In the last episode of this series, we came to an understanding that every man is created with a Purpose and for a Purpose; and how it is not possible for a man who does not know his Purpose to fulfill the Purpose for which he has been created.

 

 

This means that the knowledge of your Purpose informs you about the agenda of God. And if a man does not know the agenda of God, he will find it difficult to fulfill either his Purpose or align with the agenda of God on the earth. We were also able to establish the fact that the knowledge of your Purpose is rooted or forms the basis for which Gods agenda will be fulfilled upon the face of the earth.

 

 

So, looking at the various dynamics of dominion, certain factors were highlighted in that article to bring to our attention and consciousness, that if the earth will be filled with the glory of the Lord as the waters covers the sea, you must know Jesus, you must become a love being, and you must become one with God’s dominion mandate. Although this article is a continuation from the last episode, but the aim is to bring us to a consciousness or understanding that; if we will fulfill the agenda of God on the earth, we cannot afford to be ignorant concerning the things we would discuss in this article. So, the first understanding we would be looking at in this discuss is;

 

 

#. Number One: Understanding that it is one thing to know your Purpose and it is another thing to know in whom your Purpose is sourced. This understanding and consciousness places emphasis on the clarity of Purpose. The understanding of Purpose is not complete until it is understood in the line of who Purpose is sourced in. Jesus said I can of myself do nothing. The reason is because His Purpose is sourced in God, and this is what informs the mystery of His oneness with the Father. He will say I and My Father are one. The reason is because His Purpose and the agenda of God are inseparable. If the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of God, then He ultimately has to carry the glory of God so that the glory can radiate for the world to see.

 

 

So, the understanding of who you are sourced in brings you to understanding of grace.  The Bible speaking about Jesus says; He is full of grace and truth. What grace will do for you is to generate the power of an endless life from within you. The Bible says it is God that is at work in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. So, the glory that the world will see is a function of the source that powers that glory from within you. Bible says God is able to do exceedingly abundantly far above what we could ever think or imagine according to the power that is at work in us. It is grace that is at work in us to produce the glory that will cover the earth.

 

 

 Apostle Paul at a point said I am what I am by the grace of God, in another place he said I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. Purpose and God’s agenda cannot be complete when it is devoid of grace. So, if you must fulfill the agenda of God on the earth, if the earth will be filled with the knowledge of God as the waters cover the sea, you must be sourced in grace, you must be connected to grace. What grace will do for you is that you will labor with ease, you labor from the place of rest. Apostle Paul said I labor more than they all, yet not I. So, it was grace that was working through him for the pleasure of God. It was on this note Jesus said I am the vine and you are the branches. Source is key; and this is one of the ingredients that make for the clarity of Purpose.

 

 

In order to understand Purpose and source I came to realize something from the statement God made in Genesis 1 verse 26, the Bible says; “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion”. It says; “Then God said let us make man" This leaves us with no iota of doubt that number one; man was not just created by God, man proceeded from God. But before that man existed in the realms of Gods thoughts and imaginations. Number two; Because man came from God, man is god. Going back to this verse, it says “then God said”. You may want to ask; what did God say? And why did He say what He said? The word said is a past participle of ‘say’ used to refer to someone or something already mentioned or named. This also talks about the spoken word. Meaning that at the time God declared this intention, man was already existing in God. The Purpose of man had already been planned, crafted, finished or completed. So, when God spoke this word man was already created or crafted in Christ for good works.

 

 

This is gives me an insight as to how powerful Gods words could be. And if man could emulate same His words would be powerful as well. Because man existed in God in the realm of God’s thoughts, man was already existing. This is the reason why when words are spoken from the realm of God’s thought which are made possible by faith and available to us by inspirations are powerful.   

 

 

A similar picture was being painted when God spoke to Jeremiah, He said; “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, (God said let us make man.) This is the realm of knowing a man before the man is known. This possibility exist only in God. So, God said before you were born, I knew you, I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5) Appointment, separation, setting apart and the knowledge of a man exists in God and was completed in God. Having had this understanding; what baffled and amazed me the more was the word “make man”. This talks about process. So, it takes ‘make’ to align the earth man to look like the heavenly man i.e. the kind of man in the thoughts of God.

 

 

So, Jeremiah was made, formed, fashioned, prepared, set apart or appointed to be a prophet. If Jeremiah was not a prophet, would he have been able to fulfill the agenda of God? He wouldn’t have been able to cover the earth with the knowledge of the glory of God. This is why it is important to know your Purpose, know where we are from and from who we came.

 

 

This means that before Adam was formed, God knew him.  I want us to note something here; God had been speaking before now, He had been creating; the name of what He wanted to exist would be called and then it appears. But none of the things that appeared needed a making. The words He spoke where words of command, words that frame and shape; words that create, words that call out things that be not and they will appear as though they were. He would say; “Let there be and there was”. They were not words communicating distinct intention and Purpose. And this further gives us an insight into two realms of God.

 

 

We understood from the beginning that God created the heavens and the earth. The visible and the invisible realm. So, in the realms of God which is the invisible realm there is an agenda, a plan to be executed or carried out on the face of the earth, and there is a man that exist also in the thoughts of God to carry out that agenda. Which is the realm of creativity, imaginations and thoughts. But for there to be a transition and physical formation of that agenda, God makes a man and puts that agenda in the man. So, when God makes the man, He is making the man that will bring that agenda to reality even though the man and the agenda both began to exist in the thoughts of God.

