HOW TO START LIVING FROM THE WORD OF GOD

Discover the Secrets to Start Living Indeed from the Word of God

Listen To Podcast: How To START Living From The Word of God

I want us to look at something that I believe is part and parcel of our lives and part and parcel of our destiny. We want to look at: How to Start Living from The Word of God. Now you may be wondering, am I not living up until now? Yes, you are living. But let's look at how we can start living, how you and I can live indeed, from the Word of God. And let's begin our observation from the book of Deuteronomy 8:1-3. There is something that I quickly want to show us that is going to help our understanding of what we're talking about in this article. The Bible says: “Every commandment which I command you today you must be careful to observe, that you may live and multiply…”

What makes us to live? It says we should pay careful attention to every commandment. So, when we pay careful attention to every commandment of God, it says we will live, we will not die. It says we will live and also multiply; we will not remain the same. So, if you want to ask yourself a simple question from here, what makes us multiply, what brings about multiplication to our life? The Bible says by paying careful attention to the word of God. Now, it reads further: “and go in and possess the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers. 2 And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness…” Now you may not be in the wilderness, this is in context, talking about the children of Israel. But you cannot deny the fact that up until this time of your life, the Lord has also led you, whether in the wilderness or in the cities of life.

It says the Lord has led you in these 40 years in the wilderness, number one, it says to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. 3 So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.” Another word for bread is food. Man shall not live by yam and egg and bread and tea alone. It says but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord. How do you live? It says you live by every word. No matter how small or long. Whether it is in a paragraph phrase, or it is in a sentence case. Whether it comes as a law or it comes as an instruction. It says man and don't forget you are a man. Whether you are a male man or you are a female man. It says man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.

Now let's look at this very briefly. You see, there are two categories of people that are living today. There is the first category of people, they are people who are alive but they are not living. Now, how many of us knows that it is possible to be alive and not live. Now look at this example, a madman, so to say is alive. But can a madman tell himself or herself that he or she is living? No, because everything that makes for his expression of life, so to say, has been taken away from him. In other words, he is alive, but his mind is not intact. So, there are categories of people in our world today that they are live physically, so to say they are alive, but they are not living. And the second category of people are those people who are living, they are alive, they are living. But the problem is that they are not living according to the word of God or they are not living in the purpose of God for their lives. Did we get that?

Now, if you look at the roots of those two categories of people, there is something that is missing. And what exactly is missing? It is the word of God. Whether a man is alive and not living, or whether a man is living but is not living according to the purpose of God, according to the dictates of God, the missing link is the word, and that is why we are looking at how to start living, in case you have not been living by the word of God, we want to look at how you can start living by the word of God. Now, whether you like it or not, the first thing that we must understand is that the word of God actually is the source of everything. The word of God is the source. The word of God is the origin of everything that we see today, including man.

Now, if you go back to Genesis chapter 1:26, let me quickly show us that Scripture before we proceed. The Bible says: “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Now, pause a bit and ask yourself, what is the raw material that make man? It is the word of God! Man began as an idea, as a thought in the mind of God. Are we getting what I'm saying? You actually began as a thought. In the Trinity God said let us make man. The moment God made that statement, you started existing in the realm of God. So, the word of God is the material, is the source of everything that we can see today, including man.

So, if somebody were to take you now and begin to tear you into pieces, maybe somebody wanted to experiment and say let me even look at what make this man, what is the composition of this man and somebody takes you, just picture it and begin to pieces you, not shred you so to say in that context of pieces, not shredding you, like analyzing you and the person begins to analyze you. You see at the bottom end of that analysis; they should be able to find the word of God. Let me use a physical example. When you when you take bread, physical bread, you know bread was made from flour right? And some other materials that were mixed together. When you begin to take the bread apart, let’s say you want to go back to the first principle of how that bread came to be. You see, at the bottom end of that bread, it will lead you to flour. Do you get that analogy?

