It’s been an exciting journey on the Kingdom Curriculum; from last month we have been looking at the kingdom curriculum series, and we have been looking at the different layers of the curriculum, and we have looked at the first one, and last week we looked at The Word of Life. We saw that the word of life is so important. Apostle Paul said I hold fast to the word of life, I don’t joke with it, I don’t take it with levity, I hold fast so that haven run, I will not run in vain, haven labored, I will not labor in vain, so that I can lay hold of the things that are available for me in God. And today we are going to the fifth one, the second to the last layer of this kingdom curriculum the Holy Spirit has been taking us through.

 

We have looked at The Word of Righteousness, The Word of Faith, we have looked at The Word of His Grace, and we have looked at The Word of Life. Today we are looking at The Word of Truth. We are going to start our observation from 2Timothy 2:15, we will read several Scriptures, but we are going to start from here and see what the Lord is saying to us about the word of truth. It says; “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” What do you present to God diligently? A worker who does not need, who does not have shame as a consideration, who does not need to be ashamed, why? Because you have rightly divided, or you will rightly divide the word of truth.

 

So, what is the word of truth that is necessary for us to divide? What is the word of truth? Why is it so important? Why is it vital? John 17:17; the Bible says; Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. The only way they can be sanctified is by the truth, your word is the truth. So, we are not confused about the word of truth. The word of God is the word of truth. But how does this apply to us? Why is this important for us? How do we come about this? When we get to this layer in the kingdom curriculum, what is the importance of this to us?

 

“Your word is truth.” So, if we are going to define “your word”, your word is truth. Another synonym for the word is truth. It says sanctify them by your truth. Your word is truth. Then let’s go back to 2 Timothy 2:15, so that we can now understand what we are required to do. How do we approach the word of truth? We know the word is truth, we know what truth is; yesterday my daughter came back from Bible class and she was telling me what they were taught in the Bible class about truth. And I asked her: what’s the definition of truth? She said truth is anything that does not have a lie. And I said wonderful. It’s as simple as that. Because the opposite of truth is a lie. And the Bible says the devil is the Father of lies and all liars. So, God is the Father of truths. So, the words of the devil are all lies.

 

But the word of God is truth, but we are going to understand how this truth is important to us. If this truth is common placed, the Bible will not say to us in 2 Timothy 2:15 that we should rightly divide. That means if we can rightly divide, we can wrongly divide. He said be diligent to present; do the hard work, be diligent, because diligent talks about hard work, it talks about you paying attention. You giving it your all. Be diligent to present yourself approved unto God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed. So, all these are prefix. This is what you should do as a believer haven come by the word of righteousness, you have received the gift of righteousness in Christ Jesus, in the finished work of Christ. Jesus hung on the tree concerning you and I and He said it is finished.

All the works of the law, all the demands of the law, all the requirements that was held contrary to us is finished and has been nailed to the cross. So, when you come into Christ Jesus, come into the kingdom, you come first on the first layer which is the word if righteousness. What you do on the first layer is to receive Christ Jesus, the gift of Christ, everything that He did, His death, His burial, His resurrection. At that point you receive the gift of Jesus Christ, you don’t need to die, He has died. So, you receive that gift of righteousness, you are clothed with the garment of righteousness. So, when you appear before the throne of grace, you come in confidence. Why? You are not coming as you are; you are coming as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. That’s why the Bible says our life is hide in God in Christ Jesus, the life we appear in.

 

That’s why the Bible says I have been crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, I am a dead man but I am still living. The life that I live now I live by faith. Faith in the righteousness gift of Christ. “I live by faith in”, until all of us as believers understand our identity in Christ Jesus, we can’t move far. Because everything in this layer starts from that understanding. Until you understand that you are in Christ Jesus, the life you are living is in Christ Jesus, you can’t walk in faith, you can’t walk in His grace, you can’t walk in His life and you can’t connect with the truth. So, it’s a layering, it’s an experience that will not just jump on you, the Bible says if the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteousness do?

