If you fail to start well, you will fail to finish well. If the foundation is destroyed what can the righteous do? Don’t spend so much time and energy looking at your future and destiny with so much admiration and then put less effort in the process that is required to get you there. As a matter of fact, your glorious destiny can be seen by how you have started the journey. if you want to produce excellence in leadership in years to come; then how you start out, how you lay your foundation matters a lot.
If you intend to embark on a journey, especially if you intend to travel by air you must first get to an airport. You don’t just wish to be at your destination and then suddenly arrive there. It may be possible, but in matters of destiny there is only one way, no short cuts. If you must fly, if you must be a high flyer, there are conscious and deliberate measures that must be taken in order to get there safely. Having gotten to a station you must first buy a ticket by paying for it accordingly. It is quit unfortunate that a lot of us desire to attain that height, we want to fly in life or get to that desired destiny but we fail to pay the commensurate price or amount required to get us to that destination.
Having paid for the fair, you will also not be allowed to carry too much baggage. So, it means that the journey of destiny demands that you let go of irrelevant and unnecessary baggage that will hinder you from flying. If this principle is violated, then the traveler is not flying to safety but flying for a crash but in a matter of time. It is not enough to wish or to say I have a glorious destiny, are you willing to let go of your past, the habits, the addictions, are you willing to pay the price and shed off the excesses that may hinder you? Just as we have gravitational force, so also there are spiritual laws that hinder destinies from flying. Whenever you see an aircraft take off from the ground, such an air craft has defiled the law of gravity. Meaning that it is light, not carrying excess weight, so it flies with ease. The principles you will discover in this article will help you fly with ease regardless of the existence of the forces that would have been an excuse for others.
The existence of such a force is not in doubt, but there are principles you must walk with in order to be a high flyer. There are four questions that I would love to highlight to serve as checklist for you, even as you proceed with this read. These questions are the questions highflyers become conversant with and could answer them in a snap of a finger. The first question is; do you know who you are? Successful people are never clueless about their self-identity. They are very much aware of their purpose and their design by virtue of rigorous and intensive search for the truth about themselves. One of the truths that you must know about identity is that; it talks about a close similarity or affinity. The question is; do you know who you look like or whom you should pattern your life after? This leads us to the second question; do you know where you are coming from? Your life will never count for much if you are clueless and ignorant about where you are coming from. You are not a product of evolution; you didn’t come from monkey or from ape you are a direct son of God created intentionally to function purposefully on the earth. The third question is; do you know where you are? This is where a lot of us miss it.
This question talks about your geographical location; but you must understand it in this light. Jesus said you are in the world but not of the world. What does it mean? Does it mean that irrespective of your geographical location there is still a location that destiny is talking about? God asked Adam where are you? Was He really unaware of where Adam was? The scope and the boundary of your location must be to live in Him, breath in Him and have your being in Him. That is when God is aware of your location that is where your destiny can materialize. So, for many people God had been telling them go to a particular place and live, just like Abraham; depart from your Father’s house and they are finding it difficult to take a step away from what they love towards the place their destiny requires them to be; then flying high and souring like eagles may only be a matter of dream and fantasy.
The forth and the Last question I would love to ask is this; do you know what you have been given; how are you maximizing it? Bible says God put the man in the garden to tend and to keep it. Haven known your location, what has God given you to keep in that location? If you can discover it and maximize it, I assure you that the sky will be your starting point. Ignorance of what you have and failure to master what you have is what has made a lot of people conform to status quo. They impress rather than express and deploy the deposits and resources of heaven hidden inside of them. This is the reason why apostle Paul said do not be conformed to this world, because no one was created to conform but to transform. But how do you transform when you don’t put to use the tool and the resources at your disposal? To be a high flyer, you must deploy and put to use those graces, don’t bury them.
Haven been able to treat these questions, this is the part that shows you how to grow capacity for the task of destiny. There are certain steps that you must take in order to become a better version of his or herself ready to take on the challenges, the darkness and chaos that he was designed to address.
Subject yourself to the word of life and the curriculum of the kingdom, and consciously learn through. You don’t learn by being passive or by being judgmental or by being selective. You learn with an open mind by recognizing and knowing the one who speaks to you. Mentors will speak to you; the Holy Spirit will also speak to you. If you disdain or treat with levity the words they speak to you, then your destiny is at stake. Never treat their words with contempt else you will be jeopardizing your future. See what Apostle Peter said in John 6:68, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” people who are resolute and determined to be successful will always answer in this manner, they will choose to listen to words that are spirit and life, words that has the capacity to give eternal life. Highflyers are mindful of the words they subject their minds and ears to.
Do not know your teachers in the flesh and it is not every teacher you are required to listen to. Your spirit must agree and the Holy Spirit must instruct you to do so. Haven found a teacher, never become too familiar and casual with them, try to also connect to the source and secret of their knowledge. When Nicodemus came to Jesus He said teacher we know that you are a teacher sent from God. What is the conviction you have that your teacher is sent from God to you? That is the basis for the confidence you will have in their words. Your learning starts when you come to terms and fully convinced that you are not sitting under a man but sitting under a man who is under God.
Ask questions talk less and listen more. The Scripture says in Luke 2:46; “After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.” His intention was not to argue; nor create or steer dispute, it was to learn. The day you stop learning is the day you begin to die, so many believer refuse to learn, argue with instructions for learning yet they want to command and produce results. It doesn’t work that way. Knowledge is very vital because whether you will succeed or perish, it is a function of what you know. Knowledge is the step you need to have access to power and breakthrough. A man who is willing to learn is a man who takes a posture of humility and emptiness, he is a man who does not assume to know everything but open to receive and to stretch his mind. verse 51 says; “Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them.” You must be willing to Sit at the feet of Jesus the great teacher. Look very carefully at what Luke 10:42 says; “But one thing is needful, and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” Note what Jesus said; “a good part” it is just like two things were offered to someone, and he was asked to choose between the two. This was what Jesus was trying to say to Martha. I have set before you, life and death choose one. And Mary chose the good part. So sitting at the feet of Jesus is a good part that is more preferable than anything else? Then I choose that part I don’t know about you.
I have come to realize that in order to get to a glorious destiny and choosing the right part in life is not by being busy and being encumbered with many things; it is by sitting at His feet. This is the same wisdom that is being communicated in Isaiah 40:32, those who wait upon the Lord, those who sit with the Lord, there is no limit to what they can achieve. How strange buts its true!