When man begin to look at you and begin to analyze you, at the bottom end of that analytics or analysis, they should be able to locate the word of God because that is the raw material that made you. The Word of God is the raw material, is the resource that birthed us. And that is why it will be a mis normal if you don't live your life according to the word of God. It will be a total waste of time if this life that you have is not lived according to the word of God because the word of God made you. And whether you like it or not, it is what makes you that sustains you. And that's why that Deuteronomy 8:3 said, Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God, because this is how you were made. So, if you and I, for example, if we are not living our lives according to the word of God, even though we are physically alive, yet, we are not living. Because the word of God is our life. The word of God is the raw material that created us.

Now look at John chapter 1:1-3. Let's look at another thing about the word of God before we proceed. Look at what the Bible says: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. Now does that “all things” include you and I? It says, all things were made by the word. So, if you want to ask yourself, what exactly is the raw material that I'm made from? It is not first and foremost dust. You were not made from sexual reproduction between your father and your mother, that was the process that facilitated your coming. You were first and foremost made by the word of God. And that's why God said emphatically, man shall not live by bread alone. Now it is not as if bread is bad for living. As a matter of fact, when you don't eat, something's going to be wrong with you. Jesus said in Matthew chapter four that Man shall not live by bread alone.

As good as it is, it is not what sustains you, it is not food that sustains the life of God in you. What sustains the life of God in us is the word of God. And you will be cheating yourself, you will be shooting yourself in the legs if you don't give yourself to the word. And that is why it looks as if when we examine our lives, things are the way they are, so to say, we are not pleasing, we are not happy about certain things. The reason is because we have not given ourselves to the word. So, he said, all things, not some things, all things were made through Him. And without him nothing was made that was made. We have to understand that the word of God is the operation of God. How God relate with us. How God sustains us. How God establishes us, how God takes us from where we are into where we ought to be, is always by His Word. The word of God is the resource that God uses in making anything.

So, the question is, how do you start living by the word of God? How do we start living by this word, because this is where the challenge is. I know many of us have an understanding of what I've explained, but how. We know that the word of God is our life. But how do I live my life by the word? How do I subject my life to the word of God? How can I begin to walk in the realities of the Word of God? How can the word of God find expression in my life? That is the crossroads that many are today. All of us have Bibles, right, whether electronic Bible or a physical hardcopy Bible. But how many of us know how the operation of the Word of God in that our Bible can be to our advantage? I want to show us a few things that is going to help us to start living our lives by the word and from the word of God.

Now the first thing I want to show us is that you must be hungry for the word of God. If you are going to live your life by the word of God and from the word of God, the starting point is that you must be hungry. Many of us when we are hungry, what exactly do we do? We eat! When we are thirsty, what exactly do we do? We drink water! So, if you are going to live your life by the word of God, it begins from the place of hunger. How hungry are we for the Word of God? How desirous are we towards the word of God? Do we have desire in the Word of God? David said, I am always glad I rejoice anytime they say we should go to the house of God, they are not going there to party, they are going there to hear the word of God. How desirous are we for the word of God? How many of us wants to live our lives by the word of God? It begins from the place of hunger. Now there is something I also discover about God. You see, God, usually send His word towards the direction of anyone who is hungry for it. If you are truly hungry for the word of God, if you are truly desirous of the word of God, God will find every means and every opportunity to get that word across to you. You don't believe me? Acts 8:26-40. God is always desirous to send his word to anyone who is hungry for His word. Many times, the reason why you don't get the word of God as you ought to get it is because we are not hungry. Now the Bible says:

“Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is desert. 27 So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, 28 was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet. 29 Then the Spirit said to Philip…”

Now look at what the man was doing. God told Philip go towards the desert, the road that leads from Jerusalem to Gaza because there was a man that was hungry for the word. And God did everything to make sure that Philip got to him. Are we seeing the story? The man was hungry. The Bible says he was reading the book of Isaiah. And then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.” 30 So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” Understanding from the word of God, living by the word of God, start from the place of you reading it. If God is going to send help to you as regarding understanding his word, then you must have taken the first step of reading.