 

There are many people playing religion, they don’t understand their identity in Christ Jesus, because when you don’t understand who you are, you abuse yourself. And that’s what happens to many people in the church, we don’t understand our identity enough, so, the devil is abusing even though you are a member of the body. And that’s why I believe so strongly like the Scripture said that firstly those that will cry in heaven, even though there is not going to be tears, weeping and suffering in heaven but initially on that day of judgement, when God is going to play the life that you are supposed to live viz-a-viz the one you lived many people will cry. They made heaven not because they are going to hell, but they are seeing the truth versus the lies. The things they had believed is not possible and God has made available in His plan for them and they didn’t live it, they didn’t experience it.

 

It is one of the things that I so desire that the Holy Spirit will not allow me to pass through. Everyone that comes into Christ is living a life of a second chance. That’s why the Bible says everyone that is in Christ Jesus is a new creature, (second chance); old things are passed away, behold all things have become new.  It is not just a sermon to those people that have just become born again, we need to hear it. That’s why this kingdom curriculum is not about saying I have passed the stage of righteousness, now I am operating in the word of His power. That’s why the Bible says; He that thinks he stands, let him take heed or lest he falls. If you don’t continue to wire your way from the word of righteousness, there is a tendency even though you already understand the word of His power and you are operating in it, there is a tendency to fall from grace.

 

That’s a digression. “Be diligent to present yourself.” This is the heart beat of God. In 1 Thessalonians 4:3, the Bible says: “for this is the will of God, your sanctification.” And I kept meditating on that, what is the will of God? That you are set apart, that you come out from among them and be different, be separate. That’s the will of God. So, this Scripture in 2 Timothy 2:15 says; “be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker; [you are working the word.] Who does need to be ashamed; [why will the worker not be ashamed? As a believer, why will you not be ashamed? Because;] you are rightly dividing the word of truth.”

 

How do we rightly divide the word of truth? It is until we know the truth. The Bible says they that know the truth, the truth will make them free. He that the Son sets free, is free indeed. Combine those Scriptures together. He that the son sets free, who is the Son? Jesus Christ. The Bible says He is the fullness of grace and truth. So, He is truth. So, what is the word of truth about? It’s the word of Christ. So, to rightly divide the word of truth is to rightly divide Christ. What does it mean to rightly divide? It means to explore, to know in details. When you are dividing something, you want to lay hold. Don’t look at it in the sense of division, like you are separating. No! rightly diving means that you are dissecting, you are doing a surgical operation, you are trying to find out, you are exploring Christ. To rightly divide the word of truth is to explore Christ. And that’s why this layer is so important, this layer is the layer that makes for our sanctification.  How are you set apart? How are you different?

 

When they saw the Apostles in Antioch and they perceived that this were unlearned men, and they looked at them closely, they said these ones have been with Christ. What stood them out?  These were men that have righty divided. I love that present continuous tense in that place, you can’t exhaust it, that’s why it is continuous till the day of Christ, till the day you see Christ in glory you will be rightly dividing. He is inexhaustible, you will keep exploring Christ. That’s why the Apostles will say what can separate us from the love of Christ? The love of Christ is the love of truth, and they started talking about the depth, the height, that’s who much they explored. Rightly diving the word of truth is actually dividing Christ. How much of Christ have you encountered? Encountering Christ is encountering the word of truth. Sanctify them by your truth. Your word is truth.

 

We looked at that last week when Simon Peter said; to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. How can we ever discover the truth outside you? How can we ever connect with the truth outside you? You are the embodiment of truth. Outside Christ there is no truth anywhere. He is the truth. He that the Son sets free, is free indeed. The word of truth is the word of our liberty, the word of truth is the word of our freedom. You have freedom in the truth. You have liberty in the truth. Lies of the devil keeps the victims in bondage. When the devil speaks to people, he keeps them in captivity in bondage. I want us to see a Scripture in Isaiah 42:22, I want to just highlight something for us. “But this is a people robbed and plundered; All of them are ^[f]snared in holes, And they are hidden in prison houses; They are for prey, and no one delivers; For plunder, and no one says, “Restore!”

