In such a matter as this, as it bothers on our CHRISTIAN JOURNEY, we must be very careful so that whatever we may desire today wouldn’t in any way rob us of our hope, eternal life; what we have no second chance to get, once it is missed. Nobody will run or participate in the race to heaven twice. Briefly, we want to examine a question that seems to be a concern in the hearts of many believers through the provision of God’s light as much as the Holy Spirit will grant us access. A lot has been said on this subject already by people we respect so much in our common Faith, and others who deemed it fit that they should say something about it.

 

“IS IT A SIN FOR A CHILD OF GOD, A BELIEVER, TO USE WEAVON, ATTACHMENT, LIPSTICK, EYE SHADOW... AND THE LIKES THAT ENHANCE FEMININE APPEARANCE?”

 

It will not profit us anything if we dare to risk our journey because of anything possible. As regards the matter of weavon, attachment..., or women make-up items, generally, I want to sound it clear here that it is not a question of the Law, nor the prophets, the entire teachings of the Old Testament Scriptures at all. As a matter of fact, every child of GOD under the dispensation of GRACE, justified by Faith alone, is not under any such Law, but has the responsibility to be led of the Holy Spirit.

 

It is more compulsory for you and I to live in the Spirit, and be led by the Holy Spirit daily than it is a matter of choice or not. It is not optional; it is our lifestyle; it is the requirement of our spiritual nature. It is not a matter of, if my father likes let him come, or I have to be going. As long as our spiritual worship is concerned, to be led of the Holy Spirit is compulsory. He must be allowed to take charge of how we lead this our new life. According to Romans 8:14, the Bible says, "The true sons of God are those who let God’s Spirit lead them".

 

In the light of this scripture, Romans 8:14, if it were to be taken by all believers for what it is, and everyone of us is ensuring that it becomes his/her experience, I don't think we would have had many opinions that we have in the midst of these many conflicting revelations and insights coming from left, right, and center, on how a Christian woman is to make up to enhance what GOD had made already. It will amaze you what the Bible says in 1 John chapter 2 verse 27:” But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know [or do], and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ”.

 

Do you see it? It’s not optional for any believer to go about on his or her own to choose who should lead his or her life. It is an exclusive duty or role of the Holy Spirit in us and to us to handle. Except He teaches us, there is no way anyone of us at his or her best can live in fellowship (union) with Christ. I love this scripture so much that, I wish it is our basic experience all through our journey and labour with Christ on earth, until the rapture, the fulfillment of our Great Hope.

 

To me the term "make up" as it is popularly called sounds like correcting what is defective, or adding to what is not enough; but I pray GOD does not feel it that way, too. Because if I truly believe that my beauty or how I look naturally was fashioned, or it comes from the Lord; it then means there is a purpose in the mind of GOD for how I look, whether it is pleasing to me or otherwise. And for the understanding that my look is divinely intentional and Godly purposeful, I should be pleased that He had made me for who I look, or who I am, and give thanks out of a grateful heart. Anyway, that is a talk for another day. (See Gen. 1:26,27; 2:7.)

 

Making up is a matter or an issue of the mind. Actually, “godliness is a great source of profit when it is combined with being happy with what you already have.” (See 1 Timothy 6:6, CEB.) If not for lack of contentment, Angel Lucifer wouldn’t have turned Satan, and Adam would have still been alive today on the earth. Yes, God didn’t create man according to his image and likeness with the intention that one day he will fall down and die. But when unholy desire was permitted/allowed by man to take him over, death was introduced into the experience of man, the leader of all  God’s creatures that move, fly, and creep upon the face of the earth. We have lost our spiritual values today like Adam lost his spiritual dominion to the devil due to lust and pride of life; agitation for more, more, and more.

 

The devil and the world decide what we do, and don't do. Is it not sad to you, too, that the world designs and decides our taste and hunger today? When the world wants us to start running in her direction pursing one thing, after one new product, we will lose every sense to even think if that is necessary in the first place. We do it as if we   could breathe our last, if that product were not placed on our palm soon. If you hear of the thousands or millions that some Christian women spend on make ups, artificial hairs, nails, and jewelries alone, you will understand why GOD is warning us not to company with the world, or be conformed to the pattern and taste of worldly lifestyle.