You know, many of us don't like to read the Bible because we believe the Bible is a storybook. Yes, the Bible talks about the story of a people and they're not just ordinary people. They are the story of the people of God. So, the more you immerse yourself in that story, the more you understand the principles of God and how God relates with mankind. Many times, when we carry our Bible, we are so quickly and easily to drop it, because we feel what exactly is it that is talking about? You see, when you keep at it, understanding will come to you. If the man was not reading the book of Isaiah, maybe God would not have sent Philip to him, the man was hungry.

And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him. 32 The place in the Scripture which he read was this:

“He was led as a sheep to the slaughter;
And as a lamb before its shearer is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.
33 In His humiliation His justice was taken away,
And who will declare His generation?
For His life is taken from the earth.”

34 So the eunuch answered Philip and said, “I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?” 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him.

How can you begin to live your life from the word of God? It is by being hungry for the word of God. You must be hungry. Just as you picture it when you are hungry and you go for food, when you are hungry for the word of God, you go for it. You know, many times, when you look at this saying that if you want to hide anything from an African man, they said, put it in black and white. Because they believe that Africans don't read. Sometimes that is how it is with Christians. How can your life be sourced from God and you don't read the manual? You don't read the book that shows you how you can live that life? So many times, we complain, sometimes we even get angry at God; God, are you not seeing me? God, are you not seeing what I'm going through? No! God is looking at you from heaven and he's smiling, that I am seeing you. But the solution to what you are going through is in the word. Did we see that? So, how can we start living from the word of God? It is by being hungry. Jesus said, as many people that are hungry and thirsty, Jesus said they shall be filled. They will not be cast away. You can't be hungry for the word of God and God cast you away and say no, you don't need it. You will be filled.

Let me show us the second one. How do you start living by the word of God? Number two, learn to follow God's word and instructions. Learn to follow God's word and instructions even when the situation or circumstances shows otherwise. That is how you start living by the word. Learn to follow God's instructions. What are the things that God is telling you per time? You must cultivate the habit of following them whether it is convenient or it is not convenient. Sometimes the things of God look like foolishness. But that is where God hides His majesty. The Bible says God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. Whether the instructions of God look foolish or it does not look foolish, you must learn to follow it in every situation. What exactly has God said to you? What exactly is God saying to you? How many instructions of God have come to you and then you have set them apart, you have set them aside simply because they do not make sense.

Let me show us a story, Luke 5:1-11. Let us see what happen to Peter and Jesus. Learn to follow God's word and instructions even when the situation and circumstances show otherwise. The Bible says:

So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret, 2 and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. 3 Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. 4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon…”

Simon, the owner of the boat that Jesus just used as a platform to preach. Did we understand the story?

“Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”

Does that look like an instruction? Yes! Let down your net and get ready for a catch. But look at what Simon said to Him in verse five: 5But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing…” We have done business all night, and we did not catch anything, we did not make a single profit. And this is the situation of many of us when it comes to the instructions of God. Jesus said to Simon, launch down for a great catch. Simon said, Jesus, you are not a professional fisherman. We had remained on this water all through the night, and we did not catch anything. So, we began to reason out the word of God through our senses, through our logic. We first and foremost want to understand the basis for which God gives us instruction. And this is the reason why many of us don't carry out God's instruction. We want to understand the nitty gritty of the instruction. God says jump, you ask God; why do you want me to jump? God says go, but you say why do you want me to go? Give me reasons give me 10 reasons.

You know, many of us read psychological books and motivational books. 21 reasons why you should not stay where you are supposed to stay. And we are filled with all manner of reasons. We are filled with all manner of life's principles and those reasoning and principles usually negates the word of God. Jesus said, launch out for a great catch. Simon said, we have toiled all night and caught nothing. In other words, Simon was telling Jesus, there are no fishes in this water. That was exactly what he was saying. Like there is no fish, we have we have circumnavigated the whole water, there is no fish. But he said Nevertheless, he had the second thought at your word, I will let down the net. And when they had done this, when they had fully obeyed the instruction, not complaining, not calculating; they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.

