This week at Centre for New Dimension Leadership is our mission week to the land of Australia and I believe that the Lord has been speaking to us as a people as we began to lift our voices towards God concerning the people of Australia and the authorities in Australia. Today I believe the Lord has a charge for us as a people, the people in Australia, the people around the world who have a responsibility for the people of Australia.

 

Listen To Podcast: ON BECOMING A SERVANT LEADER: HOW TO ESTABLISH SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY IN ANY CITY OR COUNTRY

 

We will continue this week as the Lord has helped us. I am sure you remember that I have said this is a special edition of our Leaderview. I am sure you remember when we did The Leadership Trip to Genesis. Now, the Lord has been helping us at the Centre for New Dimension Leadership over the last few days on our Missions to Australia. The heart of God at this moment for us is that we reach out to the people of Australia. And perhaps, you are not an Australian and you are listening, maybe there is a word for you for the people of Australia and I want you to be very attentive as you listen to this. We are continuing the Series: On Becoming A Servant Leader, and today, we are looking at How To Establish Spiritual Authority In Any City Or Country. We will continue learning from the man called Nehemiah whom we saw and we have seen over the last few weeks as a servant leader, as a leader who served his generation.

 

One of the things that is expected of us as servant leaders is that we serve our generation and we serve the humanity according to the purpose of God. At the Centre for New Dimension Leadership, the Lord has commanded us to serve the people of Australia this week and so, we are praying for the people of Australia, we are trusting God for a message, a word for the Australians, and we are trusting God that what God intends to accomplish in the land of Australia is enforced through our words and our prayers as a people including you that is listening right now to this word. So, the charge for us today is encouraging us towards establishing spiritual authority in any city or country.

 

You must understand that every people, every language, every tribe, every nation is subject to some authority or the other. Now, while you could become comfortable with human constituted authorities or perhaps some demonic constituted authority; it is important you know that if there could be some benefits from human constituted authorities, from authorities of men; I am sure you should understand that so much could be done if a people, a land submits to the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ. The goal of this message is to create an awareness in each and every one of us that God expects us as His people, as His leaders, leading in organizations and in different cities; to have the consciousness that God can use us to establish His authority in any city and in any country. And I am sure you understand that the Lord is using Australia also to show us an example of what is possible, that what God is able to do in Australia, God is able to do it in your country and in other countries that God put your heart to labor for.

 

"How To Establish Spiritual Authority In Any City Or Country." And I want to read the book of Nehemiah chapter 7 and I will start my reading from verse 1. The Bible says:

 

"Then it was, when the wall was built and I had hung the doors, when the gatekeepers, the singers, and the Levites had been appointed, ² that I gave the charge of Jerusalem to my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the leader of the citadel, for he was a faithful man and feared God more than many. ³ And I said to them, “Do not let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot; and while they stand guard, let them shut and bar the doors; and appoint guards from among the inhabitants of Jerusalem, one at his watch station and another in front of his own house.” ⁴ Now the city was large and spacious, but the people in it were few, and the houses were not rebuilt. ⁵ Then my God put it into my heart to gather the nobles, the rulers, and the people, that they might be registered by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of those who had come up in the first return, and found written in it:"

 

Let me jump to Nehemiah 8 from verse 1, the Bible says:

 

"Now all the people gathered together as one man in the open square that was in front of the Water Gate; and they told Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses, which the Lord had commanded Israel. ² So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly of men and women and all who could hear with understanding on the first day of the seventh month. ³ Then he read from it in the open square that was in front of the Water Gate ^[a]from morning until midday, before the men and women and those who could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law."

 

Verse 8:

"So they read distinctly from the book, in the Law of God; and they gave the sense, and helped them to understand the reading. ⁹ And Nehemiah, who was the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day is holy to the Lord your God; do not mourn nor weep.” For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the Law."

 

Verse 11:

"So the Levites quieted all the people, saying, “Be still, for the day is holy; do not be grieved.” ¹² And all the people went their way to eat and drink, to send portions and rejoice greatly, because they understood the words that were declared to them."

