In this piece, we'll be considering the enabler of destinies. What I perceive strongly in my spirit is that the Holy Ghost wants to empower us, to enable us to do the work of Him that has called us. “The Enabler of Destinies. We're going to start our observation from the Book of Zechariah chapter 4, is a familiar Scripture to us. Zechariah chapter 4, we will read from verses 1 to 7:

 

Now the angel who talked with me came back and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep. ² And he said to me, “What do you see?” So, I said, “I am looking, and there is a lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it, and on the stand seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lamps. ³ Two olive trees are by it, one at the right of the bowl and the other at its left.” ⁴ So I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?”

 

It was this question that led to verse 6. What are these? What did he see? He said, “I am looking, and there is a lampstand”. This is what he saw. Zachariah saw a lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it. I want us to just picture what he saw. And he said, on the stand that he saw; he saw seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lamps. In verse 3, he said, he saw two olive trees by each, one to the right, and the other to the left. This is what he saw, but he did not understand what he saw.

 

Just like we have all come into the kingdom. And there is an experience of the kingdom that is supposed to be a reality in our lives. But even though we have come to the kingdom, and we are seeing the kingdom, we don't understand what we are seeing. So, Zechariah asked this question in verse 4b: “What are these my Lord,” these things I'm looking at? What are these? “Then the angel who talked with me answered and said, do you not know what these are?” So it was that question that led to verse 6.

 

“And I said, No, my Lord.” And He answered the question. So, the question of Zechariah was: what are these, my Lord? “So, He answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel.”

 

What you are looking at, what you are seeing is the Word of the Lord to Omolara. “‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts. ⁷ ‘Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel, you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”

 

In this piece, we are looking at the enabler of destinies. In that Book of Zechariah chapter 4, Zechariah had a vision. And in that vision, he was looking at a particular Lampstand, he said, “Made of solid gold”. And on the lampstand, he saw a bowl, then he saw seven pipes. And he now saw olive trees, one on the right; one on the left, feeding that particular lampstand. And he was looking at it, he did not understand what he was looking at.

 

Many of us are looking at our lives as a vision, you don't understand what you are looking at. You are looking at your destiny ahead of you, you don't understand what you are looking at. God has spoken concerning you. He has spoken concerning me, but many of us don't understand what He's saying to us. And that particular vision was made clear in verse 6 of Zechariah chapter 4. He said, “He answered me,” the answer to that vision is that what you are seeing is not by power, What you are seeing is not an enablement by might. What you are seeing is an enablement by the Spirit.

 

So, He answered and said, “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of Host”. “But by My Spirit,” What does this mean? How does this enable our destiny? If you go ahead in that chapter 4, you will see that after he said that, he said, ‘Who are you, O great mountain?

 

Before Zerubbabel, you shall become a plain!’ What will enable the destiny of Zerubbabel according to this Scripture? It will cause the mountain to become like a plane before him. He said to him that the Spirit we are talking about will cause him to bring forth with Capstone; with shouts grace, grace to it. And that's the focus of the Holy Spirit with us this day. The enabler of destinies.

 

Let's go to Exodus chapter 4, we're going to read two Scriptures in Exodus, Exodus chapter 4, we'll read verse 12, then we'll go to Exodus 31. Exodus chapter 4 and verse 12: “Now therefore, go,” this is God speaking to Moses, “I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say”. This is God speaking to Moses when he appeared to Moses, and He was sending him to Egypt, to go and declare before Pharaoh His will. He said, “Go, I will be with your mouth,” what is God saying to Moses? I will enable your mouth; God is not saying I will give you another mouth. He is not saying you will now be a monster; you will have two mouths, no. He said, “I will enable your mouth”. “I will be with your mouth and teach you what you must say.” Glory to God!

