DISCIPLING NATIONS THROUGH PRAYERS

Discovering 'The How' And 'The Why'

In the evening Bible School, we were made to understand the ultimate plan of God for the nations, very instructive word that the Lord sent to us yesterday, letting us know that God is mindful of nations. In fact, God’s grand agenda is an agenda for nations. When God starts with individuals and people, His goal and his projection is not just looking at a few people, is not just looking at a few individual, God is always nation focused and we will see through the Scriptures even Jesus emphasizing the need for nations and we are going to start by looking at that particular verse, Matthew chapter 28, that’s where we will start from, Matthew chapter 28, and we will read verse 16 down to verse 20. What is God saying about the nations?

Listen to Podcast: DISCIPLING NATIONS THROUGH PRAYERS

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Matthew 28:16-20

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Now Jesus came to them even though He knew some doubted, but Jesus came with an instruction, Jesus came with a plan, with the grand agenda of heaven for the earth. Jesus came to announce the new phase of kingdom assignment, Jesus came to introduce to the disciples what they would live their lives doing. Jesus did not address the doubt in their mind because He knows that it’s just a matter of time, those that doubted will believe. Jesus said to them, all authority, and this statement is so important because that’s the first statement that Jesus uttered to his disciples at this point. He said all authority has been given to me. If Jesus had said all authority has been given to me in heaven then we should be worried, then we should be concerned, then we should be looking for the person or the persons that have authority on earth but see what Jesus said, He said all authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. All authority!

When we talk about authority, authority is so important, authority is something you don’t want to joke with. Some people have power, no authority. Some people have riches, no authority. You ask yourself, why do rich politicians eventually go into politics? They have money, that money commands some kind of power but what they want really is authority. They want to be in charge, they want to call the shots. They want to be behind the scene making things happen. So when Jesus said, all authority! Because that is the bone of contention!

You cannot disciple nations without authority. If authority is not given to you, you cannot command results. Now when the whole of Nigeria elected the President of Nigeria, what happened is that we conferred authority to a man, so they will say that the President is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. What does that mean? It is not just a title. It tells us that he has authority to declare a war, to clear out an entire territory. At his word, things happen. When he keeps quiet, things remain, status quo is observed. Now, Why is it that what he is saying is different from what I am saying? Authority!

When somebody comes and says at the word of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, this street is supposed to be closed, what happens is that all the law enforcement agents, that’s when you will see Police, you will see Civil defence, you will see all manner of uniform personnel, what are they doing? They are coming to back up the word. One man, in fact he did not move an inch, he did not carry AK 47, but on his behalf, parastatals, agencies, forces are moving into action. The Holy Spirit is laying this foundation so that we understand what Jesus is saying here, He said all authority! Not some authority! Not certain authority, all! Meaning there is no one else where. Everything!

The Bible says, when Jesus died, He went into the grace, He went to hell, He stripped the devil of all his power and authority because what happened was that Adam had given authority to the devil over the years so the devil had authority over the years until Jesus came to die. That’s why that act of Jesus is what He came to declare. He said, beforehand, before this time, authority has been subjected to debate, who has the authority? And you will see that. The Bible says when Moses died, there was contention over his body because the devil felt, ‘Moses, the reason why God killed you is because you disobeyed. So I have some right, I have some authority’ because the devil is the chief and the prince of the children of disobedience, right?

And there was contention until the angel of God came and said ‘Devil, the Lord rebuke you’. So, in the authority of God, the body of Moses was saved, but when Jesus came, He came to settle once and for all, contentions. So, He went into hell, stripped the devil of all the authority and power, and Jesus was made bold to say yes! Not because He is the Son of God but because of what He has obtained on our behalf. He said all authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.

