Men could use tears or gifts to buy favour and kindness from men, but God wouldn't fall for it. Except it is by Faith, there is no access to anything in the realm of God.
In Hebrews chapter 11 verse 6, see what the says, “But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”.
GOD promised Abraham that after 400 years He will deliver his descendants from the house of slavery, when the time was due for them to be remembered, they were busy crying for divine remembrance. Because it was a promise made on oaths to Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, GOD looked down and their cry was heard. (Read Genesis 15:12-16.)
“Now, therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. 10 Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” (Exodus 3:9-10.)
But because their cries were not mixed with Faith, all who started the journey from the land of Egypt except Joshua and Caleb were unable to possess their possessions; they could not enter into the rest of God. They couldn't enter it, not because their tears were burnt out so that none was left to pour out before God, but because they were void of Faith, the language of God, the delight and the desire of God.
With what have you come before the Lord that He may look upon you graciously, money, tithes, singing, dancing, complaints, good works, or endless activities? Where is your Faith, that is all that God will desire, that's all that any man or woman has ever moved GOD with; Faith. Except it is by Faith, it is Divinely offensive! Except it is by Faith, you are proud and have known nothing. Tears are not the acceptable currency in the kingdom of God, but if you must cry, let your cry and tears be poured out in FAITH.
Thanks for the gift of your time, John Ojoagbene!