 

Let's see Exodus 31 as we begin to have more clarity on the enablers of destinies. Exodus chapter 31 verses 1 to 6. We want to read the story of Bezalel: “Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: ² “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah”. So don't be mistaken. God was so specific about the Bezalel He called so that you will not think is Bezalel the son of Joshua, or think is Bezalel the son of Uriah. No! He said, “I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah”.

 

 

The Yorubas will say, “God called him to the root”. I want us to pay attention to this because this Exodus chapter 31 verses 1 to 6 is where we'll be seeing how the Holy Spirit enables destinies.

 

And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, ⁴ to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, ⁵ in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship. ⁶ “And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you. Hallelujah!

 

Quickly let's look at how we are enabled for our destinies by the Holy Spirit. In Zechariah chapter 4 verses 6 to 7, it says, “It is not by power,” your destiny is not by power. The fulfilment of your destiny is not by might but by the enablement of the Spirit. When you are enabled by the Spirit, verse 7 now becomes a reality: “Who is that mountain before Zerubbabel?” No matter what God has called you to; no matter how big a mountain it is, God is saying that when you are enabled by the Holy Spirit, it will become plain. It will become as nothing. It will not be an issue. It will not be a problem. It will not be a matter.

 

So, how are our destinies enabled by the Holy Spirit?

#. When the Holy Spirit enables you, you are called a name by God. For your destiny to be enabled by the Holy Spirit, you must be called a name by God.

 

 

John chapter 14 verse 17. We saw from Exodus 31, God called Bezalel by name. God called Bezalel by name. John 14 verse 17: “The Spirit of Truth, who the world cannot receive because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him for He dwells with you, and will be in you”. What was Jesus saying here? The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, He said, “The world does not know Him”. The question often some believers can be confused about is how many billions of people are in the world. They are a lot, but how many people does God know by name? “Oh, what manner of love that the Father has bestowed upon us that we should be called the children of God.”

 

 

A responsible father will never forget the name of his children; necessity is not laid on him to remember the children of his neighbor, but his children, he knows and he calls them by name. For your destiny to be enabled by the Holy Spirit, God must call you by name. What does that mean? You must know Him and He must know you. That's the starting point. Jesus was saying in this John chapter 14, that the reason the world cannot receive Him is because they don't know Him. The enabler does not enable all destinies. He enables the destiny of those who know Him.

 

 

Let's read verse 17 of John chapter 14 again: ^“The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive,” cannot, when you see cannot, there is no way around it. The world cannot receive Him, why? Because it neither sees Him nor knows Him, but you, as a believer, confessing Jesus and believing in your heart, you know Him. “But you know Him, for He dwells with you, and will be in you”. If He is not in you, He cannot enable your destiny. If He is not known by you, He cannot enable your destiny.

 

 

Going back to Exodus 31, the story of Bezalel. God called Bezalel by name; did we see that? He called him by name. “See, I've called by name.” It's not a joke. I have called by name. All the disciples of Jesus; were called by name. when Paul had an encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus he was called by name. If you have a relationship with God, and He does not call you by name, you have not started. Does He know you? Do you know Him?

 

 

He said, “I have called by name Bezalel”. Has He called you by name? it is when He calls you by name that He can enable your destiny.

 

 

#. You are filled with the Holy Spirit in dimensions.

You are filled with the Holy Spirit. If you see, if you still go back to Exodus chapter 31, in verse 3, it says, “And I have filled him with the Spirit of God”. For your destiny to be enabled, you have to be filled with the Spirit of God. And see the dimensions of the filling. Because for everything God calls you to, there is a dimension of filling that is required for the assignment of your destiny.

 

 

When the Holy Spirit appears to me, the dimension of my filling is to the degree of the assignment that the Father has given to me. He said, “I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom,” see the dimension here: “in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,” these were the dimensions of Bezaleel. When the Spirit of God filled Bezalel, He filled him in the dimensions of wisdom, in the dimension of understanding, in the dimension of all manner of workmanship. Your destiny is enabled when the Holy Spirit fill you in the dimension that is required for your assignment.

