As the Holy Spirit leads us this morning, please He would love us to be sensitive, discerning and conscious because He would be saying so many things to us that might just be coming through this microphone but from the depth of our spirit, we would be hearing His voice speaking to us directly, not necessarily in the format of this message, but a personal word to each and every one of us giving us specific instructions to step up and I pray the Lord will help us this morning in Jesus name. So, we are going to start by observing the book of Isaiah 34, because we are going to look at two things in this message this morning.

 

The Lord wants us to understand the script of life and understand its writing. There is a writing of it and there is a script. When we talk about script we all know that script is something written, to script something is to write something. So when we talk about a script, we are talking about something that is written,  and when we talk about script we are talking about; to write something.  But let us see from the book of Isaiah 34:16 what the Lord  will give us as a working definition this morning. It says:

 

“Search from the book of the Lord, and read:
Not one of these shall fail;
Not one shall lack her mate.
For My mouth has commanded it, and His Spirit has gathered them.

 

That means it is already written, search from that book, the book is not of man it is the book of the Lord, search for the book of the Lord and read. Another version says my mouth has ordered it. We are going to pause a little on this verse before we move to other verses of the Scripture. It says "search from the book of the Lord which has been written and read what has been written." When you read what has been written, you will know that not one of these shall fail, not one shall lack her mate. When you search and read you will discover this.

 

And this is the reason, when you discover what has been written, you will now realize that the reason why it will not fail, the reason why no one will lack his or her mate is that the mouth of the Lord has ordered it, it has been commanded. Not just that, it says and His Spirit has gathered them. So the script of God which is the Scriptures that we read that has been written down, the book of the Lord, is the book that the mouth of the Lord has ordered. He has commanded and His Spirit gathered them.

 

It is not just something that people just felt at this point I want to write down something, I want to script something, No! The reason why these words will not fail, the reason why non will lack their mate is not just because it is written, it is because my mouth has commanded it, the mouth of the Lord has commanded it, and His Spirit has gathered them. Please let us have this Scripture in our heart as we go on this morning . The script of life and its writing. One of the things you must identify quickly before we go on is that God from the beginning, had a structure on ground from Genesis chapter 1, and chapter 2, God had a laid down arrangement and structure for the life of man.

 

I want us to see that Scripture in Genesis so that we will see how God scripted man into existence. Genesis 1:26, the Bible says:

 

"Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

 

This Genesis chapter 1 verse 26 is what the mouth of the Lord had commanded. So it was scripted, so the mouth of the Lord commanded that, "Let us make man" and we would have thought that God was talking too much, the order is, let Us make man, Why didn't He stop there? Why is He going into details? Why did He begin to talk about what the man would do and who He would become. Because we would have thought let us make man in our image, in our likeness, is enough description, for the product. But God began to go into specifics and details, because when the mouth of the Lord commands it, His Spirit will gather them.

 

And the Spirit of the Lord will not gather things that are not scripted or spelt out. So when the Lord commands it out of His mouth, He commands it in such a way that His Spirit will gather them. And you would see in Genesis 1:1, you will see the same order and structure that God put in place. In Genesis 1:1-3, the Bible says: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. ² The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters."

 

You will wonder, why was the Spirit of the Lord hovering? Because God was mentioned first, then the next personality that was mentioned is the Spirit validating the same thing that God said in Isaiah 34:16. The mouth of the Lord commands it and His Spirit gathers them. So there are two personalities as it were that are important in the scripting and execution of God's mandate. God who commands with His mouth, who orders with His mouth and says let us make man, let us make the heaven and the earth. Then the Spirit of the Lord that does the gathering. We must understand why this is important to us as we move into the new year. You cannot play with the mouth of the Lord that commands, and you cannot joke with the Spirit of the Lord that gathers.

