When a king rules over a domain and plans to extend his territory or sphere of influence, he sends the prince or an heir to reign over the new territory. That is how it is with us. When God extended the kingdom of heaven to the earth, man was sent to take charge or assume control to tend and to keep it, that is why the Scripture says in Psalm 115:16, “The heaven even the heavens belongs to the Lord and the earth He has given to the children of men.”
So, while the King sits on the throne in His kingdom, He exerts influence on other kingdoms through those whom He has chosen to be the custodians of those territories and bring back report to the King about how well the territory was managed. At this point, faithfulness is accessed. This is what Jesus was referring to when He spoke a parable saying: “The Kingdom of God is like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property”
So, man is an overseer of territories, and then talents and gifts are given to him as tools in order to effectively take care of the earth till the greater King returns to make demands for accounts. Now this is the reason for this illustration, if a territory is broken and needs to be fixed, God sends an envoy from the greater kingdom to solve that problem. But the envoy does not come looking all rich and powerful, He sends them as a seed. So, when they come, they may not look like it, they may be despised and ignored. So, growth becomes the process God uses to preserve those seeds.
The wisdom of God is hidden in a system called growth. And this growth is furnished by the supply of the word. The word begins to grow that seed, from the onset he may not look like an envoy but as time unfolds, he become a mighty tree. But the enemy does not relax since this seed carry in itself a kind of capacity the enemy may want to snatch it away or destroy the seed. The Bible says in Matthew 13:25; “while men slept” while fathers slept, the enemy may come. This is why neither the father nor the seed must neither sleep nor slumber. God does not sleep; His eyes watches us continually day and night, an attribute that we must emulate. Some damage has been done to certain seeds because the fathers are slumbering in many ways. When I say sleep here, I am talking about responsibilities.
So, the seeds given to the father to preserve and groom will be hunted by the enemy to sow tares and their primary purpose is to snatch it away and abort the mission. So, God devised a means to hide these seeds until they become strong, manifesting the grace of God and carrying out the assignment they have been sent to do. So, how does God the father preserve these seeds? Today we would be looking at how God, the perfect Father, preserves His seed, His kings on the earth, and we would be looking at others in the subsequent episodes.
DISGUISE
Disguise is one of the preservation techniques that God uses to preserve His seeds on the earth. Who would ever have thought that the greatest king that will ever walk on the face of the earth will be born in a manger in a small city of Bethlehem? So, when you look all through Scriptures, you will discover that God is a disguise and a coding specialist, and these seeds that come in a coded form of disguise are hidden in Gods wisdom. That was why when it was time to read the handwriting on the wall in the book of Daniel 5 from verse 13 downwards, they needed a kingdom citizen, a representative of the king who is taking care of a territory on behalf of God to interpret the handwriting.
Why? Because the writing is not meant for the kings of this world, it was coded but easily understood by seed who understood the language of the other territory. Let me give us an example, Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 1:8 that “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” So, the power of God to save is hidden and disguised in the message of the cross, but if you are not wise you may ignore and perish. 1 Corinthians 1:23 says; “but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles” Did you see that? The message of Christ; to the Jews it is a stumbling block, to the Gentiles it is foolishness, but that is the power of God in disguise. God in His infinite wisdom sends them in a form of disguise, and only those who are spiritual would be able to discern them.
Just as the kingdom of heaven are aware of the presence of the king on the earth, the kingdom of darkness is also aware. In Matthew 2 from verse 1, the Scripture recorded that: “there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2 Saying, where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.” The first question we must ask ourselves is this; can a man possibly see a star in the sky and immediately know that a king is born? What do you call people who study the celestial bodies? People who study astral cycle? We could call them astrologers, soothsayers or maybe diviners. So, it is certain that it wasn’t the Holy Spirit that told them, neither was it an angel. Men may see your star but they may never understand the rout which God will take you through.