 

 

I want us to see Job chapter 32 verse 8.  As believers we must understand this. God did not just drop us on the face of the earth to figure out how we are going to live and fulfill destiny. He has given us the enabler; He is called the helper. Another word for the helper is the enabler. Job chapter 32 verse 8: “But there is a spirit in man,” is there a spirit in you? “And the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding,” gives him wisdom; gives him knowledge; gives him grace in the dimensions that is required for his destiny. I want us to see a Scripture that will better bring this point home for us in 1^st Corinthians chapter 12 from verse 4 to 11. When we see the workings of the Holy Spirit, when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, is in the dimension of the assignment.

 

 

“There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit,” there are diversities of gifts, but the enabler of those gifts is the same spirit. “There are differences of ministries,” my ministry is different from yours, there are differences of ministries, but the same Lord, He is still the same enabler. “And they are diversities of activities,” our activities differ, but it is the same God who works all; all of these activities in all. Verse 7: “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one,” the manifestation of the Spirit, if you think, you are exempted, listen to this Scripture. God is not a man that will lie nor a son of man that will repent.

 

 

The manifestation of the Spirit just like it was given to Bezalel; given to Zerubbabel is also given to Joy. “The manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.”

 

 

For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, ⁹ to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by ^[f]the same Spirit, ¹⁰ to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. ¹¹ But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

 

 

That's the point, distributing into each one individually. In Exodus chapter 2, God said to Moses, “I will be with your mouth”.  No wonder the Bible recorded concerning Moses that he was a man that was great in speech. Why? He was enabled. Whatever God is asking you to do; whatever your destiny demands, there is a dimension in the Holy Spirit that can be deposited in you that will make you great at it. Guess what, the Holy Spirit does not deal with mediocrity. He is not a mediocre spirit; He is an excellent Spirit. I want us to pay attention to this verse 11: “But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills”.

 

 

Do you know why it is as He will? God is not a waster. He will not give you what you don't need. it is as He wills. He gives individually. What is required for your destiny is different from mine. He will give you the portion; the dimension that is needed for your own destiny. For Bezalel see the dimensions He gave him: in wisdom; in understanding; in knowledge; in all manner of workmanship. Somebody could ask, does the Holy Spirit enables artisans? Yes!

 

 

Yes, He enables artisans because God is the first artisan. The Bible says, “We are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus”. So, He is the first, yeah, He enables. Does God enable scientists? Yes. Does God enable business people? Yes. God enables his children for excellence because whatever He enables you to do, the glory in it goes to Him. God enabled Daniel in government. We could call Danielle in our contemporary time a civil servant or a politician. See the dimension, God enabled Daniel to become one of the magicians. God enabled Daniel as an astrologer. God can enable you to be an economist, a physicist. God can enable you to be a business tycoon. As long as it gives glory to his name. So, our destinies are enabled, when we are filled with the Holy Spirit in dimensions.

 

 

#. You are enabled by the Holy Spirit for good works. The Holy Spirit will enable your destiny, when it is geared towards good works. He empowers you for good works, we're going to see Ephesians chapter 2 and verse 10. The Holy Spirit is the enabler of destinies. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them”.

 

He prepared beforehand, when He prepared it, the Holy Spirit was there. So, the Holy Spirit knows what you need for that good work that God has prepared concerning your life and your destiny. So, when He's enabling you, He fills you with a dimension of himself that is required for that assignment. If Jesus was enabled by the Holy Spirit, how much more us. Let's see Isaiah chapter 61, see how the Holy Spirit enabled Jesus. Isaiah 61 from verse 1. We are looking at; you are enabled by the Holy Spirit to do good works. The enablement of the Holy Spirit is not for you to sit down in your sitting room and be watching TV.  It is for work.  The Jesus said,

 

 

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, the opening of prisons to those that are bound to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all whom mourn, to console those whom in Zion to give them beautiful for aches, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord that He  may be glorified.