Did we see that? They caught a great number, not just few. A great number of fish and their net was beginning to break, inside the same river that Peter said they had toiled al night and there were no fish. Did we see that? Why can't you and I just follow instruction? You know there is a saying when we were growing up. It says obey first and then complain. At least obey the instruction of God first and if it is not working, God knows that it is not working. If God led you on a path, and as a matter of fact, God cannot even lead you on a path that will not work. Because the Bible says God is an all-knowing God. He is omnipotent. He is omnipresent. God sees ahead. We are the ones that are trying so much to live a healthy life so that we can get up to 90 and 100. But God has seen far ahead of us, the future that you cannot see right now, God has seen it. The Bible says known to God are all His works from the foundation of the world. What you don't see, God has seen. And so, when God tells you do this, it is because He knows the outcome. You don't know the outcome but God knows the outcome. So, when Peter got those great fish, the Bible says their net broke. And in verse seven, the Bible says:

7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. 8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!” 9 For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken; 10 and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.” 11 So when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook all and followed Him.

Now, my emphasis in that place is instructions. Don't be too quick to throw away the instructions of God. Don't be too quick to tell yourself that this word of God to me is not for me. I don't need it. There is virtually no way you can succeed outside of the word of God. And that is the truth of the matter. You see, it will have been better for you if you have not come into God, if you have not come into Christ. You see the moment you submit your life to the Lordship of Christ Jesus; you have brought yourself under the leadership and rulership of Christ Jesus. There is no way you can survive outside of the word. There is no way your marriage can survive outside of the word of God. If you like read books, 21 laws that makes marriage works. How divorce is still on the high side if those books work? People still divorce every day. And there are 21 laws that makes marriage work. There were 51 laws that make couples live together forever. If we had those books, and don't be surprised some of those couples that are divorced, read some of those books, either when they were singles or in marriage. Some of them even wrote the books. So, if those laws work for them, how come they ended up divorce?

21 Irrefutable laws of doing business, and yet you don't break even, not to even talk of profit. So that shows you that there is something in your life that is not working. There is something that is meant to make your life work that you have not submitted your life to, and that is the word of God. The word of God the Bible says have been proven seven times in fire, there was no failure. The word of God has been tried. That's what it means. They've tried the word of God over and over again; it did not fail. So don't be too quick to say well, the instructions of God are not logical. The instructions of God are not meant for me, they are not meant for my marriage. They are not meant for my business; the moment you begin to do that you are cheating yourself.

Let's look at the third one. How do you start living by the word of God? We have examined two. Let me show us this third one I believe it is going to bless us. No matter how difficult or challenging life may be, let there be something in your life that is adding value to the kingdom of God. Did you get that statement? No matter how difficult life may be, or situation or circumstances of life may be to you, let there always be something in your life that adds value to the kingdom of God. Now you may be wondering what exactly does that mean? You see when your life add value to the kingdom of God, value is going to come from the kingdom of God to your life. It is a symbiotic relationship, give and take. The moment your life begins to add value to God, then God is going to add value to your life.

Now you may be wondering how exactly does this work? Look at this Scripture. Let's look at Acts chapter 10:1-6. We are going to read two powerful Scriptures in that place and then we are going to understand that. No matter how difficult or challenging life may be, let there be something in your life that is adding value to the kingdom of God. Let there be something in your life that flows unto God. Don't let your life just be like that. There must be something about you that is adding value to God. Acts chapter 10:1-6. You are going to understand what that statement means. The Bible says:

There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, 2 a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people... I want us to take note of that phrase, Cornelius did what? He gave alms, and prayed to God always. So, in the life of that man called Cornelius, there was a value that was going to God. There was something about his life that is giving value to the kingdom of God even though the man himself had yet to understand who God really is. He was giving alms generously to the people and the Bible says he feared God with all his household.

