THE 99 TO 1 JESUS’ PARABLE OF THE LOST SOUL

Examining the Implication at a Time Like This

Listen To Podcast: The 99-1 Jesus' Parable Of The Lost Sheep: Examining The Implication At A Time Like This

I want to share something with us that I believe is germane in the heart of God. I want to share with us something that is dear to the heart of the Father. Now, there are many things that are dear to God's heart but this very thing that I am about to reveal to us is at the top of them all. You know, in economics, there is something they call scale of preference, they said scale of preference is the arrangement of wants in order of their importance. So, if you picture that statement in the heart of God, what we want to talk about is at the top of that scale of preference, it is something that is dear to the heart of God. And what exactly is it that I am talking about? It has to do with something that is the soul of man. It is about a parable that Jesus told and the implication of that parable att such a time as this.

So, everything that we're going to be talking about in this piece has to do with the soul of man. Now one of the things that we must understand and one that Jesus was actually talking about in that parable, even though he used an analogy of a lost sheep, Jesus was actually talking about the soul, or the lost soul. Now we must realize that God created the soul of man. The soul of man is not a product of evolution. The soul of man is not a product of any scientific theory. God is the One who created the soul of man. if you read Genesis chapter two verse seven (KJV), the Bible says, “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.” One of the reasons why the soul of man is precious to God is because God is the creator of that soul. God is the creator of our soul, it is not a product of evolution, the soul of man is dear to the heart of God.

You know, when you create something, one of the things that you will realize is that that thing will be dear to you. Now why is it that when people have an idea, or when people create something, why is it that they go to patent it or why is it that they go to take a copyright on it, because that creation is simply from them, it is not anyone's idea. And so, before anyone steals it from them, or before anyone steals the idea from them, they simply go to the copyright Commission or the patent rights commission to simply patent that idea. In other words, they are trying to secure the idea, they are trying to protect that idea, so that it will not slip, by error or by omission into the hands of another man. Now, why is it that God is so much interested in the soul of man? Why is it that the soul of man is really a precious thing in the heart of God? The reason is because God is the creator of the soul of man. The Bible says when He breath into the nostril of man, man became a living soul. Man didn't have any soul prior to that time, that God breathed into his nostrils.

So, the soul of man is the creation of God, the soul of man is a production of God and that is why that soul, just like anybody in the world will try as much as possible to create and to protect their invention; so also, is the soul of man in the heart of God. God will do anything, and everything possible, in order for him to secure our soul. And that is why when we begin to read that parable of Jesus, we are going to begin to see some certain things that God did, or that God always do, when it has to do with the soul of man. The soul of man is so precious to God that Jesus had to come and died to redeem the soul. That is how precious it is. If God cared less about the soul of man, or the souls of men, God wouldn't have sent Jesus. After all, He will say: “Well, I don't care about them, if they like, let their soul perish”, No! But one of the indications that we will see or that we have seen in the Bible about how much God so much love the soul of man, is that Christ came in order to redeem that soul.

Now, let me read this Scripture to us, we are still painting the background. I want to read Psalm 49, from verse 1 to 15. David wrote something about the soul of man in that particular chapter of the Bible, and I want to show us because it's going to help us to understand how important the soul of man is in the heart of God. David said:

Hear this, all peoples;
Give ear, all inhabitants of the world,
2 Both low and high,
Rich and poor together.
3 My mouth shall speak wisdom,
And the meditation of my heart shall give understanding.
4 I will incline my ear to a proverb;
I will disclose my [
a]dark saying on the harp.

5 Why should I fear in the days of evil,
When the iniquity at my heels surrounds me?
6 Those who trust in their wealth
And boast in the multitude of their riches,
7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother,

Did we understand that statement? He says those who boast in their wealth and in the multitude of their riches, David said, they cannot redeem their brother. In other words, if their brother is in trouble, if the soul of their brother is in distress and troubled, David said, even though they are wealthy, and they are rich, he said their wealth and their riches cannot redeem their brother. So that tells us that no matter how rich or wealthy you are, it may not play out when it comes to certain scenarios of life. We have seen in the world how riches, how wealth has actually failed people. People that thought that they have money, that they can do anything with money, we have seen how that wealth and riches actually failed. This was exactly what David was saying. It says: “none can redeem his brother nor give to God a ransom for him.”

