Daniel, one of the captives of Judah in Babylon, was an amazing character with true love towards God. He had an unbeatable record as far as man's love for his GOD is crucial among his contemporaries. Looking carefully into his life and the manner of his faith life that resulted in his sentence to be thrown into the den of lions, could make anyone ask, what exactly was Daniel thinking when he acted against the law of the king in Babylon, even if his life was not dear to him, what about his wife and children? (See Daniel 6:1—28.)
To love GOD is not just in the power of the lips, it is beyond the services of the lips; it is in the keeping of God's commandments.
In the words of Jesus, He said, "If you love Me, [d]keep My commandments” (John 14:15).
Do you love GOD, do you keep His commandments, or do you compromise the ones that stand against your interest, while you handpick the ones you don't have a problem with?
Loving GOD is not just in the ability to sing GOD or pray holy. Loving GOD is in the keeping of God's commandments regardless of the odds.
To Love GOD is not just in singing it, it is in doing the Word of GOD. The Bible says, "Let [allow] your light so shine before men [let the life of GOD in you] live God out for people to see around you, so they can through the fruits of your life, glorify our Father that is in heaven".
This is our responsibility in our lives. Anything we do outside this anywhere (at work, in business, at school...), we are not fulfilling our mandates. Allow your work life or business life speaks God to the people around you. Don’t wait to win a pulpit, turn your job opportunity, workshop, or business place into your pulpit to shine Jesus to men, the love of our Father.
Let your love for GOD be evident to your environment; love GOD by your lifestyle not just by the services of the lips.
Thanks for the gift of your time, John Ojoagbene!