3 About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!” 4 And when he observed him, he was afraid, and said, “What is it, lord?” So, he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God. 5 Now send men to Joppa, and send for Simon whose surname is Peter. 6 He is lodging with Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea. He will tell you what you must do.”

How many things? His prayers and his alms. His alms talk about sacrificial giving. Even though Cornelius do not understand God so much, but he knew that there was a God in heaven. And the Bible says He prayed to Him always and give alms. Now, was Cornelius giving the alms to God directly? The Bible says he was giving alms generously to the people around and he was doing it in the name of God. So, from the life of Cornelius, there was a value addition to the kingdom and God couldn't let him go. What exactly did God do for Him? The Bible says God instituted… he was the only man that we read in the New Testament that God specially arranged his salvation. His salvation went to meet him at home. Home delivery kind of salvation. Why? There was a value that was going out from the life of that man. God couldn't afford to lose that man. His alms came up to God as a memorial.

No matter how difficult life is, don't let your life be just like that, not adding value, because you belong to a kingdom of value. So, you can’t say I'm a Christian, I'm a believer, I'm a child of God, and there is no value addition to the family that you belong. That is how to live by the word. Something must live you into the kingdom. It may be your service. It may be your talent, it may be your time, because many people may say, well, I don't have money as Cornelius. I'm not as rich as Cornelius. So, what can I give to God? There are many things you can give to God outside of money. Your sincere and undiluted worship is a value addition to the kingdom of God. The services that you render in the name of God is a value addition to the kingdom of God. Your prayers are value addition to the kingdom of God. But don't let your prayers be about you alone. Let your prayers be about the kingdom.

Don't just live 365 days, 366 days of your life on the face of the earth and there is nothing. When the heavens… Don't forget there are books in heaven. When the heaven begins to review the books, there is no value. There is no smoke that rises to heaven on your behalf. Nothing on the altar of sacrifice, nothing on the altar of giving, nothing on the altar of service; you just live life normally. You are not a normal person. Look at a counterpart of that Scripture. Luke 12. Let's look at another man and this is going to really, really shock you. Luke 12 from verse 16-21. Jesus told a parable in this place. The Bible says:

Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. 17 And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ 18 So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.”’ 20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ 21 “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

A foolish man is the man or the woman whose life does not have value to the kingdom of God. It is what the Bible says, Jesus was telling the parable. God called him fool. ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ 21 “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” There is no gainsaying about it. If you are not adding value to the kingdom of God, you are not living by the word of God. And do you know what the Scripture says? It says, your life is not reach toward God. Even though you are a rich man on the earth, it says your life is not rich toward God. How many rich men are on earth today, they have possessions, they have goods, they have everything. But in the record of the kingdom, there is no value addition.

Cornelius was not like this other man. He was a soldier. He was a captain. He was rich toward God. The rich fool was rich, but it was about himself alone. He says, my soul, my soul will now rejoice, my soul will now relax, my soul will now begin to enjoy everything that my hands have worked for. God said to him, you are a foolish man. For God to call somebody foolish, it means the person is indeed foolish. Why? There is no value. Don’t let your life go without adding value to the kingdom of God. You belong to a kingdom of value. There must be something that is coming from your life that must be a value addition to the kingdom.

Let me show us this point. And then maybe we'll begin to round up. You see, if you are going to live by the word, it is important that you learn how to manage frustration. If you are going to live by the word of God, it is important that you learn how to manage frustrations. Now, do you know what frustrations are? You see frustrations are nothing other than the orchestration of the devil to make the word of God, impracticable or not working for you. And I'm going to explain it. When you look at the many frustrations that you go through in life as a child of God, as somebody that the word of God has created, they are orchestrations of the devil. And what exactly is that orchestration meant to do? It is meant to make the word of God not work. So, when you look at your life, and you say, why is my life so full of frustrations? Am I the only one on the face of the earth? Am I the only one that things are not working for? No, there is something that is planning to render the word of God unworkable.

