How come the world today celebrates so much what GOD hates so much, yet in our departure from the Truth — GOD, we still make it looks as if it is GOD that's responsible for our lack of authority and exercise of dominion upon the earth?

When I was still serving in 2017 as an NYSC member in Taraba State. I served in one of the Government Secondary Schools in the Ardo Kola Local Government Area. I was having a conversation with the principal of the school one day, and she needed a piece of information from me; after I told her exactly what happened because I was directly involved, she took it casually. I perceived from her facial response that she was not touched or moved by what I said, so I decided to tell her I was not lying. But to my highest amazement, she told me, "John, there is nobody who doesn't lie". She sounded as if her belief or conviction was a norm, so I took my time to find out from friends why the school principal believes so much that everybody on the face of the earth lies.

The response I got made me wonder how men had trained themselves to live contrary to the Divine ordained lifestyle: the life of GOD — righteousness.  A friend of mine, a Colleague, told me that in Islam when a situation is critical; when you are pressed to the wall and it seems there is no other way of escape, to decide to lie at that time due to the situation you are in or you find yourself, it is not a sin.

Anyways, that is just the opinion of men for convenience’s sake, but GOD didn't approve of it, it is a mere religious belief and GOD has no regard for such an opinion.

See what the Bible says in Proverbs chapter 17 verse 4, and proverbs chapter 19 verse 22

“An evildoer gives heed to false lips; A liar listens eagerly to a spiteful tongue. What is desired in a man is ^[f]kindness, And a poor man is better than a liar.”

Oftentimes, the Devil smelts or afflicts the earth with strange sicknesses, but there is no man to challenge the Devil to his face and cure the earth of her diseases. Regardless of the efforts of man to cure himself or the world of diseases, we have not been able to free the earth from various killer diseases. We seem to be uncomfortable with our reality, but we lack what it takes to rewrite the woes of the earth; although, it is our right and duty to make the earth walk in the perfect Will of God.

The Bible says:

How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. ¹⁰ With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!
¹¹ Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. ¹² Blessed are You, O Lord! Teach me Your statutes. ¹³ With my lips I have declared All the judgments of Your mouth. ¹⁴ I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches.n¹⁵ I will meditate on Your precepts, And ^[b]contemplate Your ways. ¹⁶ I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word. (Psalm 119:9-16.)

We are God's offspring and if we must command the results of God on the earth, it is required that we hate what GOD hates. God hates lies and will not inhabit a liar. Let's love righteousness, that's God's divine high way that's set before us, let's work in it to win the love of our GOD.

The Bible speaking concerning Jesus says, "He loves righteousness above his fellow, so GOD has given him a name"

Jesus doesn’t only love righteousness and hates lies because lies are bad; He knows that in God's character; He has great hatred for lies. Lies apart from being sin, it is the living nature of the Devil.

When Jesus was speaking about the Devil, He said, anytime the Devil chooses to lie, he does so like when a man or woman is speaking his native language; the language of his birth.

Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. ⁴³ Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. ⁴⁴ You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. ⁴⁵ But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. ⁴⁶ Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? ⁴⁷ He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore, you do not hear, because you are not of God.” (John 8:42-47.)

We are familiar with such an ease that we feel anytime we desire to speak the language that we are born into or are raised with; we feel no struggle at all. We are not even careful with grammatical accuracy. No, we just open our month and before we know it, we find out that sometimes, we might have spoken what or things that we are not willing to even say.

Friends, that's what the Devil feels too when he lies, he is a father of it and loves it. I know just like I do, you hate to be called a child of the Devil. But to some degree, it seems people only hate the name, “Child of the Devil,” but in reality, do we also hate his characters, and say to ourselves, I hate to behave like the Devil — I hate lies? I am not talking about you disliking being lied to, but you developing a hatred for lying to others because you know GOD hates it, and you don't want to be called a child of the Devil.

In the opinion of men, it is earthly possible to rate a liar who is rich like we see in the political class today. It has become easy for politicians to keep coming back to lie to the people every four years internally, the world may not see anything wrong with it, but it is not so with God's rate of things. On the scale of GOD, a liar weighs rejection; he or she is never approved by GOD and God has no delight in him except if he or she repents and forsakes his evil ways.

The Holy Spirit admonishes us in Colossians chapter 3 from verses 9 to 10, the Bible says, " Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, ¹⁰ and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him.”

One thing that is right for us to do is to continue renewing our minds daily with the truth, the Word of GOD. When we refuse to hate the wrong: the character of the Devil or the old life we were enjoining before we became born again, it is good we know that such character is not sourced in GOD. The Bible says, "God is not a man that He should lie." But that does not mean that it is righteousness for man to lie. It is the inconsistency of man with his true nature that he has in GOD that makes him team up with the Devil to lie.

To overcome lies, it is required we know whose children we are, we are no longer children of the FLESH; of the will of man, but we have been born unto GOD through Christ Jesus for righteous living in Him — living in the right relationship with GOD. Living a life of falsehood will cost us our position, and true identity in God. But when we yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit to learn of Him, it because easier for us to imitate Christ's life regardless of the time and what is available in the world. The world has no phobia for lies because the world is under the influence of the Devil, but we are of a new breed, new creation life, we can't live like the world, we can't behave like them, we can't copy them. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead your life, and be ready to speak the truth at all times.