But Bible acknowledged that they were wise men. So even in their wisdom they paid homage the little King. Now this is the disguise I am talking about; these men were wise enough to know that a king is born but they never knew what kind of king He was; so, the star they studied and followed brought them at first to the palace of Herod and not the manger of Jesus. See what verse 6 of Matthew 2 says; “‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’” Bethlehem may be the smallest and the least in the land of Judah, but out of it shall come a great ruler. You may be looking small now but you shall neither be called the least because your greater end shall greatly increase, why because what God has hidden and deposited inside of you has the capacity to draw kings and nations from as far as the east to pay homage.
This is where the wisdom of man is limited, the Bible said king Herod was worried, the wise men, including Herod knew the king was born but they were not aware of the kind of king he was. The Scribes knew by the Scriptures where the King is to be born but they were never aware that the time is upon them. Yes! he was a king but he had his own mission, He didn’t come to contest a throne with Herod, He had his own crown, and the throne of His father David is secured and preserved for Him to sit upon. If they had known that He was not contesting the throne with them, I am sure they wouldn’t have sought after His life. Each and every man has His own glory and allotment in the kingdom to rule and to reign.
This is something amazing and intriguing; This is the wisdom of God, that no man can ever decipher. This is how God conceals great gifts in little packages; the Scripture says in 2 Corinthians 4:7; But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. This Scripture emphasized the fact that man was made of clay, but even though he was of the dust, there is an abundance hidden in him by God. It is the glory of God to conceal a matter and the glory of kings to search it out. The rulership and dominion of kings on the earth is hidden in the fact that the kings are constantly searching out matters as they grow. That is why Jesus said if you seek you shall find, it has been hidden so that you can seek for it and if only you can seek then you will find. And your finding puts you in authority.
Have you wondered why the psalmist said “What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour?” If you have loved child somewhere who carries out your assignment will you not visit him? If you are doing something important for the kingdom, one of the benefits is that you will enjoy communication and visitation from the King.
So, the Psalmist said man was made a little bit lower than the angels. “a little bit” man is the only being that enjoys the full expression of God. If you want to know about the love of God, watch how He expresses it towards man, if you want to know the mercies of God watch how He expresses it towards man, His gentleness, kindness, joy, etc. Man is the primary beneficiary of the unlimited dimensions of God. While angels are spirit beings that stand in the presence of God, man is an earthen vessel that connect to the presence of God via the spirit. A heavy investment has gone into man, he is the image of God loaded with what eyes have not seen nor what ears have heard and it is the responsibility of the father to preserve such a seed.
Have you wondered why a Pharaoh, a man who enslaved the Israelites, was the same man that trained Moses the deliverer in his own palace? The seed was preserved under His nose and it never came to his notice or attention. Have you also wondered why Jesus was killed by the devil in his own foolishness? The Bible says; If they had known they wouldn’t have crucified the Lord of glory, have you wondered why a village called Nazareth could bring forth the messiah, a town that seemed as if nothing good could come out from? The Bible says God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise, and the base things of this world to confound the mighty.
It also says in Isaiah that, “He has no form or comeliness and there was nothing to be desired in Him, then it says; “But”, there is a “but” He shall sprinkle nations. Talking about the treasures and capacity hidden and locked up in Him. God said to Samuel man looks at the limitations but I look at the things I hide inside of a man. Man may look at the appearance of David but I know what I have put inside of him. The situations Eliab will run from David will run into it.
You may be seeing a shepherd boy but I Am seeing a giant killer, people may be seeing the weakness in you but what God sees is a man that his throne is established forever. Have you ever thought nothing good can ever come out of you? Do not be intimidated by your appearance but pay close attention to what you can offer. is not about the size; it is simply about your content. Qualification is not by size; it is a product of the heart of a well that springs up from the inside of every man. This is how God conceals greatness. If any father must ensure that there is a true manifestation of sons and daughters, much more than the physical attributes of that child should be put into consideration. The focus and attention must be given to develop the child’s abilities. Because that is what God does.
I believe you have been blessed!