 

The state they are in is the lie of the devil, restoration is the truth. No matter what you are going through, the truth about your life, Jesus said I come in the volume of the books it is written. The truth about my life has been written, the truth about your life has been written. What has been written in the Scriptures are the truths about your life. anything outside these Scriptures is not profitable, so, it’s not the truth. That’s why in Mathew 4 when the devil came to Jesus, and he said if you are the son of God, turn this stone into bread and He looked at him and said what you just spoke now is a lie its falsehood, this is the truth; man must not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. That’s why the Bible makes us to understand that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers, against spiritual wickedness and host. And it made us to understand that when you are doing this warfare, it said you will war against thoughts. When these thoughts come what do you do?

 

You bring them into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Who is Christ? The truth! So, when lying thoughts are flying, how do you capture them? You bring them into captivity to the obedience of the truth. Any lie that the devil has played for so many years in your life, you have the responsibility. The Bible did not say that Christ will bring it into captivity, you will bring it into captivity. How do you bring it into captivity? By arming yourself with the word of truth. What truth does is that it ensnares and captures every lie. These things are spiritual, lie is spiritual and truth is a spiritual technology, for every lie to be countered, it’s not by wrestling, you are not wrestling against flesh and blood, you bring it to captivity.

 

If you go through the book of Revelations, recently the Holy Spirit is just opening me up to a lot of things, and I realized that in the realm of the spirit no power and authority can be exercised except that which has been given. Go and read it, nobody, no angel, no elder, no spirit can exercise anything in the realm of the Spirit that God had not given permission. I was reading a particular Scripture and it said and it was given to an angel. As power as the angel is, in fact the Bible says the angel put one leg on the sea, and one leg on the earth, to tell you how mighty the angel is, but that angel could not surface, could not speak until it was granted permission. Until we understand that truth in the realm of the Spirit is not what we are calling it. And that’s why we must understand and wake up as spirit beings.

 

The Bible says rightly dividing; you don’t divide it in the flesh. You divide it in the Spirit. When you are diving the truth, you don’t divide it in the flesh. Every truth written on the pages of the Scripture is bigger than what we see. So, you must rightly divide it. That’s why the Bible says before going there, be diligent. It takes diligence in the Spirit to sit down and meditate. That’s why before we started this word this morning, we said we need to pray for the portals of our Spirit to open. I love to read the Christian mirror of the deeper life and there’s a particular edition I was reading, they usually put cartoon graphics on their cover page, this particular edition had this graphics.

 

There was a man speaking and what they used to represent the words, the Scriptures, were bullets and they used Scriptures written on the bullets. As the man opened his mouth and was speaking the word, was releasing the word, bullets were going from his mouth into the air. And they showed that there were forces like poverty, like different issues of life that were just standing. And as the bullets were going out of the person’s mouth. I was just fascinated by it and I was just sitting on it and as the bullet were coming out, it was hitting on those things, paralyzing them, and I said that’s it. Poverty is a lie, sicknesses and diseases is a lie, the truth will paralyze any lie of the devil. Cancer is a lie; death is a lie. The truth of God’s word will paralyze any lie. That’s the word of truth, rightly dividing it is your responsibility. This is how we can diligently present ourselves approved unto God. when you come before God, God will say I gave you arsenals and you used them well. The Bible says put on the whole armor of God that you might be able to withstand whiles, the cunningness, the craftiness, the lies of the devil. And it said put on your waist the belt of truth.

 

Guard your waist, your waist is your mid-point, meaning that it should stabilize you. Truth must stabilize you. And it says hold the sword of the spirit which is the word of God, that you might be able to attack. If you go through the whole armor that was described in that Scripture you will see the entire curriculum. And it said put on the whole armor of God that you might be able to withstand. You need these things to stand. The Bible says the devil is going about like a roaring lion, seeking whom to devour. He is not coming physically; he is coming spiritually. And once he finds you armor less, defenseless, he attacks. And that’s why we read that Isaiah 42:22; these are a people rubbed and plundered. Why? No armor, defenseless people. All of them are ensnared in holes, they are hidden in prison houses, they are for prey and no one delivers, they are for plunder no one says restore. No one speaks the truth.

 

The word of truth is the armor of the believer. The word of truth sanctifies us, purifies us, makes us holy, makes us separate, makes us dedicated vessels. While the message was going on yesterday and we read a particular Scripture that talks about us being washed, sanctified; I washed that wash came first. If you have dirty cloths, do you keep them in your wardrobe? What do you do? You arrange and keep them somewhere. But what happens when they are washed? You fold them, iron them, give them attention and then you set them apart. That’s what happens to us as believers, when we become washed by the blood, and we come in receiving the gifts of righteousness, the is the word of truth that will sanctify us and set us apart. Then we are justified by faith.

