One of the amazing things I discovered about this particular experience the Israelites had with God among other dealings of God with them is that they were always sure about this same thing. When they sow their crops, they already knew how many days from the date of planting to the date of HARVEST. It was not guesswork for them, even if the surrounding nations were lamenting that due to poor rain or delay in early rain during a supposed planting season, harvest won't be, as usual, the Israelites were not moved, they knew what Jehovah had told them about the harvest week and it is not changing.
"...But these people have a defiant and rebellious heart; they have revolted and departed. They do not say in their heart, “Let us now fear the Lord our God, Who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season. He reserves for us the appointed weeks of the harvest.” Your iniquities have turned these things away, and your sins have withheld good from you." (Jeremiah 5:23-25 NKJV.)
But something cut them short of that amazing experience. The amazing experience was cut short, down, and taken away because of their appetite for sin, and disobedience. Israel Loved to bow to images like men's appetite for sex. Any time God had to complain about the children of Israel, it was always too bad. In one of the Lord's remarks concerning the deeds of the Israelites the Lord said, "They are wise to do evil, mighty in wrongdoing, but to do well they do not know: their minds are never on the right but the wrong". (Jeremiah 4:22.)
Their iniquities and choice of Lifestyle were the reason they were disconnected from the amazing wonders of the divine covenant of harvest.
Anything might be the reason that they had hurried from the place of obedience to a perpetual lifestyle of rebellion against the Lord. But in your case and mine could it be said of the Lord that we are consistent as regards divine obedience, or what's the matter that had dragged us too from profiting from the blessings the Lord had apportioned for us before the foundation of the world in His Son? Jesus left His all for us so that we could become partakers of our inheritance according to His divine Will and power that has begotten us in Him.
Sometimes we think God does not remember. We are tempted to think waiting won't pay us, of course, the timing of God, the design of the supernatural is not meant to compensate the flesh, God does not do anything in our lives to glorify the flesh, every divine intervention and timing in us is meant to Glorify God.
The same thing you are so much in a hurry to get, and it seems as if the delay could bother you so much, just like the children of Israel experienced in their divine relationship, God also is aware of the number of steps that is remaining for you to take before you are fully launched into your supernatural manifestation or breakthrough to destiny.
Before you were born, just like all the hairs on our heads are numbered; number one, two, three, four...the total steps we need to take before we are ushered into our manifestation, a season of manifestation to our generation has been numbered by the Lord. The day you took the footstep of a certain number He monitored it, and He always remembers the count from the previous and the next and the rest ahead of every one of us. GOD won't reduce it now either because we are in a hurry or under pressure, or because we have fasted and prayed; fasting and praying is to help us and keep us in Him till the day, an hour of our season.
If God were to open it for us to see, you will be surprised by millions of His children who have GIVEN to compromise, who looked back, gave up too soon, who turned either to the left or to the right while the rule of the journey is just to focus on Christ, looking just on Christ, “The Author of the original plan” but they look back and are gone and forsook the grace that should have been theirs.
Thanks for the gift of your time, John Ojoagbene!
