Everyone desires to make Exploits and become a voice in his or her generation, but not many can pay the price that it requires. It is true that success and Exploits does not come on people by wishes; there are so many factors that play out, and a combination of these factors in the life and activity of any person, will inevitably bring him/her to a place where Exploits are inevitable. And today we are going to briefly talk about two of those factors or principles  and we would be looking at others subsequently.

 

So what is Exploits? Exploit means, "a bold or daring feat". It could also mean to use something in a way that helps you. So Exploit could either be positive or negative, depending on the posture or disposition of a person's heart. For example; a man who is bold and daring for the work of the devil could be said to be making Exploits, isn't it? So the question is who do you want to make Exploits for? And how can one begin to make Exploits? Let us find out more about what the Bible says about Exploits.

 

Jesus Christ made a statement in John 14:12. He said; “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." This statement then clearly indicates that there is a great work and there is a greater works. The great work is in the present or in the past, but greater talks about what will yet be seen and it is nothing compared to what is seen now. So while there is a great work, there can also be a work that can be greater. Jesus was simply saying; "the works that He has done can even be surpassed", showing us that Exploits is an accumulation of great works and there is no limit to what we can achieve in Christ. In Him there is limitless possibilities.

 

Daniel 11:32b, the Scripture says; "but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great Exploits." Did we see that? So there is Exploit and there is great Exploits. This means that there is a strength required to produces Exploits, and that strength is received from the knowledge of God.  Before you can receive that strength to make Exploits; you must first of all know the one who all strengths can be found and sourced in. This is simply a reminder that if you don't know God nor the person of the Holy Spirit, you can't do so much in ministry. Your Exploits is ultimately premised on how much you fellowship with the Holy Spirit. So the strength or grace you obtain is to the degree of the God you know. So the knowledge of God and the strength you have obtained is a prerequisite to any great Exploits in ministry and every endeavour.

 

See what Psalm 62:11 says; "God has spoken once, twice I have heard this; that power belongs to God."  The first part of this verse says; God spoke once and the psalmist had the responsibility to hear twice. God has given me instruction, the Holy Spirit has whispered a word into my heart,  I will not just hear but I will also meditate on them, I will not only meditate on them I will also carry it out or see that I communicate what has been spoken to me. Each time He speaks His word to a people it is not to hear and forget but to obey. He sent His word to Jacob but it produced results for Israel. He sent His word to a people and it healed and delivered them from destruction. So the spoken word of God is multi-dimensional, it is not only meant for the hearer but for the benefit of the people. So when the hearer hears this word and acts on them, they would call it Exploits, meanwhile on your part, it's just an obedience to instructions, to God's word.

 

In Joshua 1:8, the Bible says; "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." So we can see that what has been spoken once by God which is the word, has the capacity to give good success. When a man has good success, is it not the same as great Exploits? In Psalm 62:11 that we read we could see how the psalmist linked the  word with power. It says power belongs to God. If power belongs to God, His word is also powerful, and if His word is powerful then acting on that word produces the same power and it is the result we call good success or Exploits.

 

Deuteronomy 8:18 says; “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth" and I want us to note that word. "He gives power to make wealth" Is it not the same as saying; "He gives power for Exploit or He gives power for good success?" It says; "remember Him, Know Him, meditate on His word" that is where good success and Exploits can be sourced from. Psalm 62:10 says; "when riches increase, do not set your heart on them" instead set your heart on the source of the riches and strength which is God.

 

James 1:25, it says; "But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does."  See what it says "he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it" is it not the same thing we saw in Joshua 1:8? It says; "meditate on it day and night" then it says; "observe to do according" is it not the same thing James is saying here? You have once been spoken to; are you "doing accordingly"? Are you continuing in it? James called it "work" so the secret to the Exploits of any man or woman is that he/she is doing the "word". Then it summed it up by saying "this one will be blessed in what he does" he shall have good success, he shall make Exploits, he shall be blessed in whatever he does.