Because as much as you understand the word of God, it is important that you know that certain things we come to test the word of God. And one of those things is or are frustrations. If you don't manage those frustrations of life, they will kill the word of God. Now look at Matthew chapter 13. I'm not the one that said it. Let me show us that Scripture so that we can learn to manage frustrations in life because they are there to do something negative to the word of God. Matthew chapter 13:3-9. It is the parable of the Sower. The Bible says:

Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4 And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. 5 Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. 6 But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. 8 But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. 9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Now if you stop from this verse three to nine, you may not understand what the parable is talking about. Where then does frustration come in? Jump to verse 18. Let's read from verse 18-23. This is the explanation of the parable has given by Jesus.

“Therefore, hear the parable of the sower: 19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart This is he who received seed by the wayside… This is the very first thing that makes the word of God not to work for you. A wicked one! The Bible says when men slept, you know, it says the enemy came and sow tears.

20 But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. 22 Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. 23 But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

The cares… in other words, you can you can replace it with the frustrations of this world. So, when you receive the word of God, frustration will come as a result of the word. And what exactly is that frustration coming to do? It is coming to make the word of God of non-effect. And this is why when you are going through certain frustrations or tribulations in life, the very first thing that you want to guard is the word of God in your heart. You want to guard that word, because the moment the devil can get that word out of your heart, you are going to abuse God, so to say. So, how do you manage frustrations? You are trying to do certain things, but they are not working? How do you manage frustrations? You manage frustrations by the word. Go to the word of God. You are trying to do business and it is not progressing, go to the word of God. There are principles of doing business in the word of God.

You know, the challenge we face many times is that we want to use the principles of this world to solve the problem of this world. We want to use the solutions of this world to solve the problems of this world. Ask yourself how many of those problems are being solved by the principles of this world? The world created problems. They also created solutions. You have applied the solutions that the world created for the problems that the world created. But yet, the problems remained. With all the principles of economics that we know, the economies of nations are not working. Are there not Professor of Economics? Why didn't they apply the laws of demand and supply to solve certain problems, yet the dollar is a nightmare. The principles of this world don’t solve the problems of this world. If the principles of this world solve the problems of this world, there will be peace in the world, there will not be war in the world, everyone will live better. What does that tell you? The principles of this world can’t solve the problems of this world, then there must be solution somewhere, the solution is in the word of God.

The word of God is superior. I pray that the Lord will help us. I want us to pray. You know, I believe it is just a good time for us to pray. I want us to pray and view ourselves viz-a-viz this word. What exactly has come into your heart about the word? How do you want to live your life from now henceforth with the word of God? This is a commitment that we must make. The word of God doesn't fail, the word of God works if you know how to work it. If you release yourself toward the principles of the word, many of us are not releasing ourselves to the principles of the word. And that is why the word of God is not working.

Your life cannot be better outside the word of God. What makes your life better is the word of God. What makes your marriage better is the word of God. What makes your living meaningful is the word of God. Can you go ahead and pray and say, Lord, I give myself to your word. I have seen that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from your mouth, by every instruction that proceeds from your mouth. Lord, I live by your word in the mighty name of Jesus. I live my life by the principles of your word by the dictate of your word. I raise my children by the principles of your word. I enjoy my marriage by the principles of your word go ahead and begin to make confessions of the word. We live our lives by your word, we choose your word over every situation. We choose your word over every frustration; we choose your word over every problem that life may want to bring our way; your word is what we choose. We choose your word over our health of our business of our families your word, your ward is our life.

Word of Confession: (Optional)

Lord Jesus, I confess to you that I have sinned against the LORD God - in the rebellion of my heart, I have disappointed your expectations on my life. I have fallen from Your grace and followed wrong influences around me. Today, I retrace my steps back to you - and I ask that in your mercy you accept me as your son and give to me (again) the promise of the Father - the Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus, please, come and make my heart your home, and from there rule in the affairs of all men. In Jesus Name I have prayed.