 

Do you suppose or think that the Grace to make money or get wealth is given to you by the Lord for the sake of you — just you — so you can spend it upon your lust and greed and overbearing desires? If your answer is yes, you are missing it. You don't know it yet, you will account for every kobo one day, so will I... Your pastor might had made you believe that once you pay your tithe (10%) of your every income, the rest is yours as it was practice under the Law. Don't worry, if you don't turn your life and resources wholly over to GOD to seek the leading of His Spirit on how you should use /spend your life and every single resource He supplies to you for His Glory; you will discover one day, AFTER THIS TÎME, that you have made a shipwreck of life, wasted Grace to the profit of nothing.

 

The truth we need to know about all the items women use for make-up is made obvious for us in the letter of John: “Don’t love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him [or her]. Everything that is in the world—the craving for whatever the body feels, the craving for whatever the eyes see and the arrogant pride in one’s possessions—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world and its cravings are passing away, but the person who does the will of God remains forever”. (1 John 2:15-17, CEB.) Now, the question I will want you to sleep over and meditate upon your bed is this: If weavon, eye shadow, attachment, lipstick... are not from the Lord, OUR FATHER;  GOD is not the one who supplies them, but the world, and the world — the system of the world— the prince of this world, the  enemy of your father, and our accuser; do you think the world or the devil is helping you to be like GOD, or to obey GOD, or hear/listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit in your life?

 

What I am asking you to do is this, I know you have good knowledge of the scriptures, but in this matter that the Lord is saying all these items: weavon, attachment, eye Shadows, and other make up items are not of Him, He did not intend them for us, nor has He decided to be the one supplying them, He is not the source from which they come, meaning they are not part of His perfect will for His children; do you think the devil (because if they don’t  belong to God, to whom else do they belong?) or the world who made the supply to build in you more hunger and desire for Christ?

 

Don't you think using the items of a manufacturer is like inviting him to come to you? Have you ever wondered why many women go or comes for deliverance services week in, week out more than men, and women are the ones that easily fall under the power of the anointing than men? If you don't know the answer, I am sure of the answer, and I am going to provide it later as we continue in this discussion. “Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,” according to Philippians chapter 2 from verse 9 to 10.

 

WHY DO WOMEN FALL MORE UNDER ANOINTING THAN MEN?

^“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and TO KEEP ONESELF UNSPOTTED FROM THE WORLD.”  

“I will give thanks and praise to You [GOD], for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well ” (Ps. 139:14).

Among every creature of God, both the ones that are visible to our human eyes, and those ones that can only be seen by revelation (in realm of the spirit), none of them can stand the lasting beauty the Lord God has furnished the daughters and sons of men with. But one thing the devil has never repented of is making human race (men and women) to do things that God will see the lack of contentment that has laid hold of the souls of men and women. If I was made by God, and I truly believe I am, except I want to say I am not sure, what else can you or I add to our fashion, look, elegance that can ever fine-tune us beyond the glory that we already carry from the day we were born?

 

The flower of the field is as beautiful as it is, because it has accepted its divine making with thanksgiving judging God faithfully for how it is made. The dogs that are used as pets, how comes we are satisfied with them as they are, but we are discontented with our own natural make-up, beauty, and glory? How could God make man of lesser glory than other elements and the inhabitants of the earth, yet the Bible says God has crowned man with glory and honor above all the works of His hand, and has made him (male and female) lord over all the works of His hand?

 

Let’s read these particular verses of the Book of Psalms chapter 8 from verse 4 to 9 for us to see what we are already by divine default, but through our lifestyles we communicating lack of satisfactions, telling God, our Creator, “What is this that you have made, this is how I should have looked and not the beauty that I was fashioned with from my mother’s womb? And when women run up and down to enhance this or that (nails, eyelid, eyelashes, fixing eyes, disfiguring their lips, inflating the size of their breast and buttock, discoloring their hairs, and all the lacks that humanity had inherited from the antient Jezebel), we don’t know that we are already bowing down in worship to the gods of this world. You must not carry idol before you before you can become a worshiper of idol. It only requires taking side with what is not of God to become a worshiper of what is not God.