Now, David was going somewhere and we are going to discover what he was talking about. Let us read further from verse 8: “for the redemption of their souls is costly, and it shall cease forever —" The redemption of the soul of man is costly. Money could not have redeemed the soul of man; wealth could not have redeemed the soul of man. And that was why it can only take the blood of Jesus to redeem man souls. Because if money or riches and wealth could redeem the soul of man, the rich according to what David was saying, would be able to afford it. Nothing will happen to them; they might perhaps live forever if money and riches were to buy the soul of man. David said there is nothing anyone can give to God to ransom the soul of man.

The soul of man is so precious to God that it's only Christ Jesus that could redeem it. That was what David was saying. From verse 10, it says:

For he sees wise men die;
Likewise the fool and the senseless person perish,
And leave their wealth to others.
11 [
c]Their inner thought is that their houses will last forever,
Their dwelling places to all generations;
They call their lands after their own names.
12 Nevertheless man, though in honor, does not [
d]remain;
He is like the beasts that perish.

13 This is the way of those who are foolish,
And of their posterity who approve their sayings. Selah
14 Like sheep they are laid in the grave;
Death shall feed on them;
The upright shall have dominion over them in the morning;
And their beauty shall be consumed in the grave, far from their dwelling.
15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of
the grave,
For He shall receive me. Selah

Who has the power to redeem the soul of man? The Bible says God. Now why will God go all the way to redeeming the soul of man? Because that soul is precious to Him? God does not want any soul to perish, because every soul is precious to God. David said “but God will redeem my soul”, not money, not wealth, not riches, not houses. It doesn't matter the number of cars that you have. He says the only person who has the power and the capacity to redeeming man’s soul is God. And why will God go all the way to redeeming the soul of man? Because that soul is precious to Him. How do we know that the soul of man is precious to God? How do we know that God loves the soul of man? Let's go and read that parable of Jesus. Matthew chapter 18:10-14, this parable shows us how precious the soul of man is in the heart of God. Jesus said:

“Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven. 11 For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost. 12 “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? 13 And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. 14 Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

Jesus painted a picture. He said, “Who is it among you who has 99 sheep and one go straying? You know, the idea is that if you have 99, and one goes missing, you could be left with 98 like you still have enough. You could even say, “well, may God protect the 98.” But the Bible says who is it? Even though he has 99 and one goes missing that will not leave the 99 and go after the one? Sometimes it sounds like foolishness. What if when he's going after the one, the 99 also goes missing? Logically, it does not make sense. And when it comes to the soul of man, this is exactly the picture in the heart of God. God leaves the 99 and still go after the very one that is straying. This shows how precious every soul is in the hands of God. He leaves the 99 and go looking for the one. There won't be piece until the one is found. Look at Luke 15. Let's look at that parable again in Luke chapter 15:1-7. I believe we got the picture, right, in Matthew chapter 18. Now look at Luke 15:1-7. Jesus was also speaking in this place.

Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. 2 And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, “This Man receives sinners and eats with them.” 3 So He spoke this parable to them, saying: 4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ 7 I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

This is how God thinks. God is not satisfied that there are two point something billion believers, so to say Christians in the world. As a matter of fact, I read something lately, that officially by October or November this year, that the population of the world would have grown from 7.8 billion people currently to 8 billion. Do we understand? God will not say because there are about two or 3 billion believers worldwide, and so He is satisfied. That particular number can be the 99 in this context now, like, “Okay, I have about 3 billion people. So, the other 4 billion people or 5 billion people can choose to perish, that is their own cup of tea.” That is not how God thinks. The picture in the heart of God is that the entire 8 billion comes to the fold. Even though there are poor 7.9 billion, let's assume that 7.9 billion people are saved. They have given their life to Christ, that remaining number; God is still interested. So, God will leave the 7.9 billion and then go after the remaining 10. This is how God thinks.

It says when he has found the one, he has 99; when he has found the one, he rejoices, he called his neighbours and friends, and they rejoice. The Bible says “I say to you, there will be more joy in heaven over one soul over one sinner repents than over 99 just persons who need no repentance.” When Jesus came to the earth, one of the things that Jesus said was that I have not come for those who are well, He says I have come for those who are sick. He says those who are well do not need physician. He said those who are ill. In the heart of God, the soul of man is so precious. So, the parables we just read, you know, gave us a perfect picture in the heart of the Father when it comes to the souls of men. God delights in not seen any soul perish. It does not give God joy that the soul of any man perishes. What gives God delight is that the soul of man is saved.