 

 

That who may be glorify? God! Whatever you are called to do, God must be glorified; it is not for you to feel good. I am the most influential woman in the whole world, it is not for your aggrandizement. It is for his pleasure. It is for His glory. God will enable you when He knows that in your heart, you are willing; you have come in alignment with doing his will; doing good works.

 

 

Let's see Acts chapter 10, also about the story of Jesus. Acts chapter 10 verse 38. All that was prophesied concerning Jesus in Isaiah 61 let's see how it was reported in Acts chapter 10 and verse 38: “How God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth,” remember when we read Zechariah chapter 4. Zechariah saw a vision, he saw lamps, the 7 lamps is an expression of the 7 Spirits of God, and it is fueled by the olive, the anointing, that oil is not the Holy Spirit, that oil is a representative of what the Holy Spirit does. That lamp he saw was a lamp that was powering, enabling Zerubbabel and that lamp was powered by the golden oil that came from the olives that was on the right and on the left.

 

 

If you are a believer, a child of God, and your life is not powered by the Holy Spirit, you have missed it. You are struggling, what is the significance of oil? Oil is a lubricant. The Holy Spirit enables you by lubricating your destiny, lubricating your members. The Bible says, “If the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells within us,” it says, ‘that same Spirit will quicken [will enable, will lubricate] our mortal bodies”. God said to Moses, “I will be with your mouth”. The anointing of God upon us is God been with us; being within our members. That's why in the Old Testament for everything that the Levites will do, they must be anointed. Levites must be anointed. If we go back to the Book of psalm, the Bible says, “It is like the oil that come from the head of Aaron that flows down,” the anointing, the anointing is a symbol of the presence of the Holy Spirit that makes your destiny enabled.

 

 

So, for Zerubbabel in Zechariah chapter 4, the Bible was saying that Zerubbabel is not by muscle. It is not by connection; is not about who you know or who you don't know. It is not by the people that you live around them. It's not about your geography; it is by the Spirit of the Lord. And He testified concerning Jesus here, “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit”.

 

 

Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit. You can't do the works of Jesus and also not be anointed with the Holy Spirit. To do the works of Christ is to walk in the steps of Christ. He was anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about the dimension here with the Holy Spirit and with power, and He went about doing good and healing all those who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Is God with you? Do you desire that God be with you? The Bible says concerning Joseph, that He prospered in a land of slavery, why? God was with him. The anointed, is God with you? How do we know that we belong to the Lord? By the Holy Spirit that is in us.

 

 

The Bible says, “The Holy Spirit is the seal upon our lives until the day we are redeemed”. He is the signet of the King of kings upon our lives. He is the seal. Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit. Jesus did not fulfill his destiny until He was enabled. The Bible says that He went to Jordan, He said to John, “It is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness,” and he baptized Him. And when He arose out of that water, the Bible says that the heaven over Him was opened and the Holy Spirit descended and remained upon Him.

 

 

Our destinies require the Holy Spirit; our destinies need enablement. It is not by power; it is not by might; is not about running helter-skelter; is not about hustle.  Have you not seen people that are hustling, hustling, and hustling into the grave? It's not about hustle, you have not been called to live a life of hustling, you have been called to do the work of Him, not hustle the work, do the work; to do the work. And the way to do the work is to be enabled to do the work. See how Moses lived enabled, he will go and appeared before Pharaoh, God said, “Release my people”. And Pharaoh will be stiff-necked. And the Bible says, “God hardened his heart,” these plagues must be complete. And after he has done that, Moses will go back, no argument. No muscle, it is by the Spirit.