Because for you to be able to walk into all that God has for you in the new year, this two experiences must come to pass in your life. Not just the mouth of the Lord that commands it because the Bible says and  "His Spirit" not all. So it is something that is a joint arrangement. When the mouth of the Lord orders and commands it, then the Spirit of the Lord will gather them, and we will see the reason why this is so important. It says further "And the Spirit of the Lord was hovering over the face of the deep, then God said let there be light and there was light." Now if we look at that verse three, what we would say is "wow, God spoke and it came into force." But let us not forget Isaiah 34:16. The Bible says "for the mouth of the Lord commanded it because the Scriptures cannot be broken. We use Scriptures to interpret Scriptures.

 

There are some Scriptures we will read and it looks as if there is a gap between what God said and what happened and we would be wondering how did it happen? The Holy Spirit wants to explain to us how it happened because God is creating a new season for us in 2020 and this is how we would see the realization and actualization of all the things that we would be experiencing. The mouth of the Lord will command it and His Spirit will gather it. Now when God said let there be light, remember in verse two the Bible says and the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the deep. You will think that is where the Spirit of God's assignment ended, No! God orders it with His mouth, and the Spirit of the Lord gathers them. When God says "let there be light", the Spirit of the Lord gathers that word and brings forth the light.

 

So the Holy Spirit is the executioner or the executor of God's word. God speaks and His Spirit gathers them. You would wonder what is the Spirit gathering? The Spirit is executing that word, God says let us build the house, the Holy Spirit puts the blocks in place. So He said let there be light but at this point from that verse three you will see that apart from that verse two, the Spirit of God was not mentioned as its written let there be light and there was light. If we are going to go into details, we would say then God said, the mouth of the Lord commanded, let there be light and the Spirit of the Lord gathered them and there was light. That's the actual occurrence. God speaks and His Spirit gathers them. So as we are moving into a new season that God is preparing for us, God will order and command certain experiences in your life, but it is the Spirit of the Lord that will gather them. That is why the script of life is as the Lord has ordered it.

 

When God speaks, God is writing, and when He has written, the Spirit of God gathers that written document, and brings it to force. It is enforced. How is the will of God be enforced on the earth? By the Spirit of God. Jesus said I am going to the Father, howbeit, the Holy Spirit will come, He will help you, He will reveal to you, all that is written and He will become the power of God that brings to force all that God has spoken. So, for your life to be as God has scripted you need the Holy Spirit. It is the Spirit of the Lord that will gather all those words that you have been receiving. God said in 2020 "I will be the head and not the tail", the Spirit of the Lord will gather them.

 

But this is it, this is where the issue is; when God says it and commands it, are we working with His Spirit to gather them? Because until we come into partnership with the Holy Spirit, until we agree and align ourselves with the Holy Spirit, there cannot be a gathering of that word in our lives. It is like the word of God is spoken into the atmosphere just like we are here this morning, there are certain things God wants to do this morning, they are in the atmosphere, it is until you and I align and agree with God that the Spirit of God will gather those words and domesticate it. It is just like having an international convention, that is how the Scripture is.

 

You have in the pages of the Scriptures things that have been scripted concerning your life, concerning my life that God has ordered and commanded. This is a kingdom document. Jesus said pray this way; "let your kingdom come, let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." So what the Lord has commanded and ordered is in the realm of the heavens. It is when we align and agree that the Holy Spirit gathers the things that are existing concerning you, concerning me in the heavenly realms and He brings it and domesticate it your life.

 

So when God is writing, He said what I say to one I say to all, does not mean that what I say to one that is supposed to be beneficial to all, will be the experience of all. it will only become the experience of all, when they align themselves in the Spirit, and the Spirit is able to gather those words and domesticate it in their lives. That is why many denominations at the beginning of this year from December 31st towards 1st of January, they will make declarations concerning the word of the year.