If you read Ezekiel chapter 18:4, look at what God says. He says, “Behold, all souls are mine.” All souls, it didn't say some souls, “all souls are mine, the soul of the Father, as well as the soul of the son is mine. The soul who sins shall die” Even though that is not the heart of the father that the soul that sins should die, but all souls belong to Him. And that is why God will do everything within his power, and within is reach, to making sure that no soul of man perishes. So, the soul of man is God's property, and He does not want the soul to perish. And this is the reason why God is so keen about the soul.

You know, a particular politician said recently that he is now OBIcentric. He said he has left the ruling party. And the journalist asked him, “Okay, since you've left the ruling party, where are you now?” He said he has not officially joined any political party. But he knows that he is OBIcentric. So, in other words, anything that has to do with that candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, he is interested; even though he has not officially joined. And while I was meditating, that statement came to my spirit, that God is SOUL centric. God is not OBIcentric but God is SOUL centric. Anything that has to do with the soul of man, how, it can be redeemed or can be saved, you can be rest assured that you will find God there; He is always interested. Look at First Timothy Chapter 2:1-7. See what the Bible says:

Therefore, I exhort first of all those supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men…” When God is looking at humanity, God is looking at the whole picture, not some picture. It says “be made for all men.” It says: “for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, 4 who desires all men…” The soul of man is precious to God; all, not some, God is not going to give up on any soul until that soul repents and come to Him…” who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. This is what God desires. If you are looking for God's desires and you don't know it, this is one of them. It is the desire of God that all men be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all…” Did he say some? It says: for all! to be testified in due time, 7 for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

When it has to do with humanity, God is interested in all, not just some, not Christians alone. God is interested in humanity, all be saved, not some. And that is why God will leave the 99 and go after the one. Because the soul of that particular one is as equally precious as the soul of the 99. The soul of the unsaved world is as equally precious in the sight of God as the souls of the saved. Are we getting the point now? And this is why God is not relenting, this is why God is not giving up on any soul of man. Second Peter 3:9. God is SOUL centric and I'm just showing us some Scriptures to corroborate it. Look at what Apostle Peter said. it says: The Lord is not slack concerning His promise as some count slackness, but His longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”

Peter didn’t say ‘some’ because if it is some, I believe God would have been satisfied with the current number and Christ would have come to take us away. God will say, “Well, I'm okay. This some are okay. We have provisions for them in heaven, let them come before there is overpopulation. God would have said my children on earth, stop evangelism, stop soul winning. We have gotten the slots that we need, no more admission. You know, in the university system, once the university gets the slots per admission season, they shut down the system. God is not like that. God is a God of all. So, he says, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise as some count slackness.”

Do you know the reason why Christ has not shown up? The reason is simply because there are some that are yet to come into the fold. He says God is longsuffering, He is waiting patiently. Like the story of that prodigal father, the Bible says he was waiting patiently for the son to return, because he knew he will return. God is longsuffering because He knew that there will be some that will come into the fold and that is why he is not relenting. That is why he is not given up. He will go after that one. You know, when you begin to see certain things, you know, many people have actually assumed or many people think about it, that Christ is not coming back again. Like if Christ, you know, was supposed to have come or if he will come, that He should have come. I believe you must have heard people who say that, like “forget about His coming. He is not coming again the second time. But the reason why he hasn't come is because of the some that haven’t entered the fold.

There are passages, there are scriptures that shows us that Christ is going to come again, right. I believe we've read a couple of Scripture like that. That was what Peter was saying that God is not slack concerning his promise. What was that promise he was talking about? The promise of the return of Christ. Even though it looks as if in time, in chronological calendar, it is taking longer than expected. It does not matter in the time and the agenda of God. If you read Matthew chapter 24, Jesus was telling the disciples saying “no man knows the hour except the Father.” Because God’s timing is not our timing, so, we don't begin to subject the return of Christ Jesus to our timing. But Peter said, God is not slack concerning His promise.

If you read Acts 1 from verse 9-11, the two people that appeared to the disciples when they were gazing to heaven, when Jesus was taken, and he was going, the Bible says his disciples were gazing towards heaven. They were looking at him as he was going and slicing through the clouds, and he was going back to heaven. And as they were gazing, the Bible says two men appeared to them, I believe they must have been angels, and they said to them, this same Jesus that is being taken from you now will come in like manner, as you have seen Him go. So, what does that tell us? It simply means that Christ will come again. But why has he not come? Because once Christ comes, the end has come. The coming of Christ is going to mark the end of this age. This age we are living in is called the last age or the last dispensation. And with this dispensation is the grace of God. The reason why grace is made available at this stage is because this is the last age that men can call upon the name of the Lord and be saved.