And He said because of this He said, go therefore, you will see that we can’t separate verse 18 from verse 19. All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me because of this, for this reason, go therefore, now you are able to do kingdom assignment without fear, without contention because all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. He said go therefore and make disciples of all the nations. This is kingdom mandate. This is the mandate for every disciple, and every leader, every son in the kingdom of God. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations. And I will make you understand what God is saying here. He said baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Now, for some people this will sound like religion, the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was not making a religious statement. This was not making us feel comfortable, and just saying it because he wants us to know that they are three that bears record in heaven. He is not just saying it to make you aware that see oh! We are three in one. We are God the trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Now, He is saying this because there is something emphatic about it. He said go therefore, make disciples of all the nations. And this is how we can make it happen, baptizing them, baptizing means immerse them, soak them into, make them have an experience, in the name of the Father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit. Discipling nations requires a three path head or let me call it, three pathways achieving this. Jesus made us understand again, baptizing them in the name of the Father. What does that mean? Apostle Paul was speaking and most of the time when he wants to close his conversations, he will talk about the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

I want you to follow this, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, not the grace of the Father. The love of the Father and the fellowship, the communion of the Holy Spirit and Jesus said here, baptizing them in the name of the Father so baptizing them into the love of God. When you are discipling nations, the first thing you have to do is to baptize them into the love of God. People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. That is why you cannot disciple nations without first discipling them into the love of the Father. You must let them know who the Father is, you must make them understand what the love of the Father is towards them. How the Lord loves everyone! John 3: 16, For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son. Every time you go into the Scriptures and you want to look out for love, it’s always synonymous with the God-head, the Father, because it’s the love of the Father. If you are going to baptize nations, you must baptize them, you must immerse them, you must soak them into the love of God.

So, you are not seeing them the way they appear, you see them through the eyes of the love of the Father because the truth is this, until we start seeing the way God sees, God said to Samuel, men look at the outward appearance but I God, I look at the heart. The love of the Father is targeted at the hearts of men so it’s not dependent on how they look, they can have tattoo all over their bodies and pierce their ears. The love of the Father is still reaching out to them. They can be a nation of young people that steal, that kills, that commits all sort of atrocities, the love of the Father is still locating them.

Remember the story of the prodigal son. It’s to show us the love of the Father, this boy had gone in riotous living, he had taken his portion and he has squandered it but the Bible makes us to see the love of the Father. The Bible says when he came back to his senses, when he came back to himself. The Father was waiting with open arms, ready to receive him. That is the kind of love that Jesus said baptize the nations into. Baptize nations into the love of God, in the name of the Father, in the name of love because the Father is love personified, the Father loves to his own hurt that he would give up his only Son for a generation of people that did not know him. No man can love like that only the Father.

So, you baptize nations into that love, baptize them into that love, let them see the love of God that is beyond understanding and comprehension, that how can a personality love the world so much? Baptize them into the love of the Father! You can’t disciple nations successfully if you don’t understand the love of the Father, because you won’t know what God is saying. That was the problem Jonah had, Jonah didn’t understand the love of the Father and God sent Jonah to Nineveh, go and speak my word to this nations and because Jonah had seen God severally, that what kind of person is this, you will say you want to do something and if this people just fast for one day, you will change your mind, why are you so easily touched? It’s the love of the Father. Jonah didn’t understand it and he wanted to flee.

Eventually when he came back to himself and he came to the assignment and he preached, the whole land repented, he was sitting angry and some of us are like that, you can’t disciple nations with that kind of Jonah spirit, you can’t. You need to understand the love of the Father to disciple nations. You must understand what God is saying, how God is looking at them. You must understand the intent and the will of God concerning them. You must understand that they are like prodigal children, they have gone their way but the Father is waiting for them, they are coming back. That’s the act of the Father’s love.

You know, there is a song that talks about the reckless love of God, in fact that person called it, how can God be waiting for me to change? And He just knows I am going to change, that song talks about the height that God can go because of his love for you. It’s the Father. That’s’ the kind of love he has for the nations. It said “oh! The overwhelming, never ending, reckless love of God”. It goes beyond what our minds can comprehend. You are just thinking, God why? God why? I have heard someone ask the question, when Jesus knew that Judas Iscariot was going to betray him, why did he pick him in the first place? In fact, Jesus had already seen him, when e was having meetings with the chief priest, why didn’t He just you know, make one of his disciples to blow the whistle? But He was waiting because you see, God has given us such a power of choice, that we can either accept or reject his love.

