"A big Dream is a substantial wish or an inspiration for something, of which when we attain it; we believe it would fulfil or satisfy an inner longing or desire"
Duncan Muguku
Is it true that what you don't Dream about cannot become your reality? If that is true then it means that the world belong to Dreamers, and until you Dream you can't seek the word to make it a reality. Dreamers are seekers of the word, and in this context, those who have the word, skills or gifts that clarify your Dreams and build you up for it are called interpreters. I usually say to my friends; "If you carry a log of wood on your head, you will never walk the same way with a man who is carrying a butterfly" What am I trying to say in essence? The way you walk is determined by the weight you carry on your head or shoulders.
When you observe the life of a man and how careful he is with life, what principles guides his life, the decisions he makes, and the company he keeps, find out about his Dream. The Bible says; Where there is no Dream/vision the people cast of restraints. (Proverbs 29:18). If nothing is putting your life in check, and you break rules that are supposed to guild you, then you are a person of no vision. So vision and Dreams influences our decisions. So the easiest way to spot a man of Dreams is to check what his goals are in life. Two people may want to become a farmer, but the Dream about their farm size, the quality and quantity of crops they will harvest is ultimately dependent on the kind of vision they have.
Dreams talk about what you see with your spiritual eyes, or a mental picture of the kind of future you want or desire. If you never have one; you should trust God to give you, and if you do I must say congratulations; but what are you doing about that Dream? Do you get up and begin to run haven never prepared for it. This is the reason why lot raised up his eyes and saw vegetation instead of nations. Please journey with me and I believe God will bless you abundantly.
Asides having a Dream there are people who God has strategically positioned in your life to help you actualize that Dream. For every great Dream given to pharaoh there is a Joseph who must interpret, for every Dream given to Nebuchadnezzar, there is a Daniel who must interpret. You may have a vision or Dream given to you by God, it is not out of place to lack the capacity to interpret, there are specially crafted servants who must help you translate it into reality. These men are gifted for it, God may conceal a matter, entrust a matter, a project, a vision or whatsoever into your hands, but he designs other men around you anointed with a capacity and resources to translate or interpret and give it a meaning. I want us to see a Scripture in Genesis 40 from verse 5. It says; "Then the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were confined in the prison, had a Dream, both of them, each man’s Dream in one night and each man’s Dream with its own interpretation." I want us to note that word; "each man's Dream with its own interpretation."
Destinies are peculiar, and Gods design and assignment for every man are not the same. So also His working and timing for everyone are not the same. You don't apply the formula that worked for Mr. A, to work for Mr. B. Their levels of perception and understanding are different. The magnet that attracted the metal will never attract the plastic. They are made of different properties. To some plain sayings are very dark to them. You don't apply the formula that worked for a spiritual man to a carnal man and expect it work. We dare not classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves, for right formulas proffer solutions when applied on the right problems. Spiritual things are discerned by spiritual people. Every man with His own Dream, his own peculiar Dream, and each of this Dreams has a peculiar interpretation.
See what verse 6 says; And Joseph came in to them in the morning and looked at them, ”and saw that they were sad” They were sad because there is a problem, the reason is because they are searching for answers to the true meaning of life. It means that Dreams has a capacity to sharpen the countenance of a man, the problem was not that they have never Dreamt or that they did not Dream, but they lacked the capacity to interpret it, what is interpretation? It is you knowing the true meaning of a thing. Every time you see kings who wake up in the morning with a sad face worried and confused, it because there was a Dream they lacked the power to interpret. And the way God designed men; they can go to any length or do anything in the quest to find meanings to their lives. So the king was ready to kill those who hold the office of interpretation but couldn't solve the riddle, and ready to reward and elevate anyone who could interpret what troubles him. Daniel chapter 2:12 say; For this reason the king was angry and very furious, and gave the command to destroy all the wise men of Babylon. The reason why you will be among those that cast of restraints or perish is because you either don't have a Dream or you cannot interpret your Dream.
Now I want us to see the prophetic interpretation Joseph gave to each of those Dreamers; verse 13 says; "Now within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your place, and you will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand according to the former manner, when you were his butler". I want us to note that word "pharaoh will lift up your head" and I want us to see the interpretation of the chief bakers Dream in verse 19 it says; "Within three days Pharaoh will lift off your head from you and hang you on a tree; and the birds will eat your flesh from you.” Again I want us to note a word it says "Pharaoh will lift off your head."
See that? One's head was "lifted-up", while the others head was "lifted-off" don't forget that that they were both in the dudgeon, and they were both occupying an office, and they were both leaders in different capacities in Pharaohs court if the Bible says "chief" It means they had subjects also, it means they were stewards, while one is entrusted to keep safe what pharaoh will drink the other was in charge of what the King will eat. No one of them had a greater office than the other, if the butler appears before pharaoh to give him a drink the baker also appears before him to give him something to eat. But one thing was required of them; "faithful stewardship."
Now let us see what happened in the spiritual that made each of them have different Dreams and its interpretation. When you read verse one of Genesis 40, you will realize that the both of them offended their lord the King of Egypt. We didn't know what they did, but the kind of Dream each of them had gave us a picture of what warrants such punishment. The chief butler while narrating his Dream, he said; "behold in my Dream a vine was before me", and I want us to note that. He continued; "and in the vine were three branches; it was as though it budded, its blossoms shot forth, and its clusters brought forth ripe grapes. 11 Then Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand; and I took the grapes and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand.” Did you see that? I was put in charge of the vine and I tended and kept it and while it blossomed an opportunity came, the cup of pharaoh entered my hand, note that nobody instructed him to squeeze the vine, he converted the grapes into wine and placed the cup in pharaoh hand.
He served Pharaoh as the opportunity came, he served him a fresh wine. For some of us the reason why we can never get lifting is because we are comfortable with the old wine, we keep serving the old wine until it gets exhausted, and then we begin to beat the empty drum making noise here and there. This is the reason why for so many ministries today, their wine is exhausted so they replace it with noise and entertainment. Noise is simply a sign that the wine is finished. And so because he did that; because he managed the resources, his interpretation was a promotion. Do we now see that God does not waste resources? See what Jesus said to the unprofitable servant; in Luke 19:26; For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
This was the disposition of the butler, this was why the butlers head was lifted, when the master returned he presented profit and he was given 10 more cities. The king and "his mothers sons were not angry with him because he was made the keeper of the vineyards and he kept them including his own." Now see the Dream of the chief baker who his head was lifted off. The emphasis is on verse 17; Verse 16 says; "he was carrying three white baskets on his head and in verse" 17 "In the uppermost basket were all kinds of baked goods for Pharaoh, and the birds ate them out of the basket on my head.” See what happened "the birds ate them all out of the basket." How can a man carry something on his head and birds come to eat them? Carelessness! while the first servant preserved what was entrusted into His hands the other was unfaithful he didn't preserve it, he buried his talent.
This is how Dreams, gifts, talent and responsibilities are lifted up and lifted off from the shoulders of stewards across all works of life. See what the Master said in Luke 19:27; "bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.” When you are careless with your Dream, when you are unfaithful with the task of the master, you will be lifted off. Jesus said in John 15:2; Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Which side are you standing? What is your interpretation of these things? Your Dreams can either make or mar you depending on how you handle it. If you will not perish like others. If you will ever be productive and useful, you should settle the matter of your Dreams and align with an interpreter. Note that the interpreter will never stop your greatness, it is the interpretation that gets you into greatness and solve your problems.
