Hello friends and welcome to another episode of Life Treatment, I am Lara Gboyega Adedeji. I am so excited to have you join me again on life treatment where we bring Scriptural solutions to life issues that threatens our destiny as a people. And today we are looking at yet another concept and life-threatening issue that we are trying to see through the word of God a treatment for. And today we are looking at SHAME. And what does this mean? Shame talks about a painful feeling of humiliation. I don’t know whether you have been at that phase in your life where you have that painful feeling of distress, of being humiliated.

 

You just feel as if the ground should just open and swallow you up at that point, where you feel unfortunate and regrettable, a feeling or situation over an action or a situation in your life. That is shame. And what is the treatment for shame, we are going to look at a Scripture in Isaiah 45:24. “They will say of me only in the Lord our righteousness and strength, men will come to Him and all who are angry at Him will be put to shame.” So, when we have that painful feeling of being humiliated or being distressed or having that feeling of feeling unfortunate or having a regret over a situation or action, we often feel that shame.

 

But what is the treatment for it? The Bible says that; only in the Lord are righteousness and honor. What you need is the honor that comes from God. There are times in your life where you feel shame over an action or a situation, you feel as if all hope is lost, at that point where you feel that painful experience of being humiliated or distressed, what you need is to run to God, because only in the Lord will you find honor. What you need for that shame is honor, the Bible says; for your shame you will have double honor. So, I don’t know that phase in your life, that action, or that situation, where you are feeling ashamed; maybe you got pregnant out of wedlock and you are so ashamed of it, you are ashamed of the action, you are ashamed of the situation, it looks as if your world is collapsing before you, if feels as if you should not be outside, you should not be seen amongst people. You need to come into God because its only in God that you can have your honor back. There is no matter how much people can say or motivate you out of that situation or action, it will not return you back to the original state of honor you should be in. And that is why you need to find succor in God. You need to come to the Lord because it is only in God that you will have honor.

 

So, it is important for this to be your testimony, just like Isaiah 45:24 says; they will say of you, that only the Lord is your righteousness and your honor. I believe this will be your testimony. For every shame you will have double honor, over that situation, over that action that have brought shame to you as an individual, over that situation, that action has brought shame to your family.

 

I pray for you, that you will experience honor in God, as you come into God, as you have decided to allow the Lord to envelope you with His presence, you will feel that honor, you will receive that honor from the Lord that will take away and treat every shame in your life in the name of Jesus. So, whatever it is that you are going through, whatever that shameful experience is; whatever that shameful action is; please run to God, it is not a time to wallow in self-pity, it’s not the time to be isolated away from God and from people, it is a time to run to the Lord. For only in the Lord will you find righteousness and honor.

 

I believe that you have gleaned wisdom from this episode of life treatment. Please don’t allow that shame to define your destiny. Your life is greater than that experience, it is greater than that action, it is greater than that situation. So much is ahead of you that God has planned for you.
