Grace is the gift of God to man; it is also a divine enablement we receive to function (anointing to function). 1 Corinthians 15:10 says “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than them all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” Our Lord Jesus Christ grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him. From here, we can see that grace is always for a function.
Also, in Matthew 14:14-21, the Bible says:
“14 And when Jesus went out, He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick. 15 When it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, “This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food.” 16 But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” 17 And they said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.” 18 He said, “Bring them here to Me.” 19 Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes. 20 So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. 21 Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
Jesus Christ went to a deserted place and the multitudes followed Him and Jesus ministered to them by preaching God’s word, healing the sick, delivering the oppressed and depressed. Afterwards, He saw a need to feed the multitudes but what was available were five (5) loaves and two (2) fish; and He told His disciples to bring to Him what was available. Humanly speaking, the disciples were confused about what the available will produce amongst so many, “five loaves and two fish” but Jesus Christ who knew the grace at work in Him, that whatsoever He ask of the Father, He will do it. Thank God for the prompt obedience of the disciples, they gave Him what was available and the Lord Jesus blessed and gave thanks towards what was available i.e., the five loaves and two fish.
I believe it was the grace upon His life that brought about the multiplication of the five loaves of bread and two fish. This is what the gift of grace can make happen for anyone who walks in the reality of it. There is something that got me thinking, I realized that after Christ gave thanks, what was still in His hands were the five loaves and two fish; it was until He gave them to His disciples and when the disciples began to share to the people that multiplication, increase and abundance began to take place. Now, the implication of this is that sometimes we tend to be afraid simply because we think we are not adequate enough or have what it takes to launch out. But with prompt obedience as we saw in the case of the disciples, the grace of God would make every other thing fall in place.
You would realize from that account that after Jesus gave thanks, it was still the same five loaves and two fish in His hands; but in the Spirit realm He had seen multiplication, more and more increase of the food; even when He gave the disciples it was still same, change came as soon as the disciples launched out to put the word that has been made manifest in the Spirit realm to work; and then multiplication, increase and abundance set in. The grace of God may not be operational in our lives until we are prompt in the place of obedience. Thank God the disciples believed in their Master Jesus Christ, if they were unbelieving, there wouldn’t have been multiplication because when Christ gave them to share the five loaves and two fish to the multitudes, they would have naturally said to themselves that they cannot start sharing what would not go round.
A number of things could have ensued as a result: the people can get up and beat them up because there is a saying that a hungry man is an angry man; but thank God that was not the case for them, they believe in Christ, they trust and had faith in Him. They thought in themselves; as long as it is Christ, we will launch out and they did and increase began and multitudes ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. What you need to launch out in your life, destiny, purpose fulfilment, business, ministry, et cetera is grace, and it has been given to you in abundance. The Bible says in Romans 5:17: “For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)”
So, we can see from that passage that we have received abundance of grace to do everything that God would have us do in life and destiny. Sometimes the devil would want us to be afraid. Sometimes he makes us feel like we are not adequate enough. But know this as a child of God that you have all it takes already to be all that God has destined you to be. What you need in life is not money, what you need is grace. What you need in life is not connection, what you need is grace. What you need to be all that God wants you to be is not “long leg”, what you need is grace. And the Bible made us to understand that that grace has been given to us abundantly.
As you launch forth into your destiny, know this for sure that you are not disadvantaged. You should have an I can do it attitude. Philippians 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. You have all things that pertains to life and godliness to be the best in everything. Wake up every morning and say this to yourself: “I have all it takes to succeed” and you will see yourself succeeding in all that you lay your hands to do, in Jesus’ name, amen!
God bless you!
