Hello friends and welcome to Life Treatment, I am Lara Gboyega Adedeji, it’s amazing how that in life there are so many things that actually threaten our fulfilment of destiny and purpose, and one of it which is fundamental and essential is what we would be looking at today, and it is laziness. What is laziness? It means being slothful, it means the quality of being unwilling to work or use energy. It is when somebody is at a point or a state of being idle, just doing nothing. You are not applying yourself, you are not putting yourself to work, you are not exerting energy, you are just being slothful, you are being lazy. And it’s a problem because usually when you are at this state in life, you are unwilling and unable to move yourself from where you are to where you ought to be.

 

 

There is often a common saying and it’s also a law scientifically, that everything remains at a state of rest until an external force is applied. So, everything remains still, there is no motion except something is applied, or except a force is applied. So, your life will remain at that state of rest until you apply energy, until you apply work to it. So, you have to work out your life. Your life and your destiny won’t just happen, you need to apply yourself, even if God has said something to you, about a great and enviable destiny, if you don’t work it out, you will realize that you will end up just sitting down there and nothing will happen.

 

 

So, it’s important that we embrace work. I found a Scripture that is so apt and important for us to learn from. Romans 12:11. I am reading from the Good News Bible. “work hard and do not be lazy.” So, the treatment for laziness is diligence. Work hard. Working hard is diligence. It’s not a curse to work, it’s actually a blessing. Work hard and do not be lazy, serve the Lord with a heart full of devotion. So, God expects you to be devoted to service, to be devoted to work. God loves those that work, and it is important for you to understand that you can’t continue to sit down folding your hands and your legs doing nothing.

 

 

If you sit down doing nothing, your life will remain at a state of rest. And that rest is not a positive rest, it means your life will have no motion. Your life will have no movement. You are just going to be there. If God has spoken to you that you would become a great personality, you need to work it out. If you are going to become the president of Nigeria, they will not just give you that platform, you need to work at it. There are certain steps and processes you have to go through. And we must understand this in life, it’s a principle in the kingdom of God. Work is essential, you cannot afford to be lazy. You need to be diligent. The Bible says; see a man diligent in his business, he will stand before kings and not mere men.

 

 

Diligence is hard work. Diligence is not sitting down folding your legs and your arms doing nothing. Diligence is putting the work to your life. Put the work to your destiny. If there is anything you desire greatness over or in, in your life, work it out. If you desire greatness in your marriage, put the work to it. If you desire greatness in your career put the work to it. If you desire greatness concerning your children put the work in parenting. So, it’s important and vital for us to arrive at our destiny, to arrive at the destiny that God has for us, it’s important we embrace diligence. Laziness is not the way; diligence will get you there. And I believe that you have been able to glean wisdom from this episode of life treatment. Put to work everything that you want to be great around you and you will see it blossom beautifully for you.