You see the moment the calendar of this age closes, the grace chapter will close with it. Do we understand? And once the grace chapter closes with this age, salvation would be almost impossible, if not totally impossible. So why is Jesus, why has He not come? The Bible says in that Peter we read that God is long suffering, God is still waiting. Because the moment the trumpet sound, and Jesus appears in the sky, there is no more salvation for anyone. And so, God who understands this, who instituted this program, knew that there will be need for patience. And that's why Peter said, HE is simply longsuffering. He says not that God is slack concerning that promise of His return. But God is simply waiting at the balcony of the entrance of every man's heart, even as they call and come to Him. God is patiently waiting for every soul of man that is yet to be saved.

So that Christ will come again, is not a lie, the Bible said it, the scriptures cannot be broken. Whatever God has said, will come to pass. If the word of God says that Christ is coming back, it doesn't matter whether it is 4000 years or 6000 years on the face of the earth. God does not look at those calendars. God looks at his home calendar. Don't forget a day with the Lord is like a 1000 years and 1000 years like a day. So, it may have been 2022 years that Christ came, or it may have been 4000 years that Christ came, no matter how long, we don't know how long, it still does not matter, Christ will come. The fact that he has not shown up does not mean that God has forgotten that he was supposed to come back. The reason why he has not come up until now was exactly what Peter showed us in that second Peter 3:9. He says “God is not willing, God is not willing that any should perish but that all, not some, all should come to repentance”, whether they are Hindus, whether they are Muslims, whether they are barbaric, whether they are herbalists, whether they are witches or wizards. God is longsuffering because God believes in his heart that they will come. And that's why Jesus has not shown up. Because once Jesus shows up, it will mark the end of this grace age.

So, all the scriptures that we've read are simply attesting to one thing, and what exactly are those scriptures attesting to? It is to the fact that God does not want any man to perish, but to come to repentance. And because God wants everyone to come to repentance, a provision for salvation was made. God does not want any man to perish and so, God made a way out and that way out is salvation. Romans chapter 5:6-8. Paul said: For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Why will Christ die for anyone? Because God does not want the soul of that one to perish. And God will go at every length to still remain patience and and long suffer, until the soul of everyone who is yet to come to Him, comes to Him. Now let's look at reasons why God goes after the one soul. What are the reasons why God will choose to go after the lost soul? That particular one soul as we read in that parable, why will God leave the 99 and go after the very one soul? What are the reasons? What are the things that God is thinking and why He will abandon 99 and go after the one. I'm going to show us four reasons why God does that.

Number one is because every soul belongs to Him, and He does not want them to end or perish where Satan has been preordained to end or perish. The number one reason why God will go after that one soul is because every soul belongs to Him, and He does not want them to end or perish where Satan has been preordained to end or perish. That is the very first reason. Everyone who refuses to give his or her soul to God will perish with Satan. Now, God did not create anyone to accompany Satan in his destiny, Satan as an already preordained destiny. Satan has been doomed for destruction from the very beginning that he rebelled against God. The destiny of Satan has been determined. So as many as will not give their soul to God, they will also end up where Satan will end. And the reason why God we wait patiently for you, because God knows that in His is preordination for your life, you are not to end with Satan, you are to end with Him.

Your eternity is supposed to be secured in God and not in hell with Satan. God knows your destiny. Why did God know your destiny? Because God created you. God knows you from the foundation of the world and He knows the path and the destiny that He has laid before you. That destiny is not to end with Satan, your soul does not belong to set up. Your soul belongs to God because God created it. But the moment you refuse to submit that soul to God, it will definitely end with Satan. And this is what God is guiding against. So, God will go after the very one soul that is lost simply because he does not want them to end with Satan. Luke 13:1-5, look at what the Bible says.

There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2 And Jesus answered and said to them, “Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things? 3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. 4 Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”

God does not want you to perish. But if you refuse to repent, Jesus said to them, you will perish. That is the end of every soul that does not repent, it is perish, destruction, doomed to be destroyed. It is as simple as that. These were the words of Jesus, right? Any soul who does not repent will perish. Destruction is awaiting such souls. The Bible says there is a way that seem right unto a man but the end of that road is death. Anyone who will not follow the trajectory of God will end up following the trajectory of the devil and the trajectory of whose you follow, that will be our end. If you follow Satan by refusing to repent and give your life to God, you will end up where Satan will end up. But that is not your destiny. So, God does not want any soul to perish, he will leave the 99 and go after the one.