He doesn’t even force his love down our throat. So, for you to disciple nations, you must understand the love of the Father. You must baptize men into that love, make them see, that see the devil’s plan for you is to kill and to destroy you but God has come to give you life. Oh! His love is reaching out to you and that’s it. The love of God is reaching out to nations. And that’s why we must disciple them into that love. Come and experience the love of God. He is not a big Father that is waiting for you to make a mistake and just give you ‘koboko’.

Jesus demonstrated the love of the Father to Peter, He said the enemy is waiting for you, his plan is to sift you like wheat but I have prayed for you’. That’s the kind of love. You must baptize people into this love, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ! Men must be baptized into the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. The grace that teaches you to shun evil, to shun unrighteousness and accept the truth. The grace that teaches! Nations must be baptized into the grace of the Son. They must be baptized into the truth of the Son. Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life. So, nations must be baptized into that grace, the grace that makes heaven resources available without you paying for it. The grace that gives you access. For you to disciple nations, you must understand the grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ so that you can baptize men into the fullness of that grace. He said of his fullness, we have received grace for grace.

The grace of Jesus is so strong, you don’t deserve it, you have done nothing to deserve it, yet the grace is reaching out to you. The Bible says while we were yet sinners, Christ died. Oh! What kind of love Jesus has. He has made his grace available. And the Bible talks about sufficient grace. His grace is sufficient. You must baptize men into that grace. For you to disciple nations successfully, you must baptize them into that grace. And when we are talking about this, discipling nations is bringing nations under the influence and the control of the trinity.  For you to baptize nations, you are to bring them under the influence, you are bringing men, you are bringing women, you are bringing kings, you are bringing queens under the influence and the control of the love of God, under the influence and control of the grace of God and under the influence and the control of the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. You can never successfully disciple nations, if they don’t understand the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. The deep communion that must take place that God has made available in the personality of the Holy Spirit.

Priscilla and Aquila met a brother called Apollos and this brother was so passionate, so zealous, he knew about the love of the Father and he would disciple people with it anywhere but they realized he is not discipling correctly, they took him aside and they taught him further and they said see, for you to disciple correctly, you must understand the grace of Jesus Christ and you must understand the fellowship of the Holy Spirit and after that experience, that brother went exploding for the Lord, discipling effectively. We can’t effectively disciple nations if we don’t understand the fellowship of the Holy Spirit and note this, you cannot give what you don’t have, if the love of the Father is not expressive through you, the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ is not at work in you and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit is not your experience, you can’t give it. So, for you to disciple nations, that means you must be a disciple too and this three phases or pathway must be evident in your life.

Understanding that discipling nations is bringing nations under the influence and the control of the trinity and that’s the plan of God for Australia, He wants to bring the people of Australia under the influence and control of the love of God, of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and of the fellowship, the communion of the Holy Spirit. If this three is not in place, then it’s not effective discipling and I pray God will raise men, men and women that will disciple with correct understanding, that will go all out discipling nations with this fire of bringing men into functional relationship with the Father in his love and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the fellowship of the Spirit, in the name of Jesus.

Let us go to Luke chapter 11, we are looking at the other part of discipling nations through prayers. So, Luke chapter 11, I will read from verse 9 to verse 13

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11 If a son asks for [e]bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

Luke 11:9-13

To disciple nations through prayers, you must understand the three phase dimensions or the three stage dimensions of praying through, you can’t disciple nations if you cannot pray through. Daniel showed us an example of praying through. Daniel said I understood from the books, the will of God concerning his people and he went on his knees and he asked God for that which was written and the Bible says that from the moment he knelt down to pray, God has given response because there were adversaries. And Daniel did not stop praying until a response was delivered to him. That is praying through. When you pray through, that’s why the Bible says ask until your joy is full, that’s’ praying through.