 

 

When God struck the land of Egypt, and they could not recover, pharaoh sent for Moses, “Go and call that man for me”. “Take your people and go.” It is not by power. It is not by might. When it was not time for Jesus to die, He did not die. The Bible says at some point, they were so angry with Him; they wanted to push Him over a cliff and He walked away in the midst of them. Were they blind? That's the life of a man that is enabled. In the enablement of the Spirit, you are preserved; in the enablement of the Spiri, you prosper. Jesus was never confused in His destiny, while fulfilling the work of the Father, He was never confused.

 

When you are enabled by the Holy Spirit, you will know what to do per time. The enablement of the Spirit makes you; you are not confused. As a believer you can't be confused, even though you're in a difficult situation. You can't be confused while the enabler is there. Hallelujah! He went about doing good. What have you been to do? Let's go back to Exodus chapter 31, see what Bezalel was called to do in Exodus 31. You are enabled by the Holy Spirit to do work. If you are a believer and you are lazy, you don't understand the calling.

 

 

Let's go to verse 4, this anointing, these dimensions of wisdom, understanding, knowledge and all manner of workmanship, is to work. And let's see the work of Bezalel: “To design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, ⁵ in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship”. God does not enable you for nothing. He enables you to work, so you must find the work. You must trust Him to show you the work and to speak to you concerning the work that He has released that dimension of the Holy Spirit in your life. What frustrates many believers is because there is an enablement, but there is nothing to do. In the true sense, there's something to do, you have not seen it.

 

 

If we go back to Zechariah chapter 4 and verse 6, it says, “It is not by power, it is not by might, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of Host. Who are thou mountain”. So, Zerubbabel’s assignment was to make plain a mountain. “Who are thou mountain before Zerubbabel”. What is the mountain God has given you? What is the mountain you must become plain. That is why the enablement is there.

 

The reason we don't see the dimensions that has been released by the Holy Spirit in our lives is because we are yet to discover and to take hold of the mountain that God has given to us. If Moses did not go to Pharaoh, he will not know that God has been with his mouth. If Bezalel did not go to start designing artistic work, he will not know that he has been graced for artistic work. So, if you don't go and do that work that God has given to you, you will not know that you have been enabled in several dimensions by the Holy Spirit.

 

 

Could it be as believers, we are on the wrong mountain? Could it be as believers, we have not taken hold of the mountain that God has given to us. We have been praying for things to become plain, but they are not coming plain because we're attached to the wrong mountain. The scripture in 1 Corinthians 12 says, “There are diversities of gifts, the same spirit, differences of ministries, the same Spirit, diversities of activities, same God.” What is your own activity? What is the activity that you must be doing? There is an enablement for activity.

 

 

There is enablement for ministry. There is enablement in gifts. What are you supposed to be doing? Are you doing it? What ministry are you supposed to be serving? Are you serving there? What gift are you supposed to bring to expression? Are you bringing it to expression? These are the questions that the Holy Spirit is asking us today. As believers, our destinies can only be enabled by the Holy Spirit. But we must give Him that free course in our lives.

 

We must do the work we must do the work. That's where we are anchoring this message on; you must do the work of Him that have sent you. Jesus did the work the anointing should. Do the work! The Bible says, “Be instant in season and out of season”. Some of us just want to be in season, in season and out of season, even though you don't feel like it. If God has called you to write, even though you don't feel like writing or you feel like writing, write, because it is in that writing that you are enabled.

 

If you are called to sing, sing, is in that singing you will know that you are anointed. If Jesus did not go about doing good, the anointing will not come to manifestation. You are called to preach and you are not preaching, and you are wondering if you are anointed, it is because you are not preaching, if you do that work, you will see that the anointing is there.

 

Believers, there is nothing we see on the eighth today, great in any dimension that is not powered by a spirit. Sometimes you think why worldly music are very popular, they are powered by a spirit.  Even though you as a believer when you're listening to it, you know is nonsense they are singing, but the spirit that is promoting it wants to promote that nonsense. But in the kingdom of God, God does not promote nonsense. God promotes good works. So do the good works and watch us the Lord enables it. Keep doing it. be instant in season and out of season.