Point number two: God's provision of salvation covers every soul of man on the earth without any exemption. What does that mean? It simply means there is nothing like “well it is some people that can receive salvation, and others cannot receive it.” You know, there is a notion in the heart of men that salvation belongs to some and others cannot receive salvation. No. The Salvation package of God is for every soul of man on the face of the earth. Salvation does not belong to the Jews or the Gentiles, is that not what Paul said? It says for there is no partiality with God, the same Lord over all is rich unto all who call upon Him. He says there is neither Jew nor Greek but the same Lord over all is rich. Salvation is not for a segmented people in the world, no! That salvation package is holistic. It covers every soul of man. As long as you identify that you are a soul on the face of the earth, you can be saved. Titus chapter 2:1-15.

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. 15 Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.

The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. So, there is nothing like salvation is only for some people. No, salvation is for all, even though Jesus came through the lineage of the Jews, both His assignment also is to the Gentiles. And that is why Peter was an apostle to the Jews, Paul, an apostle to the Gentiles. God has everyone in mind when it comes to salvation. So that salvation package is for every soul of man on the face of the earth without any exemption.

Point number three, there is eternal damnation for every soul of man that rejects or refuses God. Revelations chapter 20:10-15.

The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. 11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Every soul of man that rejects God will end up in the lake of fire. In the Lake of fire, there is no coming back. The Bible calls it the second death. There is no coming back from the second date. It talks about eternal damnation, no repentance. And that is why salvation can only happen at such a time as this. So, there is eternal damnation for every soul of man that rejects or refuses God. Let's look at the final point.

Point number four. There is eternal reward for every soul of man that does the will of God. Second Corinthians chapter 5:9-11. If you choose God, if your soul chooses to do the will of God, there is an eternal reward for you. Look at what Paul said:

Therefore, we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 11 Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences.

Paul said, “we will all…” Did we see that? We will all appear. We must all. So, if your soul accepts God, that soul will appear before him. And if that soul does the will of God, there is a reward from God to that soul of man that does the will of God. Did we see that? So why will God go after the very lost soul, after the very one soul? It is because there is a reward for that soul. It is because there is eternal damnation for every soul that rejects Him. It is because the salvation package has been made available for every soul of man. And it is because every soul belongs to God and God does not want any soul of man to perish.

So, as we begin to conclude, God loves you so much and God does not want you to perish. It is not God's desires, when we read in that 2 Peter 3:9, the Bible showed us the desires of God. And it didn't say that desire is for man to perish. No, it says that all come to repentance. The desire of God is that you repent, He does not want your soul to perish. He does not want your soul to go to where it was not supposed to go. And that is why He made provision for your redemption. And one thing you must realize is the fact that now, the Bible says, is the accepted time of salvation. peradventure, you have read this article and you are not born again. Now is the time to be born again. Now is the time to surrender your soul to God. Why must you surrender your soul to God? Because your soul belongs to him. Your soul doesn't belong to the devil. You willingly hand over your soul to the devil. But originally your soul belongs to God. And so, you can take that soul back from the devil and hand it over to God because God is the owner of your soul.

Why does God want your soul? Because He is the homeowner of it. Your soul belongs to Him. And so, you can make a decision today and say, you want to take your soul from the kingdom of hell and bring it into the kingdom of God. The implication of your soul receiving God is that salvation has been made available. The Bible says in Second Corinthians chapter 6:2, Paul said: “For He says: “in an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you...” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the d ay of salvation.” Peradventure, you are reading this piece and you have not given your life to Christ, the Bible says “Now is the time of your salvation.” Who knows? Maybe God is even waiting for you to read this article so that you can come to him, so that you can know that He has been waiting for you.

I pray that the Lord is going to help you to make the right decisions right now in the mighty name of Jesus. I just want you to say this prayer of salvation peradventure you are reading this article and you want to give your life to Christ. I know now is the accepted time of salvation. And I want you to say these words, with your mouth opening and believing in your heart: “Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead.  I turn from my sins and invite you to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow you as my Lord and Saviour.

Amen!

Word of Confession: (Optional)

Lord Jesus, I confess to you that I have sinned against the LORD God - in the rebellion of my heart, I have disappointed your expectations on my life. I have fallen from Your grace and followed wrong influences around me. Today, I retrace my steps back to you - and I ask that in your mercy you accept me as your son and give to me (again) the promise of the Father - the Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus, please, come and make my heart your home, and from there rule in the affairs of all men. In Jesus Name I have prayed.