 

So do we see how the Scripture opens us up to secrets of every good success, Exploit or effectiveness? You can't make Exploits if you don't know God, you can't make Exploits if you don't meditate on His word, you can't make Exploits if you look into the perfect law of liberty and then forget or refuse to do according to what it has instructed. This is where the power lies, this is where the wisdom is found.

 

Understanding The Principle Of  Vision, Integrity And Skilfulness In Making Exploit

I want us to examine these two Bible passages: Acts 26:19 and Acts 13:36. In Acts 26:19, the Bible says: "Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision." Acts 13:36 says as well: "For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep." One of the things I want us to note from the two Scriptures we read above is that there is a heavenly vision and there is a factor called obedience. For the fact that the heavenly vision is not recognized, does not mean there is no heavenly vision and whatever will activate the heavenly vision is your obedience.

 

Obedience here is talking about your willingness to accept the heavenly vision. Not all visions are from heaven, and not all good ideas is a God idea. Now this is a statement of purpose. Apostle Paul was aware of the purpose of heaven, there was  a plan heaven has for a generation communicated to him through an encounter. So for every time you accept a heavenly vision which is your purpose, it gives you a voice that compels people to listen to you. This is an irrefutable law of the kingdom.

 

When the heavenly vision or purpose is communicated to a man, it is now left for the man to accept that which heaven has called him to achieve in a particular point in time or not. So he made that statement; I am not standing before you because I am a criminal, or because I choose to be on the bad books of the Jews. As a matter of fact if I had disobeyed the heavenly vision, I won't be standing before you today, I would have been on the side of the Jews. But the heavenly vision has done something to me that even I myself I can't understand. If you must make impact in any generation you must recognize that there is a heavenly vision, and you must be willing to accept that vision. It doesn't matter how much criticisms or how much shame it will cost you; it may even endanger your life;  but never because of that disobey the heavenly vision, because inherent in that vision, carries a far weight of glory only if you can obey to the end.

 

Another thing I want us to note from that verse in Acts 13:36 is that David served his own generation by the will of God. So before David died, he served, he did not just serve but he served his own generation; you may also say he was a voice in his own generation, not another generation, not the generation that came before him or the generation behind him. It was his own generation. If you must make impact and influence or Exploit you must know what the heavenly vision is, then you must by the knowledge of that vision serve your generation; not to lord it over them but to serve them. It's your own generation. And as you serve them it should be in the will of God. A lot people want to make Exploit but they don't know, they are not aware, they are completely ignorant of what the will of God is for them per time how will you know if you not discerning, how will you know if you are not willing to pay the price the process requires.

 

When you identify your generation and you know what the heavenly vision is and what the will of God is, the next thing that you must consider is written in this text. Psalm 78:72. "So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them by the skilfulness of his hands." See how David served? The heart factor every leader must guard his heart with all jealousy because out of it flows the issues of life. If service is not done with integrity of heart Exploits cannot be attained, God  cannot be mocked, heavenly vision is treated with integrity of heart. It is one thing to be willing to serve, it is another thing to do it with integrity.

 

Now David didn't just serve with integrity and leave the skilfulness. there was a combination. Both skilfulness and integrity of heart played out in His leadership. Firstly you will have to know the vision, secondly you have to know what the will of God is, thirdly you must serve your OWN generation in that will. and not forgetting integrity of heart and skilfulness of hands. serving your generation outside the will is like a boxer boxing into the air and a runner running outside the rules. there won't be any prize for you. A lot of people we see today are serving in the will but not their own generation. Every heavenly vision comes with a target for a category of people. And time is of the essence, if you miss it; you will hardly recover it. that is the reason why some people hardly make Exploit when the refuse to answer the call of God when they were supposed to answer. So by the time they accept the call and begin to serve they find out that they are serving a different generation from theirs. This is a very delicate thing that if we are not very careful we can slip out and miss out.