 

The World can never make any of us takes after our heavenly Father — God is not cultureless — Adam and Eve lost their honour and glory the day they believed the devil that actually they were created by God, but there is something they thought they could become which the Lord has prevented them from. And in the mercy of God, He did not drag it with them, nor come down by thunder to say, no, you are perfectly fine already, rather God allowed man to fall away to actually clear his doubt. Was there anther added information that was hiding from man? Till this day, what is it that man has been able to find out that God didn’t tell him than discovery that, “Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher [Man], vanity of vanities! All is vanity”.

 

The day Satan asked the Lord Jesus to bow down to worship him, he did ask Jesus to do it once, and that will be all. It just a suggestion, Satan will only come with a suggestion, just add this, you will look more attractive, you will command more physical attraction, you will command more respect, and here we are, we have all fallen for the deception of the lies of the devil not minding what God has given us already, and the Bible bears witness that we are already. Was it not the same error of Eve that brought humanity to this low life and suffering? We are still playing with our worst enemy the devil.

 

“What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit^[c] him? For You have made him a little lower than ^[d]the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen— Even the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas. O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth!”

 

This verse of the Bible says it all, and the number one thing every woman that uses all manner of make-up must note here is that, you are using items that the source is not perfect according to James chapter 1 verse 27. And when a consumer uses item(s) of a producer, it is an invitation/avenue for such producer to Love him/her for Loving its product; there is a tendency for such producer to visit her, or call her, or send her text like our normal network producers do, or better still establish a branch with her or near her.

 

It is also noticed that after such women fall to the floor during prayers, when they get up, they still remain the same. The experience is like when rain beats a stone, nothing will change about it. There is basically no impaction of life/Christ's value via the encounter because they are not yet ready or willing to be delivered. They are not ready to give up on self. They are holding unto GOD with one hand, and the world with another hand. Self is the worst enemy of spiritual life, no man can play smart with it, except it is denied, we can only do little or nothing at all to please the Lord. Man got self-nature from the devil, it is not from our Father, our God, so let it be known to you that, there is no way that a man/woman that is in the flesh can ever please God, or make lasting spiritual impact on the lives of men and woman of his or her generation.

 

Take them or let them come out for another prayer or deliverance next time, they will still fall down like other times. It will look as if GOD is not ready or able to deliver them. Of course, He can and He is ever ready; He does not turn away anyone that genuinely come to Him. He is Mighty to deliver and to save. But they are the ones who are not willing to surrender their entire being to GOD and become wholly His. And remain contented in the Lord JESUS. That is why some pastors or denominations will not accept to pray for people that have any of the women hair extension on. It is indeed a waste of time and spiritual energy to want to deliver a person that is not willing; even if the demon is cast out that very hour, it will still return to its base. (See Matt. 12:43-45.)

 

The only reason the prince of this world, the devil, will ever make any supply of any product whether new or old to the market, the world, it is nothing but to get customers and impact ungodliness, unrighteousness to the world, and to cause distraction or win ground in the lives of God's children like he did to Eve, Samson, and the rest. The devil has not retired, he is walking front and back round the Earth seeking whom he may devour in our midst, if we are not also careful with the use of the things of the world. I want you to think about MTN, or any network producer you use, the same way the network provider you use call you or send you text from time to time, that is how the demons that are in charge of the supply of these items follow up what they supply to achieve the purpose or objective for the product. To you it is normal and free, but to the devil it is not, in the spiritual realm, nothing happens without a defined intention for it.

 

Of course, you are the one thinking there is no problem with their use, adding that they are free, anyone can use them as much as she likes; but in the eyes of the spirit, they are not as innocent as they look. This is not meant to make anyone afraid; it is to let you know the trouble you are using your hands to buy for yourself. Ordinarily there is a reason for every product, and every product goes for the aim or purpose of its Production. Take the Facebook platform for instance, the world did not Design it ultimately for you nor me to use it for our Good and pleasure. Though, it is one of the best inventions of the world, but the truth is that, it is a meeting point for Good and Evil. The devil is a key active participant on Facebook. It is not wise at all for anyone to post their families best days and kids on social media. Satan has destroyed many, and he is still destroying many today through Facebook channel.

