Sometimes, the pains in your heart complains to you and reminds you of who you used to be. You push yourself past your painful circumstances, but some nights you fall asleep with tears running down your face hiding from others because you had to be strong for so long. Let me remind you that God created you, imprinted His image in you and has Crown you with honor and glory, He care for you. 1 Peter 5:7 says: “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” So, from that verse, we can see that God is mindful of you!
The reality is that God is always with us. But we don't always recognize Him in our everyday lives, sometimes we think we see Him when we read the Bible or go to church, but we overlook His presence in the small details of our days. In your lonely moment, remind yourself that God is faithful and His love is everlasting. No person can fill your empty soul, only God can do that. The devil may also whisper in your ear telling you that, “you don’t matter, no one cares and that God doesn’t see you,” but he is a liar! We have seen from the word of God that He cares for us.
In Jeremiah 1:4-5, the Bible says: “Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: Vs 5 '' Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before You were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”' Nothing should make you feel that God is not aware of what is happening to you. Here we saw how God understands even the minutest details of our lives right from the womb. Our lives are not hidden before God, they are plainly opened to Him. HE sees everything. God whispers his love letter in your ears and reminds you to trust who He is. He is the God who showed the moon where to hide until evening, the one who made the walls fall with a shout. The God who turned the sea into a highway, the one who blanked the morning grass with bread from the heavenly storehouse, He is the God who heals the sick, raises the dead to life, and holds time in His mighty hands. That is the God that loves and cares for you!
Sometimes, the field you are standing on seems so vast and wide and your assignment in this season seems so long, you wonder how much longer you can keep going. But just know that the obstacles you have been encountering are making you stronger. There is a reason for everything happening around you and to you. When God wanted to create the fish, He spoke to the sea. When God wanted to create trees, He spoke to the earth. But when he wanted to create man, he turned to Himself. “Then God said, '' Let Us make man in our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth' (Genesis 1:26)
That alone makes us special and the truth is that we have someone who looks after us gives us the needed rest. God has shown His care for humans in several ways, He created our first parent only after He had created the world that was ready for them. The sun, moon and stars provided light for them, the plants were a food source, the climate was ideal for sustaining life. The Psalmist says: “what is man that you are mindful of him? Vs 5 For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and you have crowned him with glory and honor. Vs 6 You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands. You have put all things under his feet” (Psalm 8:4-6).
God did not write failure about you. God made you king on the earth. He made you a little lower than the angels, crowned you with glory and honor to have dominion over the earth. Romans 8:28 says: “And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.” So, God is intentional about you. He calls you His own and knows your name. He has made you new and whole again. He is God and He is love.
Things We Do That Makes Us Think God Is Not Mindful of Us
One of the reasons we assume God is not mindful of us is rooted in our lack of personal relationship with Him. When you don’t have time for fellowship with God and trust Him, to know Him will then become very difficult. It is more than just going to church or even reading your Bibles. Usually, it is always difficult to connect with God when we think He is not mindful of us. So, it all begins from having a personal relationship with Him. In James 4:8, the Bible says: “draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” The secret to knowing that God is mindful of us is in drawing near to Him in the place of relationship.
Lack of trust in God also is one thing that makes us assume God isn’t mindful of us. One thing we must realize is that trust is essential in our daily walk with God. The moment we start to think God cannot be trusted, then we are simply opening up ourselves to a number of vices of the devil; like unhappiness, fear of the devil, depression, adjustment disorder, anxiety and fear of abandonment. But in the place of trust in God, we receive assurances upon assurances that God is mindful of us. In Proverbs 3:5-6, the Bible says: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.” In the place of trusting God, we are assured of His total mindfulness and commitment to us.
Sometimes we even feel God isn’t mindful of us because He is not seeing what we are going through. But the truth is this: God sees everything that you are going through, but He does not want you to be fixated on them. Many of us romance our challenges to the point that we think God isn’t even there for us. But the truth is, God is concerned about everything about you. He sees the end from the beginning, His thoughts about you are good thoughts. In Jeremiah 29:11, God said to Jeremiah: “I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thought of peace and not of evil, to give you future and a hope.” The future you think is far away and that you cannot see, God sees it, God has been in it and He wants to guide you by Himself into that future. So, never assume that because of what you are going through right now, God isn’t mindful, no, He is mindful of you.
Whatsoever you are going through, just trust the process. Remember that’s probably how a clay feels in the hands of the potter being mixed with water, kneaded, pass through fire. But mind you the end result is beautiful, strong and useful. Trust the process. When you go through the fire hold on; do not grow weary of your current look. Wait for it! Look forward to your final look: Beautiful, strong and fit for His use. Most importantly, He is always with you, it may look like He isn’t. But He is always there. Remember in Isaiah 43:1-3, the Bible says:
“But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.
3 For I am the Lord your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I gave Egypt for your ransom,
Ethiopia and Seba in your place.”
Through the raging storms, the harsh deserts, the darkest tunnels, He is right there and He will never give you anything you cannot handle, He is the manufacturer, He knows what you are made of and He knows what you can go through and withstand. Finally, God is in the darkness as much as He is in the light, so, there is no darkness thick or deep enough that you can’t see God, you just have to look. God’s help is always nearer than the door.
I believe you have learnt something!