 

The word of truth sanctifies us-the believer. Everyone that holds the armor of God, the truth, the word, is sanctified. The Bible says; touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm. It is not olive oil that anoints you, it’s the word. It’s not Goya oil, it’s the word. The word makes you anointed. He said the words that I speak to you they are spirits and they life. When the word comes to you, the word washes you, washing of the water by the word. It makes you anointed. Because the word that comes from God are anointed words. When they come into your life you become anointed. Touch not my anointed, so you are set apart, and do my prophet no harm. The truth dedicates you as a holy vessel to God. you are dedicated. The word comes into your life and dedicates you. And say this one is of God. So, how does it come about?

 

The word of truth is powered by the Spirit of truth.  John 16:13; “However, when He; who is He? The Holy Spirit! The Spirit of truth, has come, He will guild you, into all truths. For He will not speak of His own authority. He will not take initiative on His own, He will speak my words, my anointed words to you. But whatever He hears, He will speak. And He will tell you things to come. I love that particular verse and we are going to unbundle it. “But when He the Spirit of truth comes, He will guild you into all truth.” Why do you need guidance into all truths? Because the truth is what sets you free. Every believer is still bound until the truth sets him or her free. That’s why you will see somebody that is born again after receiving Jesus as his Lord and savior that is still struggling with pornography, that is still struggling with lies, still struggling with smoking, still struggling with fornication and adultery. Why? There is a truth that has not made that person free. The person is still bound.

 

What sets you free is not righteousness, its truth. What gives you liberty in the Spirt is not faith, its truth. What makes you free is not grace, its truth. Because you must understand how all these play their role in arming the believer for dominion. He-Jesus said; He ‘the Holy Spirit’ will guild you into all truth. That means you must be set free in every area, so He will guild you into all truth. That’s the assignment of the Holy Spirit. And I am going to spend a bit of time here. That’s the assignment of the Holy Spirit; you can’t be born again haven accepted Jesus as your Lord and savior and you are not filled with the Holy Spirit, you don’t have fellowship with the Holy Spirit, you don’t have communion with the Holy Spirit, how will you be guided into all truths. No wonder there are still many areas of your life where you are in bondage. Why? Because there is no fellowship pf the Holy Spirit, there is no fellowship with the Spirit of truth, you are not guided into all truths.

 

The truth you know is the one you stumbled upon. The Holy Spirit is actually the executor of the curriculum. He is like the dean of student affairs of the university of God. All the courses you will take; He is the one that will take care of them. He is actually the dean of student affairs. He is the dean of sons of Gods affairs and we are actually students. We are students of the Holy Spirit, students of the life of God affairs. For every one that comes into Christ Jesus, you need the Holy Spirit. You cannot be guided into all truth without Him. He is the one. He said when He has come; Has He come into your life? if He has come are you allowing Him to guild you into all truths. There are truths you don’t know. They are the reason why those small foxes, those little weights are still there. There are truths you don’t know that you have not been guided into. That’s why the victory you are supposed to command in your life is still withheld from you, the devil is still cornering you. The Holy Spirit will lead you and guild you into all truth. He is the one that powers the word of truth. He brings it alive. We can’t overemphasize the Holy Spirit because, we are in Hi dispensation.

 

Everything that Christ is, is revealed by the Holy Spirit. You want to be like Christ? You need the Holy Spirt, you want to do the works of Christ, you need the Holy Spirit, you want to live the life Christ, you need the Holy Spirit, you want to understand Christ, you need the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is the secret. The Bible says that He is the seal upon all of us till the day we are redeemed unto God. everyone that has the mark of Christ on him or her is under His tutelage. He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak in His own initiative, He won’t tell you this is the Holy Spirit speaking not Christ. As the Holy Spirit do this, I don’t know what Christ will tell you to do. He never does that, never! That’s why we must understand the interconnected unity of the trinity. It’s so powerful. The Holy Spirit will not speak in His own initiative but whatever He hears; He will speak. So, whatever the Holy Spirit hears concerning you, He will speak to you.