 

 

So, a word is sent and that word becomes flesh. It is the word that brings the idea of God into visible manifestation. This is where the word and the Spirit are engaged. So, the God head said to the Son and to the Spirit, “Let Us make man”. 

 

 

The Son which is the word was responsible for the formation of man. i.e., Becoming flesh but having become flesh, having appeared or having proceeded from God, having being born, having become a prophet, the Holy Spirit is responsible for communicating the mind of God to the prophet, to the one who has come to the earth to carry out God’s Purposes and counsel. So, it is not enough to proceed from God or to be formed by the word, it is necessary that you stay connected to the Spirit for the mind, the thoughts of God to be transmitted to you.

 

 

This is how to fulfill the agenda of God on the earth. Jesus read the prophecy of Isaiah, He said; “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed Me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.” [See Luke 4:18.] So, the reason why we will be able to fulfill the agenda of God on the earth is because the Spirit of the Lord is upon us. He is an indispensable factor in the equation.

 

 

I came to realize that there is a dimension of the word that calls forth things that be not, and there is also the dimension of the word that actually know what God needs to make out of us and to what end He wants to make us. These two are encapsulated in the verse we read in Genesis 1 verse 26. So, the word of God calls forth what has been imagined or created in the realms of God.

 

 

So, the intention of God for speaking at this point was that having created man then He will convey an intention-a Purpose to the Son—the word, and the Holy Spirit.  It is the completion of this circle that gives man dominion and makes him fulfill Purpose or cover the earth with the knowledge of the glory of God. So, even though the ultimate aim of God is to give man dominion, or to have him diffuse the fragrance of the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, until the man begins to cover the earth with the knowledge of His glory by staying connected to the word and the Spirit, the man will likely not be in dominion. Knowing your source is key to fulfilling Purpose.

 

 

#. Number Two: Have an Understanding of the realm from which you have come and why you have come. This talks about clarity of mission and clarity of message; The very Purpose for which you have been sent. Another word for clarity of mission is the clarity of the will of God. So, your activities, decisions and preoccupations passes a message as to who you are and what you have come to the earth to do.  Mark 4:43 says; “But He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this Purpose I have been sent”. Your understanding of where you came from, and from whom you came from gives you a consciousness of Gods agenda and why it must be fulfilled. What you do, how you do what you do is an off shoot or a function of your understanding of the mission. The reason why most people are not conscious of the agenda of God is because they simply don’t know where they came from, from who they came from and why they are on the earth at a given generation or dispensation.

 

 

The Bible says there was a man sent from God whose name was John; it says This man came for a witness, so His mission was to be a witness. The question is; to be a witness to what? It says to bear witness of the Light. [See John 1:6-8.] So, for one to bear witness to light, such a person must have seen light. So, he was sent to attest to what he has seen. And the reason why he was sent to bear that witness is so that all through him might believe.  The question is; how many of us are aware that we were sent from God for a witness, and for a testimony? What have we been shown that all through the testimony of what has been shown to us might believe? 

 

 

Jesus was always speaking from this consciousness; He said for this Purpose the son of man was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil. It was on this basis that He said My Meat is to do the work of He who “sent me” while it is day, in other words my pleasure is to be a witness for the one who has sent me, from the one whom I proceeded from; He said the night comes when no one can work. It requires urgency. He understood why He came to the earth. He acknowledged that He was sent. A sent one is one who delivers a message on behalf of the one who intends that the message be delivered. So, He knew He didn’t just appear on the earth to pass time. It was for a Purpose, for an agenda and that agenda must be fulfilled. In another place He said “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), ⁹ then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God. [See Heb 10:8-9]

It is impossible to fulfill the agenda of God if the will of God is not known. Because inherent in your mission is the will of the one who has sent you.

 

 

#. Number Three: Understand that fulfilling the agenda of God is dependent on who you are looking at. This talks about clarity of Vision. If you are interested in fulfilling the agenda of God, you only look at one personality and He is called Jesus. The Bible says looking unto Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith. The NIV says fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Without vision you will cast off restraints you will lose touch with the agenda of God. It is one thing to know that there is an assignment from God, it is one thing to know that you proceeded from God but it is another thing to fix your eyes on the one who has committed the assignment into your hands. What sustains your staying power on the agenda of God is your vision. And what makes the vision clearer and clearer is by looking unto Jesus. Bible describes Him as been the brightness of Gods glory. So, if you are seeing Him, you are seeing correctly.

 

The reason is because, we are products of what we see. And the degree to which we will fulfill Gods assignment is a function of how much we are beholding Him. According to Psalm 34 verse 5, the Bible says they looked to Him and their faces were radiant. This Scripture says ‘they looked unto Him’. So, the more you look at Him, the more you shine, and the more you shine the brighter the earth will become.

 

Peter was looking at the boisterous wind and he began to sink but when he was looking at Jesus he walked on water. The Bible says as we behold Him; Jesus! with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, we are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. Beholding Him makes go from strength to strength and by-so-doing, we are able to fulfill the agenda of the whom has sent us to be witnesses unto Him.

 

So, the clarity of Purpose, the clarity of mission and the clarity of vision  are what enables a man fulfill the agenda of God on the earth.