 

It says this year is the year of goodness, that word is general, that word is a scripted word until the Spirit of God gathers that word in your alignment with the will of God, that that word can become domesticated in your life. And I want us to see John 1 because this gives us a good picture into how this works. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. What does this mean? In the beginning when God spoke, remember in the beginning God said, so the word has always being from the beginning. The script has always been there and It says this particular word we are talking about was with God and the word was God. God had possession of the word because the word is Him you can't separate God from His word. God is an embodiment of His word.

 

And verse 2-5  says:

 

He was in the beginning with God. ³ All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. ⁴ In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. ⁵ And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.  

 

I am going to move quickly to verse 10:

 

He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. ¹¹ He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. ¹² But as many as received Him, we are talking about the word, as many as aligned with Him, as many as aligned with the script of God. There is a script for your life in 2020 which the mouth of the Lord has ordered, which the mouth of the Lord has commanded, but the Bible says as many as received, as many as obtained, as possessed this word, received Him to them He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become. You see there is a difference, the word exist, the word is true, the word is alive, the word is sharper than any two edged sword, the word is pure, the word of God is flawless, the word of God exist on its own but you have to receive it.

 

Before the word should become flesh, you have to receive it. So that talks about your alignment, when you receive something you have decided to align with that thing. So when we receive the script of God we align with the script of God. We say Lord I believe, Lord I receive it, that was what Mary was saying when she said; let it be unto me according to your word, she received it, and the Bible says as many as received Him the word, it says He gave them the right.

 

So for this people, the Spirit of the Lord can gather the word for them. He has given them the right, access, privilege to be the children of God. So what does that mean? What God says can be made manifest in your life. Because you have received the word, because you have aligned yourself with the word. And it says to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name, who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

 

This is what happens when the word transits from just what the Lord commanded and ordered to what the Spirit of the Lord has gathered. The word became flesh, the word became tangible, the word left the pages of the Scripture.

 

Jesus was saying to the Pharisees, He said, you read the Scriptures as if in it you have eternal life. You have searched the Scriptures, you go around with your big Bible, as if in it you have eternal life, when you read it and when people see you with big Bible as if the words are at work in your life, He said it does not work like that. The letter kills but the Spirit gives life because it is the Spirit that gathers them. So, it is not enough to say God has said; has the Spirit gathered those words for you? So in 2020 it is not enough to say but the Lord has said I am the head and not the tail, has the Lord gathered that word for you?

 

Until the word becomes flesh. It says and the word became flesh and dwelt among them and we beheld His glory. Now we can see the manifestation, we can see His glory, it says; We beheld His glory (His honour, His majesty), such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father, full of grace (favour, loving-kindness) and truth.

 

And we can see, this new year that God is ushering us into He is asking us to step up, understand how the word works. God is not a man that would lie nor the son of man that would repent, if He says a thing, it will come to pass. Isaiah 55:11 God said so will it be that every word that goes out of my mouth, it will not return back to me void. But it will accomplish that which I have sent it. It must accomplish, But how will it accomplish? It is when the Spirit of the Lord gathers them. God's word for life will not fall to the ground this new year, because we will partner with the Holy Spirit to gather those words in our lives. Non will fall to the ground. Because it is until we work with God, the way He wants us to work with Him, that we will see the goodness and the glory of God. Because God cannot be mocked, whatsoever a man sow that will he reap.

 

If you just sit down aloof and say Matthew 4:4 I read it yesterday, then the Holy Spirit takes you back to it, it is because He wants to gather it for you, and until that gathering happens you can't see the glory of the word. And it looks like God is speaking and it is not coming to pass and it looks as if we want to turn God a lair. But God says I want you to step up this is how it works, my mouth has commanded it and my Spirit gathered them. We are used to the mouth of the Lord commanding it, but for many of us that "and" is what is not at work in our lives, the Spirit of God is not gathering for us. And that is the difference that will mark year 2020 for you, the active presence of the Holy Spirit in your life, gathering the commandment and the order of God concerning you.

