Hello friends and welcome to Life Treatment I am Lara Gboyega Adedeji. I am so excited to have you join me on another inspiring episode of Life Treatment. We have seen that life issues require treatment because definitely, as we journey through life, there are things that we are not comfortable with in our lives and we know we want them out of our space. And when these kind of things happen we are looking for treatment for them. We ask ourselves: How can I get out of this? How can I be better? How can I move or forge ahead after this has happened? And that’s why what we are looking at today is so important, it’s so critical; there are many of us in our journey that have come into this state, that have come to this point and I pray that as we share together, you will receive wisdom and you will be able to move ahead after listening to this in Jesus’ name.

 

Today we are looking at CRISIS. Crisis is a time of intense difficulty or danger. When you get into a time of difficulty, it could be a financial crisis, it could be a marital crisis, a time when there is intense difficulty in your marriage, or intense danger or difficulty in your finances or even over your children, in parenting. And it also speaks of a time when it is just difficult to make an important decision and you are just in a situation where to make an important decision becomes difficult, it becomes a daunting task it is a time and a moment of crisis.

 

There are many people in their lives right now that they are in the middle of a crisis, they are in the middle of an intense time of difficulty and danger, and they are wondering, how do I get out of this? How do I forge ahead from this? How will I be able to move ahead and still fulfil my destiny in spite of all that is happening around me, despite the difficulty? A Scripture that comes to mind; Apostle Paul said we are hard pressed on every side, yet we are not perplexed. So, a crisis is a situation where you are hard pressed on every side, you are hard pressed on every side in your marriage, you are hard-pressed on every side in your finances, you are hard-pressed on every sides in your relationship, and you are asking, what is the way out?

 

I am going to share a Scripture with us that I believe will proffer treatment and answer to these questions and this issue. Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything” when you are in the middle of a crisis, when you are in the middle of an intense difficulty, or danger, when you are at that point that you are supposed to make an important decision, and it is difficult to do, do not be anxious about that situation. “But in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God.”  So, you must have a request, you must have something that you are trusting that God will do for you, you must have a request about the way out.

 

God, how will you get me out of this? Lord this is my request, Lord get me out of this difficult situation, and the Bible says when you make your request known unto God, and you are not anxious about it, but by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, you are able to let God know the situation that you are in, and how difficult and intense it is; that Scripture says “and the peace of God” because for every crisis, the treatment is peace. You need the peace of God, nothing missing, nothing broken. “And the peace of God which surpasses all human understanding will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus.”

 

When you are in the midst of a crisis, don’t be anxious. Be anxious for nothing, rather look unto God and let Him know your request, let Him know your petition, let Him know your heart cry, let Him know your desires, let Him know your expectations. And as you do that, the Bible says the peace of God. One of the things that will happen to you quickly in response to your request is that the peace of God will be guaranteed amidst that crisis, you are going to have the peace of God. The peace of God that surpasses all human understanding, it will guard your heart, it will guard your mind, it will keep you sane, it will keep you safe, it will keep you secured. In the midst of the turbulence, in the midst of the boisterous wind, God will make sure that your boat does not capsize, He will make sure that He keeps you still, He is going to give you peace, and He is going to still the storm around you. And you will see that you will walk out of that boat alive, and you will walk out of that situation without a scratch on your body.

 

I believe that will be your testimony. So, no matter what the crisis is, I know it’s difficult, I know it is intense, but you need to trust the Lord.  And how do you show that you trust Him?  Refuse to be anxious and go to Him with a request, and as you do that, His peace that surpasses all human understanding will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus.