So if this three stages are not completed, you are not ready to disciple nations by prayer because what God will give to you is access. And we are going to be looking at this three stages very quickly.

Stages of prayer that disciple nations, Number one, Asking –When you ask, what do you do? John chapter 14 verse 12 to 14;

12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

John 14:12 -14

“Most assuredly, I say to you, Jesus speaking, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. If I am able to disciple nations, you will disciple nations too and you will even do much more, that’s’ what Jesus is saying. And He said ‘And whatever you ask, asking! Whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Now see verse 14, If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. So, when we are asking, Jesus said ask in my name, your focus should be me. When you are turning your attention to ask, for you to disciple nations successfully, you must turn your attention to Jesus. You must look unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of your faith. You must trust God, you must trust Jesus to deliver to you what you ask because he said in that Luke chapter 11, He said ask and you will receive and for whosoever ask receives. So, we must ask in his name. And what should we be asking? Let us see Matthew chapter 21: 22. I believe these Scriptures will help us, that’s why we are taking our time to read it.

22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

 Matthew 21: 22

And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, So asking and receiving that we read in Luke chapter 11, there is a continuous process that must be in place that it looks as if it was skipped, in prayer, believing, you will receive.  Whosoever asks, receives, Whosoever asks, believing, receives. So if you are not believing, you can’t receive. So, if you are asking God for things, and you have not received, maybe you are not believing because Jesus said and whatever things you ask in prayer believing, you will receive. Something is important, we must be asking God for Colossians 1: 9 because we are talking to Leaders, so we must understand that you don’t just wake up in the morning and be asking God for fried rice and ‘dodo’, there are things you ask for that propels other things in your life.

9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

Colossians 1: 9

Apostle Paul said for this reason, we also since the day we heard of it, do not cease, we pray without ceasing on this issue because if you can get this, it will help you to get other things. He said we don’t cease to pray for you, and to ask. So this is what we are asking God on your behalf and this is what you all should also be asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will, before you can disciple nations, you must ask that you are filled with the knowledge of his will because if it’s not his will at that time that you are asking him, you can’t receive it. So, you must ask that you are filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. This same Scripture was repeated in James chapter 1 verse 5. He said if anyone lacks wisdom among you, He said let him ask of God, and Apostle Paul is saying the same thing in Colossians 1:9, so that you are filled with wisdom and the knowledge of his will and understanding. So, you should know what you are asking for, If you ask wisdom from God, forget it, it is as though you are asking for money.

Two weeks ago or last week, we were talking about, asking, seeking first the kingdom of God, that if you can do that, there are certain things that you will ask for that comes with added advantage, this is one of it. When you are interested in the knowledge of God’s will and you are interested in wisdom and understanding, the same thing that God did with Solomon, he will do with you, when all your focus is to know him. Apostle Paul did not ask for money, he didn’t ask for influence. He said my desire is that I am know him. So, if you want to disciple nations, what are you asking for? Some of us have been asking for wrong things. You have been asking God, if you can just give me a car, let them just see me in that big car. When I just arrive, they will know that yes, this is a child of God. But God is saying see, if you can align yourself correctly. It’s just like you finding a path of gold. Even though you have not really found the gold, if you continue in that path, it’s just a matter of time, you will find gold. That’s what happens when we seek the knowledge of his will.

When you seek the knowledge of his will, that’s why the Bible says your path will draw fatness. On the path of the knowledge of God’s will, there is fatness for your destiny but you must be asking for the right thing, ask for the knowledge of his will. The same thing in Ephesians chapter 1 verse 16-17, the same prayer but in another way was repeated. We are asking for the knowledge of God’s will, we are asking for the spirit of understanding and wisdom and counsel. If you can receive that, you will receive added advantage in the kingdom because if you go to Proverbs and you read careful, on wisdom rides wealth, rides peace. He started describing wisdom, he said her house is filled with riches. Wealth and honour is in her house. Wisdom!