 

Now, let us pause here for a while. I am sure you remember that Nehemiah got a burden when he was at the Citadel in Shushan, working as a cup-bearer to the king of Babylon. Now he got a burden for the land of Judah and so he returned. He returned so that he may work to rebuild the walls and the broken down houses. So, for the glory of God, for the glory of his city; he came back to build it. So, in verse 7, when he had done all these, the Bible says he gave charge of Jerusalem to his brother Hanani, not because he was just his brother, and Hananiah, not because he was just another person, but because of the fear of God in the heart of his brother and because he was a faithful man.

 

Now, what we are looking at today is "How To Establish Spiritual Authority In Any City Or Country." Prior to this moment, what the people of the land of Judah were doing was just building the city. They were rebuilding the broken walls. Now, the consciousness of God was strong in their hearts. But when the charge of the land was given to the man called Hanani by the help of God and by the efforts of Nehemiah the governor, by the efforts of Ezra who was the Priest and the Scribe, the people were brought back to the state of spiritual consciousness. In fact, the Bible says they began to weep, they began to mourn. Why? They heard certain things from the law of God that brought them to their kneels. So, they became sorrowful and sad.

 

Now, when they were further encouraged, in chapter 8 from verse 12, the Bible says "And all the people went their way to eat and drink, to send portions and rejoice greatly, because they understood the words that were declared to them." The question is: How did they understand the words that were delivered to them? Because a people received charge to bring them to the place of spiritual consciousness. Now, what the Lord has for us is to show us what is possible using the land of Australia as a case study. Now, there is a word from the Lord concerning Australia in Nehemiah 7:4 which I want us to note. It says "Now the city was large and spacious, but the people in it were few, and the houses were not rebuilt." This is what the Lord is saying concerning Australia. Now, in this state, as it was for the land of Judah, the people were few, the land was spacious and the houses were not rebuilt.

 

In that state, a man was given charge over them, just like God is giving us charge at Centre for New Dimension Leadership over the land of Australia so that we can work together with every spiritual authority, with everyone, both in Australia and outside Australia to bring the Australians to the place of spiritual consciousness and that they might submit to the true God who have sent His son Jesus Christ to deliver them from their sins and the power of the kingdom of darkness. Now, one thing that I observe looking at chapter 7 of the book of Nehemiah and chapter 8 is that, towards establishing authority in any city or any country, one very important thing that must be done is that there must be a search for faithful men and afterwards, there must be a search for men that fear God. And when such men are found, they should be given a charge over the cities. And that is what Nehemiah did in chapter 7 verse 2. From verse 1 it says:

 

 Then it was, when the wall was built and I had hung the doors, when the gatekeepers, the singers, and the Levites had been appointed, ² that I gave the charge of Jerusalem to my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the leader of the citadel, for he was a faithful man and feared God more than many.

 

So, if you must also be used in the hand of God, you must also be used by God as a leader who serves his generation. One of the things that you must take note is that there must be a great search for men who are faithful, for a people who are faithful and then; there must be a search for men who fear God and once they are found, the charge for the city must be given to them. There is a place that I want to quickly read in 2 Timothy 2:1-2. The Bible says "You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. ² And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." Towards establishing spiritual authority in any city, in any country, you require faithful men, who will be able to teach others the things that they have been done.

 

God intends to infiltrate Australia with His revival. The fire of God is set to be released on Australia and the people of Australia. Now, towards bringing this to pass, certain people must be found by God who must have charge over the cities of Australia. And that is what God is doing. God is seeking for and searching for men. From the cities of Australia, from Sydney to Melbourne and every other city in Australia, God is looking for men and women He could find faithful, men and women who fear Him, men and women He could give charge of the cities to. One thing that is very clear in my spirit about what the Lord has determined to do concerning Australia is that, the word concerning Australia as we found it in Nehemiah 7:2 is that indeed the land of Australia is a spacious land, the land of Australia is a land that is large and conducive and comfortable, a spacious land. The land is ripe for harvest. The land is filled with many opportunities. That is what the Spirit is saying concerning the land of Australia.