 

What about the transportation industry, do you know how many lives that the devil claims/kills every year through road accident? You may now want to ask me: "do people stop using cars because people die by road accident? The answer is NO.  We don't stop using cars, ships, airplanes, and others, but you have to understand the purpose, why each product is in the world, market? People use the transport facilities to enable them move or move people or goods from one location to another; but the hiding agenda of the prince of this world is not necessarily to move you or help you nor anyone of us move or our goods from one place to another, but to kill, steal, and to destroy.

 

He supplies them to the physical world, but why does the devil supply make-up items to the world since the Lord Jesus is saying, they are not of Him? You must understand it, you must get it before you allow his many activities ruin your life, and make you a partaker of its eternal destiny. When demons are attracted to one's life because of any of these products, and she eventually falls for the Love of them, and such an individual becomes open to satanic possession, or such a person either a babe in faith or backslider in faith is possessed of demons; do you suppose such individual can still obey the will of GOD for her? As a matter of fact, will demons and the Holy Spirit share anyone at a time?

 

The Holy Spirit does not stop your choice nor force any choice on you. The decision is yours on whom you may want to obey, and the one to keep off from. GOD did not stop Adam and Eve from their choice, but you know that they couldn't stop themselves from the pains of the consequences that accompanied their disobedience. GOD did not stop Samson, nor Judas Iscariot, nor Damas, and the rest in that lane, they made their choices. The Words, instructions, and teachings of our Lord JESUS to us is simple: Jesus continued to say to all of them, “Any of you who want to be my follower must stop thinking about yourself and what you want. You must be willing to carry the cross that is given to you every day for following me”. (Luke 9:23, ERV.)

 

You can't keep “SELF” and the Holy Spirit at same time; One must go for the other to be. As long as yourself still make sense to you, GOD will be disdained by you. As long as your desires and what you want to do still make sense, GOD, His way and Will and Desire will make no sense to you. You must be careful, seek to know, and be sure of whatever you want to do in the light of what the Holy Spirit is leading you to do; as regards your desires or how you want to look, so you don't create your own heaven and way to that heaven. “People think that whatever they do is right, but the Lord judges the reasons for everything they do.” (See Prov. 21:2, Luke 10:15.)

 

But when you subject whatever, your desire is to the Lord, the Holy Spirit, to be guided and guarded through, He will do for you like JESUS did in the garden of Gethsemane. “Father, if you are willing, please don’t make me drink from this cup. But do what you want, not what I want.” (Luke 22:42, ERV.) If you do this, you will not err. Every Word of the Lord to us is not because of GOD, it is because of us, so that we don't perish with the world due to all its lust and pleasures. It is not because of GOD; it is for our Good. This is the conclusion of the matter: “and those who use this world as not misusing it. For the form of this world is passing away”. (I Cor. 7:31, NKJV.)

 

Let’s read the same verse of the Bible in the Amplified version and Common English Bible:

“And those who use the world [taking advantage of its opportunities], as though they did not make full use of it. For the outward form of this world [its present social and material nature] is passing away”.

“Those who use the world should be like people who aren’t preoccupied with it, because this world in its present form is passing away.”

 

GOD understands the mind of darkness, of the spirit realm, it is plane before Him. The way we handle the Kingdom of the world and every of its item and counsel it is very, very essential for Heavenly minded ones. Except we are being careful with spiritual discipline, the devil has not ceased from its activities, he will implicate us. He will draw us away before we know it. Don't say it is not a problem, you can handle it. The devil is not a stranger with human nature. He knows the weakness of men, the living. Let us take heed for the hope that is set before us. Don't say there is not a problem with it, for the Holy Spirit to say we should be careful with the use of the things of the world, it means there is truly need for us to be careful with things that will easily ensnare us and cause us set back.  And the best way to be careful is to abstain from them.