So, when God says focus your attention on something, understand it. Focus on it oh! Don’t be distracted because with it comes added advantage.  1st John chapter 5, this is so important and that’s why we are taking so much time to read and dig into the Scriptures because it will help our lives and destiny.

14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

1st John 5: 14-15

Now this is the confidence that we have in him, This helps us to understand that when we ask God for anything, don’t doubt. Now we are praying and reaching out to Australia, don’t say ah! Is Australia not far away? See us here in Abuja and we are asking God to do things in Australia. Are we not supposed to go there? We will now stand on the soil and we will now say, we are now in Australia. That’s why Jesus was speaking to the woman at the well. The woman started telling Jesus story how it used to happen in those days. She said, they said we should not worship on this mountain because if we worship on this mountain, we won’t be able to face Jerusalem. They said we should go and worship on that other mountain because if we worship there, we can easily face Jerusalem. Then our prayers will be answered. Jesus said see, it doesn’t matter, the time has come, whether you worship on this mountain or that mountain, whether you are physically in Australia or you are here in Abuja. It does not matter your physical location. Things in the spirit are not tied to location. It’s about how well connected you are to Jesus and how well connected you are to the frequency of the spirit to understand how God is set to do in Australia.

He said God is not looking for those that will stand and be facing somewhere, those that will seek him and will search for him with the whole of their heart. God will collapse time in their favour. He will collapse locations in their favour. Where we were reading, He said now this is the confidence that we have that if we ask anything and that’s why we read Colossians 1:9, if we ask anything. Read your Bible, according to his will. So, that’s why you must pray for the knowledge of his will so that when you are asking, you are not praying amiss. Anything according to his will, he hears us. God gives attention, once you are speaking in his language. God gives you attention when you are quoting the constitution of His word. God gives you attention when what you are asking is in the to-do list of heaven and he said if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, whatever! As long as we have aligned ourselves with his will. We know that we have the petitions that we have asked of him. We have it. We receive it. So we believe not because we are just believers. We believe because we are in alignment with his will. We know without any shadow of doubt that God will do it.

So this few days that we have been praying and trusting and  lifting our voice to God concerning Australia, we know that God will do it because we have been asking God to raise spiritual leaders, we’ve been asking God to remove the cloak and the veil of religion away from the eyes of the Australians. We have no doubt in our hearts that God will do it because we are asking in alignment with his will.  So, you can apply this to your life, you can apply it to your ministry, you can apply this to anything in your life, it works. What you should first seek for is the knowledge of his will, ‘Lord, I want to know you’. That’s what Apostle Paul did. He said see, this one thing I do, I forget the things that are behind. I press on and this is my desire as I press on, that I may know Him because once I can align myself with his will, he settles it, once I can align myself with his will, whatever I ask I receive it.

Number two, Seeking; the second stage of prayer to disciple nations. The first one you ask, and we have seen what we should ask, we should ask for the knowledge of his will. You want to know oh Lord God! What are you saying about Nigeria? If you pray what God is saying about Nigeria, you will receive it. ‘God, what are you saying about Australia?’ If you receive what God is saying about Australia and you pray it, you will receive it. Number two, Seeking. Matthew chapter 6, what should we seeking?  I will read only one or two Scriptures here so that we can go to the third part.

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Mathew chapter 6 verse 33

But seek first, Jesus has mentioned some of the things that the Gentiles are seeking after,  things they are pressurizing their lives with but He said but as for you, seek first, make priority the kingdom of God and His righteousness. So, what you are seeking  as a child of God, as a disciple of Jesus, as a leader in God’s army in this end time? You should seek God. You should seek the interest of his kingdom. Last week we spent a lot of time discussing kingdom focused prayers, this should be what you give your attention to, seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and He said all these things, all these things that the Gentiles run after, all these things that the Gentiles use all their time and energy to seek will come to you.