 

However, the land of Australia only has few hands available for God to use. And so, because of this; many families, many homes, many destinies are broken, are unredeemed, unsaved and unreached. Because the land is spacious, there are many opportunities in the land, yet, there are few people who are available for God to use. There is currently a state where families are broke, homes are broken, destinies are broken, they are unredeemed, unsaved and unreached. And so, God has this word for you who believe very strongly that the kingdom of God must come upon Australia and the people of Australia. The place that God has for you, as a man, a woman who wants to serve the purpose of God in your generation is to rise up at such a time as this to be useful in the hands of God for the people of Australia, for the land of Australia.

 

That is what God has put in my heart today and this is how the spiritual authority of Christ Jesus can be established in any city, in any country. The three things that we considered was: There must be a search for faithful men, there must be a search for men who fear God and there must be charge given to those men. When you find faithful men and men who feared God, give them charge, give them authority over the cities. And that is what God is doing concerning every life, every one that God has called for the purpose of reaching out to the nations. God is searching for your heart and He is beaming His search light on your own heart. God wants to know how faithful you are and if you truly fear Him. And indeed, God wants to know if He could indeed trust you with charge over nations.

 

I believe very strongly that God is ready to send laborers into Australia. I believe very strongly that God is ready to send men and women to the great harvest in the land of Australia. The prayer is that God should find a people who are waiting for His visitation. And so, I want you to join me in prayer concerning the land of Australia this moment that the Lord would find faithful men cities of Australia, God would find men who fear Him among the cities of Australia and God will give charge over the cities to those men. The Lord will raise for Himself an army, a set of people that could be entrusted with the destinies of the people of Australia. The Lord would find men who would labor with God towards the redemption of Australians, towards the revival of Australians, that the will of God will be done, the kingdom of God will come down upon the land of Australia, the Lord will raise up spiritual leaders, men and women who would stand their guard and be a watchful guard over the cities of Australia.

 

See what happened in Nehemiah 8:13:

 

"Now on the second day the heads of the fathers’ houses of all the people, with the priests and Levites, were gathered to Ezra the scribe, in order to understand the words of the Law."

 

Earlier, they gathered the people. But now, the people are the ones that gathered themselves. This is what God is able to do in Australia. God is able to raise a people unto Himself whose heart would pant after Him. But if that will ever happen, it depends on men and women that God must find faithful, who fear him and who must be given charge over the cities of Australia. Do you want God to find you useful? I want you to pray to God and say Lord, here I am send me, here I am, use me. Lord, here I am, send me for the people of Australia, send me to the people of Australia, here I am, use me for the people of Australia. Use me for the Australians, use me for the land of Australia. Use me Lord, send me in the name of Jesus.

 

Lord we thank you for the opportunity to share this word with spiritual leaders across the nations, beginning from Nigeria to the land of Australia and every other nations listening. Lord we asked that laborers will be raised for the land of Australia, men and women who will raise up their voices, who will pray and intercede for the land of Australia, men and women who will take up the charge of teaching the Australians the way of the Lord Jesus Christ, men and women who will go to Australia to disciple nations, Lord we ask that you will raise up for yourself a group of people, men and women who will not be discouraged and compromise; men and women who will remain steadfast and resolute in their convictions in Christ Jesus, who will become ambassadors and light bearers who will be sent to Australia to become catalysts for change for most of the people of Australia in the name of Jesus.

 

Lord we thank you for this moment and what you are set to do in the land of Australia and among the nations, thank you for lives that you are redeeming and saving; thank you for destinies that you are reaching, thank you for the spacious land of Australia, filled with bountiful harvests, is being populated in the name of Jesus, by right people, by leaders, by men and women that you have raised up, who are light bearers and ambassadors of the kingdom of God, who will go to the nooks and crannies of Australia to evangelize, to disciple and to raise up a people unto the Lord, a people who are on fire and that cannot be messed around with by the devil, a people who are not given to error and to the doctrines of demons in the name of Jesus.