 

Jesus was saying in Matthew 4:4, man must not live by bread alone but by every word, we live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. God orders it and His Spirit gathers them. He said the word that speak to you are Spirit and they are life, so every time you see the word, you see the script because it is the Spirit that allows it to make sense. If the Spirit is not at work in your word for you, the word will not make sense to you, when Mary said let it be unto me according to your word, she said see you have told me what God has commanded, you said God has commanded that I am highly favoured that I am going to have a child, Mary said how will these things be? Remember what the angel said to her, the Spirit of the Lord will overwhelm you, do we think it is about the birth of Jesus alone? It is about every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

 

This word that proceeded out of the mouth of the Lord, for you to experience it Mary, the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, the Spirit of the most high will overwhelm you. So that seed of God, that word of God that God has commanded and ordered how will these things come to pass in 2020, the Spirit of the Lord will rest upon you and the Spirit of the most high will over shadow you that is how it will come to pass. Because what the Lord has said, He has said. Many people will carry the word of God in their Spiritual womb for twenty years no manifestation, you know the seed of God does not die, it will be there, until the Spirit of the Lord overwhelms you and overshadows you. That word will not make sense in your life.

 

The script of life is one that has been commanded and ordered by God but for it to come to force, for you to be able to act out that script, for you to be able to live out that script the Spirit of God will overwhelm and overshadow you. So 2020 is not the year God said go and prosper and you just jump out I am going to prosper. Calm down, Let the Spirit of God overshadow you, because that go and prosper there are different dimensions to it. If God speaks a word, we get carried away we rush out and we have not truly understood what God is saying. When God said to Abraham, go out of your father's house to a land I will show you, do you know Abraham continued journey but the full picture was not delivered to Abraham, in fact till Abraham died he did not see the full picture, because what did God tell him? He said in Isaac shall your seed be blessed.

 

That means there had been a blessing in Isaac as a seed that Abraham did not see, so how is it that we get excited at the word, that you have not fully grasped, that the Spirit of God has not overshadowed you, have not overwhelmed you dissect it for you, the depth of it, the height of it, the width of it and we are complaining that we are not seeing Gods word in manifestation, if you think God is asking us to step up, My mouth has commanded it but My Spirit will gather it. When Jesus making us to understand He said see you have heard so many words, you have seen so many things, He said this word that I Am speaking to you, they are spiritual and can only be discerned spiritually. And they are life, when you discern it spiritually then you will have the life of the word. The letter killeth but the Spirit gives life. It is not enough to have a verse of a Scripture, that God has given to you, until the Spirit of the Lord gathers it, that word is a word it won't die because the seeds of God don't die.

 

But until the Spirit of the Lord overwhelms you, for Mary until she was overshadowed by the Spirit of the most high, that word did not enter her womb. Let the Spirit of the Lord gather them, as we move into 2020 we need to partner with the Holy Spirit like never before, God gives you a word, sit let the Spirit sit on that word in the Spirit, meditate on that word with Him, rub minds with Him until that word becomes flesh. Because when you receive a word, there are instructions about the word. There are cautions about the word, there are do's and don'ts about the word. When Jesus was talking about the parable of the sower, He said when the word came to some it fell among thorns, the cares of the world choked the seed out of them, He talked about some that the word came but it fell by the wayside, they received the word but there was no good soil for that word to grow in. But some people will say yes I received the seed, I received the word, it is not enough to receive the word, that word must take root, that word must grow, it must multiply and it happens under the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit.

 

God's word will not fall to the ground, do you know some people are still carrying promises for twenty years, God is saying I have spoken to so many of my children, that word has not come to pass because they refuse to partner with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has not overwhelmed them, He has not overshadowed then and He does not want us to fall a victim of such He is not enough to receive a word, you must sit down with the Holy Spirit, let the Holy Spirit overshadow you, let it overwhelm you until that word becomes flesh and it becomes tangible.

 

I pray the Lord will help us in Jesus name.