I remember there was a wind of revelation some four, five years back about the fact that God wants to convert the wealth of the Gentiles to the children of God. And many people started confessing, they started reaching out and they said ‘Yes, God we believe it. God, let it come. Turn out the riches of the Gentiles over to your children. Let wealth change hand but something that the children of God refused to understand at that time is that wealth only change hands into those that seek first the kingdom of God because you are a child of God does not give you automatic right or automatic ticket into kingdom resources. You qualify for it.

Even though you are a child, you are a son, you don’t just jump at things because you are a child of God, you qualify for it and Jesus gave us a classic example, Jesus chose to seek first the heart of God. He was in the garden of Gethsemane and he knelt down and the pressure was much, Oh! The burden was heavy and he started praying and the Bible says His sweat was like a drip of blood but when He was praying, what was He seeking? What was He seeking for? Was He seeking his comfort?  Was He seeking that God should spare his life? No! He was seeking first the kingdom of God. He said “God not my will but yours be done” because He understood the will of God. And He asked “Lord, not my will”. Lord, I will like to be living in Asokoro at this point of my life. In fact God, at this point, in the state of the security in Nigeria, I wish I am even living inside the Aso Rock so that you know, by the time, they want to do everything, there is guard in Aso Rock but God, not my will. I will stay where you ask me to stay, I will be at that location where you ask me to be. Father, not my will but yours be done’. Those are the sons that qualify for inheritances in the kingdom.

The inheritances that Jesus died to receive follow the order of the example of the life Jesus lived. The Bible says that Jesus was given a name that is above every other name, why? Because of the things He suffered and He learnt obedience by those things. He did not count it robbery to be equal with God because of what He sacrificed, seeking first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. He was given a name, a glory that is above every other glory, above every other name. At the name of Jesus, every knee bows and every tongue confess. So seeking through prayers, you are not praying for yourself. You are seeking God. You are putting the interest of God first. You are putting the mandate of God first. You are abandoning yourself to focus on God.

13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:13

Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 13, He said if you will seek God. Every time you go to the Scriptures, the Bible instructs us to seek God not money. Not fame. Not influence. Seek God!

6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Hebrews 11:6

Hebrews 11:6, God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him. Seek God!

11 Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore!

1st Chronicles 16:11

1st Chronicles 16:11; the same thing seek God!

Acts 17, I will love to read that, we read that in the evening Bible school yesterday, very instructive. Acts 17, I will just read one verse.

27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;

Acts 17: 27

So that they should seek the Lord. He said He has made from one blood, every nation so that they should seek the Lord in the hope that they might grope for Him, and find Him. Jesus said in Luke 11, whosoever asks receives, whosoever seeks, finds. So, what are you seeking? Whatever you are seeking for, you will find. If you are seeking God, you will find Him though He is not far from each one of us. God is not far from each one of us. If only we will seek Him. Some of us are trusting God for powers that will disciple nations, wisdom that will disciple nations, seek God! Those are the kind of prayers you should be praying, that’s how you disciple nations by seeking God. Seek Him!

The third stage of prayer is Knocking. Revelations chapter 3 verse 7 to 8;

7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: 8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.

Revelations 3:7-8

Jesus is the one that has the key. Jesus gives us access to doors. There are so many Scriptures that I would have loved to read but I will just read Colossians 4: 3. Take note of 2nd Corinthians 2: 12, 1st Corinthians 16:8- 9 and Psalm 24 verse 7 but I will read Colossians chapter 4 verse 3 and this is what the testimony of the early disciples

Word of Confession: (Optional)

Lord Jesus, I confess to you that I have sinned against the LORD God - in the rebellion of my heart, I have disappointed your expectations on my life. I have fallen from Your grace and followed wrong influences around me. Today, I retrace my steps back to you - and I ask that in your mercy you accept me as your son and give to me (again) the promise of the Father - the Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus, please, come and make my heart your home, and from there rule in the affairs of all men. In Jesus Name I have prayed.