 

Sometimes we might say this Holy Spirit they talking about, how can all of us have the Holy Spirit? Yes, we can all have the Holy Spirit because He is God. God is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient. He can be everywhere working at the same time. He is not limited, He is limitless. So, your life because the Holy Spirit will actually hear from Christ and say that one million and seventy fifth child in this kingdom, this is how they should journey, this is the script of the Father concerning her. And the Holy Spirit will say yes I receive it, okay I will guild him on the path. The script of your life is Gods script. God has the will, you were designed by God, your purpose originated from God, and Christ is the means through which you can receive that script, that you can ever live the life of God.

 

That’s why Jesus said, no one can come to the Father, except; that you can ever live the life the Father has designed for you, it must be through Christ Jesus. And how does Christ make it possible for you on the earth? The Holy Spirit. So, the Script of your life from the Father is engineered through Christ Jesus and executed by the Holy Spirit. So, you can never do the will of God, you can never know the will of God; the Bible says who knows the heart of God safe the Spirit of God. The heart of God for you, you can’t know it until the Holy Spirit delivers it to you. And that’s why the Bible says whatever He hears; where is He hearing it from? The throne; directly from the throne.

 

When you go to the book of Revelation you will see that when they worship, they will say; worship the One seated on the throne. God is the One seated on the throne and His Lamb seated by His right side. So, there is no confusion, but the same albescence, reverence that they give to the one seated on the throne, they give to the Lamb, why? The one seated on the throne has glorified Him. The Scripture is not a story book; it is the truth. It is the Holy Spirit that can help you understand it. The letters kill, but the Spirit gives life. So it said; whatever He hears He will speak and He will disclose to you; what is He disclosing? The will of the Father, the heart of the Father. He will disclose to you what is to come-The Future.

 

That’s why when you come to God rightly dividing the word of truth by the help of the Spirit of truth the Holy Spirit, you will present yourself approved to God. We now understand 2 Timothy 2:15? You present yourself approved to God, you are approved because you are not ignorant. God said my people perish for lack of knowledge. The Holy Spirit will never allow you to be ignorant, that’s why it said a worker that does not need to be ashamed, you can never be ashamed with the Holy Spirit because He will teach you.

 

There is a Spirit in man, the inspiration of the Lord almighty that gives Him understanding. You can never be ashamed with the Holy Spirit. Because He will tell you things to come. You don’t get into life clueless with the Holy Spirit, you are armed with the word of truth. That’s why in John 14:17 it said the word cannot receive Him; the Holy Spirit is for believers. That’s why He is the executor of this curriculum. The Holy Spirit is not for the kingdom of darkness, He is not for the kingdom of the world, He is for the kingdom of Christ. You and I have the privilege, the honor, the esteemed honor to house Him. Such a privilege. The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father, He is the Spirit of truth. You can never rightly divide the word of truth outside the Holy Spirit. He powers it. Any truth that you need, He will guild you. When He guilds you into all truth, you will now take the truth as an armor and bring the thoughts, the lies, the cunningness, the craftiness of the devil, bringing them into captivity by it.

 

Our dominion is not in doubt; our dominion has been declared. One of the things that the Scripture does for you is that it opens you up to all that has been said. When you go to court and you already have the ruling of the court session, will you be afraid? Will you be anxious? That’s why Jesus said be anxious for nothing. Why should you be anxious? Things have been declared aforetime for your favor. It’s in the word of truth. Know the truth, the truth you know is what will make you free. It will give you liberty. I love that word liberty; because that’s what the Spirit gives. He is the Spirit of liberty, He is the Spirit of truth, it gives you liberty. Liberty to live the life of God. liberty to express all that God has put inside of you. Why? You have that communion with Him, that fellowship with Him. As you are fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit, He is leading you and guiding you into all truth. As you are fellowshipping with Him, He is hearing and He is speaking to you, He is showing you things that will come.

 

Is it not such a beautiful experience to have the Spirit of truth in you? I want us bow down our heads and speak to the Lord for the honor and privilege to house His Spirit let’s give praise, lets honor Him and say Lord I thank you.
